Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (02.28.11)
"The United States strongly condemns the Iranian government's organized intimidation campaign and arrests of political figures, human rights defenders, political activists, student leaders, journalists and bloggers," the White House said in a statement. Is this the same White House that called for the execution of journalist Julian Assange for telling the truth?

split ,   US   (02.28.11)
No kidding - What does it make us, a weapons supplier, a sole and unconditional supporter of little bully, an occupier considering it's treatment of Palestinians if not hypocrites. At least the Iranian regime does not pretend to be the shining star of democratic world.

9. Opposition Leader Arrested
John   (02.28.11)
It appears that the most important Iranian opposition leaders have been arrested and sent to jail in Iran according to Debka. If they are harmed, many opposition supporters might take to the streets again and fight (revolt).
10. #8 #9
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (02.28.11)
November 30, 2010 Secretary of State Clinton accused the journalist of "puts people’s lives in danger, threatens our national security’" December 19, 2010: VP Biden ensured that the administration is trying to prosecute the journalist Assange for terrorism. In the United States, terrorists are executed. Clinton and Biden are second and third in the administration. Obama could have clarified that the White House supports freedom of the press and would not seek to persecute Assange or demand rendition from Sweden Obama refused to do so. No one believes that the Swedes re-opened the already closed rape investigations because they really want to try him. and #9: I doubt it will happen. After the previous round of demonstrations (when Obama supported Ahmadinejad) they raped and killed most of the leaders. I expect Iranians will get rid of Ahmadinejad only when Obama is safely out of the White House.
11. USA has zero crediblity
IRAN#1   (02.28.11)
In condemning Iran. If they come out and condemn Israel for daily killing of "opposition forces", e.g. the Palestinians, then we can take them seriously.
12. Ahmadinejad's government is weak
Chris   (02.28.11)
Ahmadinejad's government must be very weak if he has to forcibly remove any opposition.. He is scared because he knows the people want change.
13. us accuses iran......
cosmopolitist ,   planet earth   (03.01.11)
blatant, flagrant violations of human rights donot only occur in iran. today there are more than 70 dictatorships in this world. not any people deserves to live under a dictatorship/(foreign) occupation. dictatorship is first violation of human rights, secondly an insult/shame/crime against humanity/mankind. i saw the pictures on tv of people who are asking the right of freedom of speech and expression, democracy etc. in china, iran, lybia. etc. how they were arrested, beaten up, shot down or worse. it was almost if i were there. i became very upset/sick of it, very angry and i felt powerless. it was very horrible and terrible to see it happen. how can people do this to eachother? the us-authorities unfortunately have worked together/supported/works together/support many dictatorships. they have no right to condemn/to judge other peoples/countries. first they have to learn from their mistakes and then we talk again. freedom and democracy is for every country/people as a decent and prosperous life for everybody on this planet.
