Good points. I have a feeling that there is a huge misconception about this revolutionasry moment in the Arab world. The lack of ideology from the Egyptian street was deafening. It is as if the last vestiges of colonialism is being rooted out of the body politic. The whole convoluted scheme of resource based Arabian nationalism was a tool used by Europeans to further their control and influence with dictatorial regimes that had little concern for the "streets" consent. These last 70 years have been fruitless ones for Arabs in general. They have been lied into confronting Israel at the loss of their personal rights and standard of living. Everything they know about Israel has been filtered by the regimes necessity to have a scapegoat to divert the population from venting their true anger against these same kleptocratic regimes. There is a whole younger generation in the Middle East and the world in general that is educated and highly connected to each other through internet based media that do not want the same old crap. They do not want to be Iran. They want what they know exists in pluralistic democracies; life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The internet has removed the veil from their eyes and the old ways will not work with them. I for one see this in a hopeful and refreshing way. We'll see.

Arab regimes & dictators over the decades are the natural, inevitable products of their own feudal culture. The wretched mess Arabs find themselves in on so many levels is of their own devising. Affairs may change for the better in the Arab World, but the youth will find that changing traditional Islamic patterns of mindset & behavior will be like pushing a boulder up a mountainside.

very simple basic test to be put forward to the "new" Egyptians: a) have you A N Y symphaties for UBL b) do you dislike UBL completely It is BLACK or WHITE...it is as simple as that...!!!
5. 2 what is wrong with you?

ok number 2, what part about TERRIOSM dont you understand? WTC flying planes, UK bus bombing, 200,000 dead in the above article, bombing, railways, etc terror in pakistan, and every place else you can think of. they like it when there is upheval in the world because that is when they come MB, etc, into power under the guise of helping, these retards. so wake up from the kool-ade drinking you are doing and see what is going on in the world. and kool-aid drinking term is meant for those who are too stupid to figure out when they are being lied to as made evident in the jonestown massare with rev jones doing the preaching about a utopian life. so quit it!! and to others, dont use this term unless you know what kool-aid means!!!
6. #4 Chris, they'd flunk that test, with flying colors.
