1. Dear unhinges Gaddafi,
Salma ,   Palestine   (02.24.11)
Stop the violence, Join the protesters to overthrow yourself and save Libya.
2. Obama and Clinton are natural lovers.
Israeli 2   (02.24.11)
Just look at them.
3. I think Gaddafi has a straighter mouth
Israeli 2   (02.24.11)
than Obama. Obama's mouth is twisted. Just look at them.
4. If NATO Attacks
superhero ,   Johannesburg RSA   (02.24.11)
If NATO Attacks it will be accused of occupation and grabbing oil. Rather attack Iran now and give Lybia a couple of months while you debate a meaningless set of sanction resolutions like was done to Iran
5. Must we give Lybia to al quaeda ???
trumpeldor   (02.24.11)
Granted, khadafi is a mass murderer but he was neutralized by US reactions in the 80's Helping the insurgents of Benghazi might turn that region into a safe haven for jihadists ! Unfortunately,I am sure that former royalists are a minority within the insurgents....
6. to Nr.1 Nr.3 Nr, 2
James   (02.24.11)
7. dictatorships/terrorstates.
cosmopolitst ,   planet earth   (02.24.11)
it is not the intention that nato should attack libya without a permission/mandate of the united nations. if libya is attacked then the other terror-regimes also can be attacked, equal cases, equal treatments, no exceptions. otherwise it is one-sided, biased, unilateral, partial, subjective, hypocrite, non-credibale, symbole-policy, symptome-fighting. not any people in this world deserves to live under a dictatorship/occupation. this is a violation of human rights. human rights are universal, worldwide/everywhere and always and are not negotiable. they are for everybody, every group, every people, for the entire mankind. the consequences can be that one half of the world boycotts, sanctions, embargos, intervenes militarily in the other half of the world, hopenly that the populations/peoples in the dictatorships will be able to liberate themselves of those dictatorships and that they are supported by the rest of the world for their fight for freedom and democracy and not only thinking of their own interests. of course this means a change of civilization, culture and mentality in every country will it all have a chance of success eventually.
8. Al Quaeda
Ellen ,   NETANYA   (02.24.11)
LIbya and Egypt are going to end up going to Al Quaeda or another equally as fanatical Moslim group. ( Moslim brotherhood) Despite the West's all of a sudden love affair with these terrorists groups and these groups talking democracy, equality etc. etc. is is all a facade. Once in power you know what will happen. Remember Carter and the Shah--remember how he too was replaced by Democracy!
9. Gaddafi
barbara ,   Haifa Israel   (02.24.11)
quote: One official was quoted as saying, "When you have a guy who's as irrational as Gaddafi with some serious weapons at his disposal, it's always a concern. But we haven't yet seen him move to use any kind of mustard gas or chemical weapon" during the unrest. unquote What - you need for there to be an incident first of chemicals ? That's like waiting for Iran to push THE BUTTON before being angry at Iran !
10. Leave the USA out of it...................
Sheik Rattle & Roll ,   USA   (02.24.11)
Why should the US get involved? Why do we have to be the world's policeman. We need to take care of our own people and reduce our deficit. Every Tomahawk cruise missile cost 1 million dollars. When the world say's NATO it means the USA because every other European country has very limited military capability.
11. Decisive Action by Nato is Imperative. Innocents
Douglas Fireman ,   Chicago, Illinois   (02.24.11)
NATO should attack Lybia and the sooner the better. Hundreds, if not thousands, of innocent people are being massacred by Ghadaffi and his henchmen. Ghadaffi will stop at nothing. The World is watching, but doing very little to support the oppressed people of Lybia. Sanctions will not work. Thousands more will die if NATO does not intervene. Ghadaffi is a demented killer of his own people. A NATO military presence must intervene before more innocents are killed. The remote possibility of bombing Ghadaffi's compound should even ber considered. The time has come for swift and decisive action.
12. #2, Israeli...Yes they are...thank You for
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (02.24.11)
enlightning me...lol
13. One raghead will never EVER attack an-
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (02.24.11)
other raghead...trust me...lol
14. NATO will do nothing
Marcel ,   Florida   (02.24.11)
It is impotent and the best it can accomplish is a 1 Ring Circus, maybe 2. They have done nothing with Iran because they are too afraid to stop the Iranian warships under U.N sanctions of stopping and searching suspected ships. NATO like the West and Obama can only blow smoke because they know if the U.N. sanctions of last July are enforced and an Iranian ship is stopped World War III begins.
15. to 4*
James ,   USA   (02.24.11)
atack iran ? ha ha , iranian regime is much smarter and more clever than all arab dictators in the world . In iran died 76 people while a 3 month protest in 2009 in egypt 250 people in 2weeks and lybia much much more.
16. Self Defense
superhero ,   Johannesburg RSA   (02.24.11)
Gaddaffi's actions have been completely in self-defense. The "peacefule protestors" started this whole affair by throwing rocks, overturning cars and burning buildings - riotis acts of thuggery. At no time were the rioters peacefule!!
17. Libiya
G ,   New Jersey, USA   (02.24.11)
NATO, or USA should take over oil fields till country stabilizes itself. Oil is lifeblood of the world and should not be left in the hands of people who use it as a weapon.
18. attack
colin   (02.24.11)
LIES-UNTRUTHS AND FALSEHOODS Nato has no intention to attack anybody The big words are for the idiotic western countries that think talk will overcome action. The arab world is tired of the weak US and Europe. The arabs have learnt hat money is more important than lives to the ability of the modern western world. . The islamic revolution has now started to show its power. Why has NATO not blamed Israel Yet?? Israel did not wipe out the arabs because the western world felt sorry. NOW FEEL MORE SORRY The islamic arab nations will show the childish western world what to do with oil money IT BUYS ALL THE POWER NEEDED TO TELL NATO TO GO TO HELL.
19. But shooting Iranian protestors ,no action ?
Roland Seener ,   London England   (02.24.11)

21. 10 years of NATO attacks in Afghanistan... and Taliban
RJBH ,   Methil   (02.24.11)
Still intact.. and now NATO seeks to talk with them....lol... Gadaffi has nothing to worry about... unless of course he values the lives of his children.
22. immediately to be hung
bernardo ,   munich   (02.24.11)
This utmost sick and bizarr crock must be hung, now. Has ordered and sold solders from Black Africa in order to kill the own people. The same breed as the Nazis: if I will fall, the whole country schould go in to the abyss. Obama is very late with his insight and public adress. And the EU's Lady Ashton you can complete forget her. She is just another example how incompetenty in the EU works. Shmae on them!
23. #8, Ellen, You are right, but this is just
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (02.24.11)
the way Hussein Obama would like the whole story to come out, he is himself a Muzzie...
24. #9, barbara, Hussein Obama is intent on
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (02.24.11)
waiting just for that...Iran PUSHING THE BUTTON...!!!
25. Not as long as Erdogan calls the shots in NATO
Steve from Raleigh   (02.24.11)
It will never happen. The EU and NATO should stick to refugee assistance.
26. that would be a hue mistake and there is a better solution
zionist forever   (02.24.11)
1) The Arab League which Libya is a member of and the African Union which is Africa's version of the Arab League will call for Gaddafi to stop the violence. 2) If he refuses then the Arab League will call on Egypt to operate a no fly zone which will stop the bombing which is the main threat to the civilian population. we give Egypt the F16s so let the use them for peacekeeping. 3) The Arab League & African Union call for a forgive and forget policy and form a tribal unity government that inicludes Gaddafis tribe. If a tribal government can be formed it can allow Gaddafi to fall without a civil war breaking out. 4) The unity government will request a coalition of troops from the Arab League to form a military to enforce the law until a new military loyal to the unity government can be formed. When a military is formed the foreign troops will pull out so it doesn't become an occupation army. 5) The west will not push for democracy in Libya if the tribal government is stable they will leave them to run the country according to tribal culture and if that develops into democracy thats a matter for the Libyans. If NATO, the UN or any other western force send in troops or even start pushing for a political solution is will backfire. Gaddafi will say its the colonialists trying to take over Libya. The west should just take a back seat role and let the arabs and africans be the public face of reform and protecting the public.
27. HATIKVAH
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (02.24.11)
II hope to live long enough to see a picture where BOTH the Emperor of the World OBAMA and Hillary are shown with their mouth's shut
28. #16 Ever hear of Lockerbie ?
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (02.24.11)
Two hundred seventy innocent people killed because a madman wished it to be done Violence begets violence !!! I most humbly suggest that you volunteer to defend Kadaffy in person
29. Spot the difference
MAtt   (02.24.11)
The violence against innocent people in Libya pales in comparison to the onslaught by Israel against Gaza residents in 2009 yet in that case the US was more concerned with making sure Israel had enough weapons to keep up the slaughter. Why the double-standards?
30. @20 dAVID
Sheik Rattle & Roll ,   USA   (02.24.11)
David we can adjust to a reduction of oil prices. If other countries citizens can pay 8 dollars a gallon for gas and drive toy cars like the Mazda 3 so can we. I would be more than willing to give up my SRT8 Super Bee and wife's SUV if we can avoid the hazards of another middle east conflict that already cost us up to a trillion dollars we can't afford or had to borrow from the chicoms.
