The problem will be for Israel that whilst the world is condemning Iran right now and imposing sanctions to try stop them developing nukes. If there is regime Change in Iran even if the nuclear program continues the west will probably say end the sanctions and support the elected moderate. That means turn on Israel. Revolutions are fine when they are not all happening at once thats when things start going wrong. The west should also not be giving their unconditional support to revolutionaries because then they start turning a blind eye to the problem policies because they want to be seen as supporting democracy.

Iran and Israel are both suffering from the growth in religious power. There is great similarity between ayatollas' and rabbis' agendas. This bestows a grim picture on both countries, but (luckily?!) not as bad as the nuclear threat. Israeli democracy is a great advantage since the system has a built in process and procedures for change in leadership. Actually, Iran is surprising in this respect among the Muslim countries since the elections there are reasonably honest and there is an active opposition.
