Police anywhere can get out of hand, but the accuser doesn't sound like such a great guy either. In fact, a little ass whipping was what he deserved.

it's a very thin line folks, as one of you mentioned, it only means it couldn't be proved, not that it didn't happen. Tough guys, huh? It's not like 'the policeman is your friend' that we were brought up on (at least where I grew up), some of the cops here are real thugs that you would definitely not want to approach if there's a real problem. how about some pr training for the Israeli police force

If that's what it takes to curb out the enormous vehicle theft plague by Palestinians, then screw his "human rights", these officers meted out the justice in the name of all Israeli citizens who are angry, sick and tired of being theft victims and paying high premiums for that.
Don't steal, don't blackmail, earn your living honestly - and no harm will come your way.
