34. Progress in Egypt equals pessimism in Israel RIGHT ???
M.S. ,   mpls america   (02.11.11)
I realize that Mubarack has probably done the RIGHT thing realizing the military was not about to protect him much longer from the mass numbers of protestors who want him to retire thus he did the honorable thing retired resigned allowing for the reforms the people want and so I realize that Israel has sought to have a peace treaty not with Egypt as a whole entity but only the small faction supported backed by the re actioniary American British colonialism system this was not right Mubarack realized this thus for the good of the Egyptian people he retired resigned hopefully to lead to a broader base system for the Egyptian people as a whole Israel should pay the Egyptian people reparations for all these years of cheating them to the benefit only of American backed re actioniary puppets right RIGHT and so we shall see what happens I still believe a Syria Israel war is needed to bring about a real Arab Jew relationship again not run by the re actioniary American British colonialism system that cheats attacks monetarily strangles me even more than any other Egyptian Arab people I am at the bottom but if I ever escape those who cheated traped me American British so on may pay dearly for it luckily they do not think my escape is possible they think the peace trap party time system is infalible and so they better be RIGHT because if they are wrong and so they may suffer a billion trillion times more than the Egyptian people have RIGHT ??? Thank You... M. S.
35. #14, Syrian wimp, how long do you think
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (02.11.11)
will Mr. Assad be in command of his Syrian sheikdom...???
36. important to recognize the accord as well as any breach
observer   (02.11.11)
The Camp David accord constitutes a first step toward a final, just and durable peace according to the provisions of Security Council Resolution 338 and within the framework of the Geneva Conference. Israel is in constant breaching of the UNSCR 338. What about negotiation with Palestinians and Syrians.
37. If you cant be well liked be well hated.
Matt   (02.12.11)
Even with the upgrade kits the M1A1 has weakness. Seen what a SPIKE will do to it.
38. GOOOOD NEWS

A day of glory and proud for our region. May all democratic forces arise. Let the people express their feelings. Mabruk Egypt....
39. Defend Israel
Remi ,   Holland   (02.11.11)
I am not jewish. But if Israel call me for help to join the IDF, I will not think twice. A big honor to defend Israel with my life. I believe that there are many goyim like me that have the same desire. Call us a mix of Ruth & Uria.
40. #33 SHHHHH .SILENCE

You're in a Library .

Marcella   (02.12.11)
Completely agree with you. The SCARIEST thing is that the lunatics are still running things in Israel. What did the government do as Mubarak was falling and the Peace Treaty with Egypt was dust? They were reassuring the Europeans that the process to give up Judea and Samaria was business as usual.
42. A disaster
Mike ,   UK   (02.12.11)
A complete disaster for the State of Israel. The politician for years have been drunk on relying on their military superiority. Not making peace to maintain the status quo has been a complete failure. The worse has yet to come. Now the Palestinian are in no hurry to make peace and will play the waiting game with disasterous consequences for Israel.
43. #14- Israelis you 've been warned
Khalid ,   The Netherlands   (02.12.11)
Well my dear Israeli friends, the saying goes like this "Your friend is the one who warns you rather than the the one who flatters you" So do not follow your impulsive instincts and attack #14 in your talk-backs, just think thorougly about the warning passed along. Perhaps, it will help open your eyes to the new realities and wake you up from your insolence and arrogance. It is not you who are strong as you claim, it is the Arabs who are weak for now at least, and this situation is starting to change. See how we are your friends trying to warn you, in contrast to your other friends (The Americans) who just let you live in your delusions
44. Experts
MB ,   Israel   (02.12.11)
Don't you just love all those experts, usually has beens whose opinions are worth nothing. They can say anything without consequences to themselves. I guess Mr Mazel thinks that Mubarak is immortal

you forgot about turkey. with the election of a more islamist government, and the stupid attack on the freedom flotilla, turkey has turned against israel. bye bye israel, might see you again in another 2000 years!!

Congratulations to the Egyptian people. You did this and this is about your greatness, not anyone or anything else.
48. Where are they pulling those diplonuts from?
Dave   (02.12.11)
Was Egypt superpower till now? Mubarak with 70 billion in the bank was superpower but not Egypt with most of the population lives on 2 bucks a day.
49. Reading this article made me realize
Sam ,   NJ   (02.12.11)
Ambassadors in Israel are not elected based on their education or understanding of world events but rather political connections. Sad.
50. 15 and 1
pini   (02.12.11)
Apparently you guys don't read history. Anyway rest assure if we mus we will nuke the entire middle east. :)
51. Egypt
Jon ,   USA   (02.12.11)
We can look to the Prophets and know what will eventualy happen. The Everlasting Kingdom of Messiah will be from the Temple in Jerusalem in the land of Isreal. If you want to know the future of Egypt read Ezekiel chapter 29 verses 9 through 16.
52. Israel concern
tdub ,   Portland, OR, USA   (02.12.11)
Boo hoo, cry us a river. Israel continues to stubbornly be on the wrong side of history, siding with kings, despots, dictators, as long as it suits their own expansionist desires. Something needs to bring them to the table, but their conservative leadership is utterly tone deaf.
53. this ultra-extremist was ambassador to egypt ?????????? my..
eporue ,   europe   (02.12.11)
54. #1
Jorge el judio ,   Israel/USA/Argentina   (02.12.11)
Irmao Carlos. Do not get too excited about given land. There is Gaza that was given in change of 20,000 misiles targeting Israel and Lebanon that has 40,000 misiles. In 63 years we want to be left alone. If they want peace they will have it in the main time we want to be ignored. Today the HC UNHR visited Iran to critized Israel only and did not find anything wrong in Iran. Bottom line we do not need that
55. The Egyptians will be shocked
James McGowan ,   omaha usa   (02.12.11)
The Egyptians will be shocked to learn they gained NOTHING. They will probably end up in the 7th Century like Iran... There are still many men like Gamal Nasser out there waiting for the helm..Good luck Egypt. Life in the ME goes on...oh well...
56. Mabruk Egypt!
Shlomi Shabbat   (02.12.11)
To Egypt: I hope you get true democracy but I fear that the army is still in control.
57. The nuke plants get hit now...
Baruch ,   Marin County, CA   (02.12.11)
This is prime time for a strike on the nuke plants, while a slew of Arab governments are in disarray. But after all, something tells me this could have been the plan after all given that military strategists earn respect by outwitting their opponent. Just sayin' is all...
58. Egypt
Gene Graczyk ,   Santa Rosa, CA USA   (02.12.11)
It is true that a new reality has emerged in the Middle East and it may not be entirely to Israel's wishes. However, that is for Israel to adjust to and, if necessary, make changes within its own government and political systems. Change is inevitable. Surely, Israel, "the shining beacon of democracy in the Middle East" as she has so often claimed recognizes the right of 80 million people to change their government from an oppressor to a guarantor of civil rights and an engine for lifting millions out of poverty. If it doesn't, it wil be eclipsed in the region by progressive, prosperous Arab states and its worldwide standing will be further diminished (if that is even possible).
59. Israel Must Make Peace
Gene Graczyk ,   Santa Rosa, CA USA   (02.12.11)
At this time, there is no indication the Egyptian military wishes to endanger American military aid by breaking the peace. On the other hand, the unstable situation in the Israeli government and IDF leadership gives me others pause. Israel has attacked other states before because of perceived threats, real or manufactured for domestic political purposes (as we have experienced several times in the US). I do not see war with Egypt starting in Cairo unless Israel provokes it.
