31. The Israeli Hypocryte: Crocodile's Tears (II)
Mihai-Robert Soran ,   EU   (02.13.11)
Yes, Mubarak, whose boss was assassinated by Islamist terrorists (but not Muslim Brothers...) went to Rabin's funeral, who was assassinated by a Judaist terrorist. In Egypt no politician was involved in eliminating Sadat. In Israel the brains that have led the Sicarii assassin's shooting fingers were two leading politicians: Benjamin Netanyahu and Ariel Sharon, They have instigated the extremists around Cahane and his alikes, they have portrayed Rabin as a Nazi exterminator of Israeli Jews ... And I can't oust a horrible suspicion: Eytan Haber, Rabin's "closest" aide lost less tears for Rabin than he does today for Mubarak ... A last thought: Israel was for 13 (thirteen) years in the hand of mildly Judaist, well-known mass-murderer, former terrorist Prime Ministers: Begin and Shamir. I don't know of any other state in the Middle East that has let confirmed mass-murderers become their Fuehrer...

33. Michael, Bahrain #26: I want an honest answer from you.

"Bahraini Shura Council Member Samira Rajab said 9/11 Was Fabricated To Create a New Ghost to Replace the Ghost of Communism" Al-Arabiya TV (Dubai/Saudi Arabia) - October 22, 2010 - 03:20 http://www.memritv.org/clip/en/0/0/0/0/0/0/2692.htm Michael, Bahraini military officers have been discovered to have ties to Al Qaeda. Is Osama bin Laden / Al Qaeda / Taliban despotic in your opinion? Or are they freedom-loving peoples like we see in Bahrain? Are Iran's Mullahs despotic. Is there freedom of conscience, freedom of speech, the right to assemble and worship freely in Iran? President Obama thinks so since he took the side of Iran's Mullahs against the Green Revolution, 2009-2010. What do you think? Is Obama on the side of freedom, tolerance, human rights, human dignity, women's dignity, etc.? I will anxiously await your reply.

I don't really understand your point. You agree with me that Hamas (the only Muslim brotherhood government) don't do what the author says the Muslim brotherhood would do in power. Then you ask me to explain myself? Why? You agree with me. Separately you list lots of bad things that Hamas does do, none of which I would either defend or deny (hence the phrase "many, many faults" - I wasn't talking about poor tax policies). Then you end up with that weird line that there is no difference between Hamas, Al Qaida, Hezbollah, Muslim Brotherhood and "any other corrupt terrorist organisation" (FARC, IRA, Tamil Tigers - not sure I know what you mean. Not sure you know what you mean). It's that lack of sophistication, intellect and ability to analyse complex situations others than through a very simplistic prism that makes for bad policy and no peace.

Wrong. Israel is apprehensive about her border with Egypt, about SECURITY. Yes, right, Mubarak is right here, at the end of my street, in a 10 star hotel, living it up with all the free booze we are giving him. He has taken the entire top floor of 150 suites for all his buddies.( Gamal & his wife are with him aswell) Eat your heart out.

Who ar you trying to kid with your stupid words? "Hamas for all their many faults, dont go in for that type of thing" Hamas is a terrorist organization who kills, mames, terrorizes for the sake of their cause. How dumb can you be?

42. #24, #25 love you guys
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (02.13.11)
Mubarak was a military commander and bitter foe of Israel. He was smart enough to realize that you could not defeat us that easily so what did he do? He made Egypt an ally of the US, so it would abandon Israel. He did his best to get the world to force Israel to surrender her strategic weapons. He gave Arafat weapons to murder our children during the "peace" talks. He encouraged hatred of Israel in Egypt and prevented normalization. And just when he almost succeeded, you guys drove him out like a dog and called him a Zionist. You've got to love the comedy.
43. Oh spare us your crocodile tears!
GUH   (02.14.11)
So Egypt has spent thirty years under this megalomaniacal autocrat, they have been robbed blind by a man now deemed among the most wealthy on the planet, they have spent weeks on the streets demanding rights you take for granted, sacrificing their lives, liberties, and dignity in order to bring about an unlikely change... And your tears are for Mubarak?!!! LOL.

Why was Begin a putz? -Due to the fact he built Irgun? -You grudge against him due to Sinai, what other "crimes" has this leader done?
45. If Mubarak was so bad, why is Abbas good?
Ilan ,   Ariel   (02.14.11)
Abbas has modeled himself after Mubarak in the most negative terms. He spends a great deal of effort in enriching his son, siphoning of money for himself, using the regime to protect himself from criticism. In short exactly the same prototype tyrant as Mubarak. The difference being that Mubarak honored agreements and was not interested in conflict. If Mubarak is bad, then please take Abbas with you.

Hard Jew ,   US   (02.14.11)
I am one of those "Jews and other zionists," you are ranting about. What other "Jews" are there? I know who and what you are and what motivates you. Its called envy which stems from failure due to sloth, cowardice and greed. I too cry for Mubarak, a decent man who served and built up his country with honor and devotion for 30 years. His mistake of historical proportions was not developing a successor government during the first of his 25 year rule. Had he done so, he could have retired with honor and grace 5 years ago, knowing his country was in good hands. Perhaps he learned it was not possible yet, and so hung in hoping the opportunity would soon occur. Nobody expected him to last to 82 and still govern, Everyone, including himself, knew he couldn't possibly govern much longer. His so called friends in the west abandoned and raided him like Nana's neighbors did as she lay dying (Emile Zola's novel). Well, what are friends and neighbors for? All they had to do was remain mum to preserve their honor and the honor of their countries. They would have at least been qualified be his pall bearers. Now, however, they will not even receive that dignity--deservedly so. These street riots in Egypt were not spontaneous. They were planned, organized, financed and managed. You will soon be hearing ad reading about it. Just as we did about the so called spontaneous Iranian revolt against the Shah. Soon Iran will successfully test an A bomb, and perhaps also an H-bamb. A few years later you will watch the entire Mid-east become obliterated in the space of 2 hours. and this would be without the introduction of Pakistan's bombs which are being reserved for India.
47. "Mikesailor" & co. conveniently ignore Haber's major points
Tahl   (02.14.11)
For which they have no real rebuttal. 1. European leaders are terrified of a similar Islamic revolution taking place in their own countries. Already Islam has stamped its strong mark on most of Western Europe. 2. Although Mubarak's regime was corrupt and not enlightened, it was still a hell of a lot better than having a terror-supporting radical Islamist state like Iran. 3. Once the Muslim Brotherhood would take over Egypt's leadership, all the nice words like "freedom", "democracy" and "rights" would vanish like dust in the wind. "Mikesailor", "berlonski", and the rest of the regular trolls here, are the quintessential example of the hypocrites Haber describes.

of "peace" treaties and accords you are PERSONALLY responsible for as PM Rabin adviser and bureau chief. Dear Mr. Haber, let me give you an advise. Let this article be Finale in your corrupt "peace" activity. We won't cry for you.
51. To: No. 15
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.14.11)
And when the Saudi regime and the Persian Gulf states collapse and you find yourself paying $11 for a gallon of gas, will that be the fault of Israel, too? Here's a news flash: we don't like or trust our neighbors, either. They cannot defeat Israel militarily; that's the only thing that has stopped them from trying a seventh time.
52. To: No. 27
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.14.11)
I'm sorry, but can you point to the nation of Palestine on a map? Oh, that's right! You cannot, because no such nation ever existed. Mandatory Palestine was nonsovereign territory. The Jews accepted partition; the Arabs did not, and chose to go to war instead. They lost. They lost five more times, too. And then there's the bit about seven decades of unrelenting Arab terrorism. Finally, you are wrong about Islamism in Europe. It's a huge and a growing problem, and you do not have to look further than Sweden, Norway and England to figure that out.
53. Mubarak
Peace Lover ,   UK   (02.15.11)
Yes you will be proven wrong. One of the best result yet for the Egyptian uprising , that it shaw the true size of the muslim brotherhood which is so small and how they fail to lead or take advantage of the situation. Israel should stop relying on corrupt dictators to have peace with. the cold peace with Egypt was no better than short acting medicine . So stop this illusion that Mubarak was good for Israel because it is simply a myth.
54. oh Haber.... the cinicism....
Israeli, Jerusalem   (02.15.11)
Yes there is a danger that extremists will take the power of Egypt, but I for one, truelly rejoiced with the Egyptians for the prospect of a change, a better regime, a democratic regime maybe, a better life for them, with human rights, freedom etc. We should strengthen the Egyptians who want all of this and not be so cynical and pessimist.

Bedouin ,   Sinai   (02.20.11)
Fad, apparently you're one of those who have stockholm syndrome...how could you say that people don't know what they want and they dont understand poilitics and democracy.actually this is the same tone your Suleiman used plus alleged "broad agendas" he cliamed...you think people like you do count? excuse me to puke! the truth is, Obama didn't force the tyrant Mubarak to step his ass down but we did, real Egyptians! Sulieman and Mubarak are 2 faces for the same coin. for your info, this revolution has emerged to cleanse the country, starting from key officials to worthless like you who believes that their duty is to give aid to kill innocent Plaestinians!
