1. Mr. Mayor
Daniel Freedman ,   Jerusalem Israel   (02.23.11)
Well, I am happy for Chicago and I am happy for Emu, it should be a nice fit after all Chicago is use to gangsters and Emu is nothing short of a criminal. Chicago you deserve the best and you got him. Good Fleecing to you. Good riddence from Israel, glad you have him now, just remember; No deposit, No return"
2. How did that happen?
Mark ,   SF   (02.23.11)
Now I wonder..how in the world did that happen? Is because of all of the good service Rahmbo did advising Obama, that he got rewarded with the position? Something is very crooked in Chicago politics and stinks, big time.
3. good riddance for Israel
Arik A ,   Jerusalem Judea   (02.23.11)
At least he will too busy to destroy Chicago! That way he won't be able anymore to advise his Master Obama how to destroy Israel and divide Jerusalem. That sly, dishonest and fake religious Jew did his best to plot to undermine Israel when he was working at his Master feet. G-d will not forget all the bad he did to Israel,
4. this ought to be interesting....
a former Chicagoan ,   Jerusalem   (02.23.11)
First of all Mazal Tov Mr. Mayor. Secondly, please do go have a good long look at Chicago's mayoral history. May I suggest that you pay special attention to the term of the late Mayor Mr. Harold Washington, the city's first and only (so far) African American Mayor. I will recall that there was much rejoicing when he won the election particularly in the African American Community of Chicago and then as his term progressed, much disillusionment. Take care Mr. Mayor Elect Emanuel that your term in office doesn't work out the same way. and so Sir, best of luck to you!
5. Election fraud is far easier with computers
lydia ,   Brisbane   (02.23.11)
Election fraud is endemic and Is still a factor in US, Chicago is no exception. Bush exceeded 85^ of the registered Florida Republican voters and in Ohio the numbers of recorded voters were greater than those registered
6. Shame!!!!
Ricardo Macher ,   Karnei Shomron IL   (02.23.11)
I do feel ashamed that he is considered and politically used as a Jew. He is openly anti-Israel, he cannot care less about Judaism and is a very bad example for our children. Jews in politics has always meant trouble for Israel and the Jewish people, they care about not being considered pro Jews or pro Israel, so they excel in their positions against us!
7. the gangsters retro came back only this time it will
ghostq   (02.23.11)
be social gang, how much the liberals took over the key institutes it will become money circus, the 4 major corporations in the USA r by the hands of democrats, which means to let the cat guard the cream, taxes collecting won't be divided equaly.
8. To: No. 5
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (02.23.11)
Mind telling us what the Chicago mayoral election has to do with Florida and Ohio? Idiot! Stay out of things you just do not understand. Or are you now rooting for the Republicans? Has it occurred to you that every now and then, Democrats cross the aisle and vote Republican and Republicans cross the aisle and vote Democrat?
9. Honest to God: I wish he was Polish instead!!
tom ,   tel aviv   (02.23.11)
10. Quoting Emanuel: "I've had it with the Israelis."
Chaim   (02.23.11)
Rahm Emanuel is a typical self-hating Jewish radical Left anti-Semite. Good luck to the Jews living in Chicago under this new mayor.
11. Rahm
Jorgeel judio ,   Israel/USA/Argentina   (02.23.11)
Congratulation Emanuel. As Chicago residente I am happy he is a Mayor. Most of you do not understand the situation here. There were 6 candidates and 5 of them did not produce the expectation to the votes. Checking the ellections, 2 hispanic were bellow him and 3 afro-american run the last ones. Chicago is a very special city that need a strong leadership and also is the most populated city in Illinois. Please separate him from his former role as adviser of the White House. He will be able to continue the work of the retiring Mayor Daley. For you information Chicago has a lot of benefit for its residents that the suburbs do not. Please come and visit us
12. a disgrace!
oz   (02.23.11)
just shows how low america has decendant into oblivion , whe na corrupt to the core, unconvicted criminal(blagoyovich affair), get a "prize"-- the mayorship of the MOST corrupted city in the usa. might as well elected him to be the head of the 5 families. tfu on him !
13. #2 Mark, SF. How did that happen?
Moragh   (02.23.11)
to answer your question "How in the world did that happen?". Here's my answer: money, money, money, aint so funny in a rich mans world!
14. I think it was fair for Rahm Emanuel to be on the ballot.
Rivkah   (02.23.11)
There was a great effort to prevent that. But what bothers me about him is that his physician brother authored the Obamacare unconstitutional healthcare enslavement bill that needs to be thrown out in its entirety before America becomes a communist slave state. The Obamacare legislation even requires US citizens to be injected with an RFID microchip which are known to cause cancer from the iridium in the glass chip. What insanity. But Rahm pushed the legislation through and that worries me. Is he going to push backscatter X-ray devices like are at airports that emit 400 times the radiation in one passby as an X-ray which is equivalent to a CT scan...is Rahm going to push the installation of such sterilizing cancer causing teratogenic causing devices in public schools, shopping centers, bus stations, and train stations in Chicago like he did at airports along with his pals Obama and Janet Napolitano?
15. 5 Lydia, Brisbane: Evangelist Hal Lindsey said the mafia
Rivkah   (02.23.11)
owns the US Presidential voting machines. Even US President Harry Truman was a mafia associate early in his life which is how he got elected to the US Senate. Senator John McCain's father-in-law was well known as a mafioso associate in Phoenix, Arizona. The prevailing mafia don in Phoenix at the time gave Mrs. McCain's father the money to buy a brewery in Phoenix. There is a lot of corruption at all levels of government in all countries and that reflects the people. If the people would stop sinning and repent and turn back to YHWH, He would send better leaders.
16. to all talkbacks
Jorge el judio ,   Israel/USA/Argentina   (02.23.11)
Does any body know the other candidates? Please, take a look
17. Another Liberal jerkoff, bent on bankrupting another
Steven Wilson ,   Anchorage, Alaska   (02.23.11)
city. When are we going to get someone who isn't in bed with Barack Obama. There's always hope.....maybe......could be......oh....forget it.
18. Chicago politics
Laura ,   Chicago, IL   (02.23.11)
Chicago politics are so corrupt already, that honestly I don't think he could be any worse than Daley. Also, Chicago residents are just so excited to get out of the hands of Daley regime. If you look at the election votes,it wasn't even close. Not even by a mile. We know what we want and we wanted Rahm. Get over it. Trust me, his job will NOT be easy. Chicago is in such ruins that his first job will be picking up the pieces. There is no where to go from here but UP! Also, to the idiot that said good luck to Jews living under our new Mayor. He is a Mayor not a dictator! Geez. Ps. Rahm, if you could fix bus tracker that would be fabulous!
19. Who on earth voted for him?!
Tuvia ,   Israel   (02.23.11)
