We have the Shalits marching all over the country condemning the government saying they are not doing enough to get Gilad back. Politics isn't black and white time they learned that. Then we have Syria & Qutar giving Hamas $50 million pay offs not to give him back. I wonder what Gilad would think if he was told that Hamas was paid $50 million not to return him. Not many people who can say they are worth $50 million to terrorists.

It now seems that a truly honest leader maybe the rarest thing in the ME. Israel's leaders are no better really just less direct and smarter about it, while in Arab world it seem just a part of life there. While weapon sales still have high profit margins, second only to drugs.

Release Shalit anytime they want, but as I've maintained for years, he is worth much more in PR value. Now it seems he also is worth money, at least to Syria and Qatar. (They probably want to discredit Egypt, still angry that Sadat struck a peace agreement with Israel that has lasted over 30 years) Hamas couldn't ask for, or have planned a sweeter deal. Although I think, at least this last revelation, if true, falls into the category of unintended consequences. Hamas did not plan it this way, their simply not smart enough to have thought of it. But Shalit is worth cold hard cash (or weapons of equal value) as a bribe NOT to release him. Plus Hamas can get up to 450 (at least, although Hamas turned it down, maybe now we know why?) prisoner's released from Israeli jails for his release. What's called a Win/Win for Hamas. But bad news for Shalit. But remember if Hamas lets Shalit go the PR is over, where as now they can trot Shalit our 4-6/year and get lots of PR, plus the added benefit to vilify Israel. By simply blaming Israel for messing up the deal. But as usual, now we find the PALLYWOOD side of the story. Israel didn't blow the deal, Hamas took $50 Mil Cash and blamed Israel anyway, SWEET!!! For Hamas that is!
