First, I highly doubt that boycotting an Israeli athlete is the "wishes and aspirations of their people". Surely the Qatari and Dubaian people cannot be all this hateful. Second, even if this is indeed their sick-minded wish, the Qataris and Dubaians know full well that barring a star athlete from participating in a tournament, only because of this athlete's nationality, would earn them a pariah status by the West, and entail the total annullment of all future tournaments in these countries, let alone the Olympics! So, between the choices of: 1. supporting the Palestinians by cynically mixing sports and politics and boycotting an Israeli athlete, and 2. Keeping an eye shut on politics, while enjoying Western prestige and money - which do you think they would choose? Is there even a dilemma here? LOL! Face it, when real money's at stake, this is how important you Palestinians are for the Arab world. They'll give you a few empty declarations, and then get back to their business. Get used to it.
