2. Amazing! There is hope after all!
(02.19.11)
Now I'd like to see the same message in Egypt, Lybia, Syria, Teheran, Beirut!
3. #1 "Over here", exactly where is that ?
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (02.19.11)
I have yet to hear a Rabbi call for Jihad, that's a Muslim call to violence
4. BEN JABO
Ricardo Macher ,   karne Shomron IL   (02.19.11)

6. The first encouraging public sign in years
Shalom Freedman ,   Jerusalem Israel   (02.19.11)
When is the last time one remembers a community of Arabs actually protesting for respect for and tolerance of Jews? Kol Ha- Kvod to the protestors who did this in Tunisia. This is the first real sign I have seen in a long time that perhaps decency and true peace will win out in this area.
7. The reason so much care has to be taken is:
noa ,   israel   (02.19.11)
there is danger of civil wars in these countries, which can result in the death of thousands, sometimes millions, as we have already seen in Africa.
8. #4; Ricardo, Show us the source and quote
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (02.19.11)
Otherwise it's just more BS. The main difference of course is in Israel, what some may call radical Jewish people make up somewhere between 5%-7% of the Jewish population. While the Arabs, in the disputed lands make up well over 70% of the population. For instance 73% thought the pizzeria bombing of the Jewish teenage hangout approved of it. So they thought killing 12-18 year old kids, in an unprovoked ambush was just fine. As you put it: "is that enough".
9. to mark
einat   (02.20.11)
I agree with u. a smart response!!
10. hey Mark stop your lies
james ,   canada   (02.20.11)
don't try to bamboozle us with your pizza joints. I don't think that most Israelis ever lost sleep over the massacres of Palestinians perpetrated by Irgun and Haganah back in the days and I am not only talking about Deir Yassin. In fact many of those terrorists became heads of states like Ben Gurion, Begin, Dayan, Shamir, Rabin, Sharon etc...Nope neither did many Israelis lost any sleep over the Sabra and Shatila ''incident''. Nor did many Israelis loose any sleep over the subsequent dozens of massacres against Palestinians in Jenin for instance or the countless other genocides commited by Tsahal. Many Israelis considered Mister Goldstein to be a hero after he gunned downed dozens of innocent civilians while they were praying in a Mosque in Hebron! Let us examine just how lethal Hamas has been in comparison whether through it's operations or it's ''rocket attacks''. I am not even mentionning the fact that millions Palestinians have been spoliated by Zionist settlers and forced to live in refugee camps all around occupied Palestine and in neighboring Arab countries. Stop trying to make it look as if Palestinians hate Jews for the sake of hating when we know how well they treated Jews until they realized that the latter were building a state on their land!
11. to Mark: as you say, ''Is that enough?''
james ,   canada   (02.20.11)
12. I have a lot of respect for Tunisians today
William ,   Israel   (02.20.11)
I never knew there was this level of tolerance among them. I am heartened that there is hope in the world when Muslims actually demand equality for all and denounce Islamists among them. In the West, those who remain quiet or approve of terrorism without taking part in it are called "moderate Muslims" by supportive Leftists. However, when Westerners demand Muslims stand up against terrorism and plot a path for their "religion of peace" to combat the filth coming from the likes of Hamas and Al-Qaeda, the protests in Tunisia is what they mean. Tunisians have done more for Islam and global peace today than the UN and Arabs States have done for decades. Kol haKavod!
13. #4 Ricardo
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (02.20.11)

ghostq   (02.20.11)
they didn't make any laws against racism, most of them just protest but will not try to give equal rights to chritians or jews, will they be permited be active in the new parliament, the answer is no, they just blow steam but as far of thinking of the time a head well they got no plan nor wish to folow what they preach.
16. Don't get so excited.
Salma ,   Palestine   (02.20.11)
Gamal Abdel Nasser, Yasser Arafat, were secular, seculars in Tunisia are not less patriotic than them. By the way and FYI, the leaders of the Zionist movement prefer the Islamists to seculars!!!
17. Bravo Tunisia !!!!!
aline silverman ,   israel   (02.20.11)
18. #16 Salma, that's an interesting comment
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (02.20.11)
"FYI, the leaders of the Zionist movement prefer the Islamists to seculars!!! "" Just where did you obtain that tidy little bit of information from, Reputable poll or consensus, or did you just pulled that one out of your hat ? Please be specific, it sounds just like more of your hot air
19. Don't get ahead of yourself, Salma.
Omri ,   Bastoun   (02.22.11)
If your idea of "patriot" is to be anti-Jewish, you've let your mask slip
