1. Democracy?
Harry ,   Toronto   (02.09.11)
Democracy in Egypt? Thats a joke. Its just a matter of time before the shooting starts. There are more than a million people working for the interior ministry. More than a million for the defense dept. How many demonstrators are there. Its just a matter of time before this CNN led revolution starts to waiver....and then get ready for the true nature of this regime to assert itself.
2. To Harry: Egypt is Starting to Really Burn
Noah Lev ,   hollywood USA   (02.09.11)
To Harry: Simply put, Mubarak, and the Presidents before him, were dictators. Whether Nasser or Sadat, only the names are different. And dont we remember who governed prior? Lets assume "democracy" does come to Egypt, so what? Will anything change? Its GDP (real and nominal) are giving the GDPP about 5,000 in buying power. Yes, the army and civil service and the commerical interests are Egypt, NOT the tens of millions of youth, who dont know what democracy requires. The Brotherhood is not now violent, as some claim..just fanatics. Give them power...however! A slow transition is probably the best idea, and differs from Obama, whose foreign policy skills are wanting, putting to tomorrow todays actions.. Nothing that he has done has achieved anything but more rancor and less stability..from Korea to Palestine to Iran. He is a loser, big time as are his policies from Obamcare to labor to the budget to the deficit and to Hez/Hamas and Islamic JIhad. Oh, we have fewer nukes, how nice.
3. Suleiman Is USA's Best Torturer
World Citizen ,   the world   (02.09.11)
So-called terrorists suspects captured by the Americans were and are being shipped directly to Egypt for torture. The Americans don't want to get their hands dirty so they have Suleiman's Interior Ministry do it for them. Suleiman is worst than Mubarak. The Egyptian people know this. He will have to flee just as Mubarak will flee. It's just a matter of time.

5. WELL -
Orao. ,   Srbia.   (02.09.11)
Arson are not Peacefull Democratic Demonstrations. This is Certainly the action of Millitant Radicals of some sort, who want to put the Country into Caos. Further - uleiman, a close confidant of Mubarak, also reiterated his view that Egypt is not ready for democracy. "The culture of democracy is still far away," he told state and independent newspaper editors in the roundtable discussion Tuesday. Comment - As above. Fyrther - "There must be an end to this crisis as soon as possible," he said, adding that the regime wants to resolve the crisis through dialogue. "We don't want to deal with Egyptian society with police tools," said the VP. Suleiman also warned of chaos if the situation continued, speaking of "the dark bats of the night emerging to terrorize the people." If dialogue is not successful, he said, the alternative is "that a coup happens, which would mean uncalculated and hasty steps, including lots of irrationalities." "I mean a coup of the regime against itself, or a military coup or an absence of the system. Some force, whether it's the army or police or the intelligence agency or the (opposition Muslim) Brotherhood or the youth themselves could carry out 'creative chaos' to end the regime and take power," he said. Comment - That is certainly going to happen if the Radicals continue their actions. The Regime can not accept that Egypt colapses into chaos. The Real Democrats should Quiqly leave the streats to the Radicals, because this upprising will be put down in blood if it continues. Orao.Srbia.
6. on #1, Harry
joel ,   usa   (02.10.11)
this sounds like a plan ahead to make life back to normal in egypt, the mention of "martial law" is not far away from the lips of Mr Suleiman, a strong military guy; besides, he knows that democracy is not what these protesters really want but " to take over power" as ambitioned by the Muslim Bprtherhood who are more than 40% of the protesters! the military had become impatient, too!
7. #1 Israel's democracy? bus discrimination?
