All countries Israel & US included put their own best interests above everybody elses. In a democracy that is how it should be because people ellect their governments to put their best interests first not worry about others. Mubarak was good for Israel we had thirty years worth of proof of that so why would Israel want to rock the boat and have him toppled and replaced by an unknown entity for the sake of democracy in Egypt? The US also liked regimes like Mubaraks which is why the US government throws billions of dollars every year to keep these guys in power. There are lots of dictatorships around The world many of which have much poorer human rights record than Mubaraks which the US gives money to every year to buy influence. If half these countries the US tops up became democracies the US would loose a lot of political interests there because you can't buy influence in a democracy as easy as you can in a dictatorship. We all support democracy in theory but at the end of the day when it comes to real dirty global politics in most cases ideals come second to pushing our own national interests.

If you want to see who the whole world is disgusted with just look in the mirror. Your country, Iran is responsible for almost every innocent life that was lost since 1979. Why do some people think that Israel has to take into account other people's problems before they think of own survival? Even when Israel is not in the ME (God forbid) some people will still refer to it as having caused the problems.
