31. They stabbed him in the back
Proud Miluimnik ,   Israel   (03.01.11)
I did my time- Golani and over a decade of reserves so far. I don't know what I would do if that happened to me, but probably the same.
32. it s a real injustice
Hosam ,   palestine   (03.01.11)
oh its a very sympathic and Pathetic story ,this gentle man is furios because of the demolition of his illegal house which was built on a stolen land , what about thousands of not only houses but innocent lifes that went with the wind as a result of the Constant a gression against others ,whose only sin is defending the rest of their home land... it is a real injustice
33. It's unbelievable the amount of hate
David ,   On this planet   (03.01.11)
In here and all over Israel. Shame on all of you.
34. American British agents talkbacks
John cone ,   USA   (03.01.11)
Must be a bunch of american and uk goverment contractors working overtime on these talkbacks check the ip addresees of these individuals. Just another way the ameican and the uk is manipulating Israeli foreign policy. More psy ops.
35. Damn Haredim Don't Serve in the Army!!
El-Nakam ,   TA, Israel   (03.01.11)
Oops, apparently some do.
36. serving in the army gives you immunity?
hanni ,   tel aviv, israel   (03.01.11)
does the fact whether a law is applied or not depend on whether i serve in the army or not? is that the conception of a state of law that many here seem to have adopted? question to the soldier: if the family of another soldier did something unlawful to your family, should they be exempted from punishment only because they're a soldier's family?
37. #5 Where are you from?
nr ,   los angeles, usa   (03.01.11)
In my country, which is the United States, the police don't determine who owns land. The county and city officials do. You are seriously lying.
38. Weisman's Picture , is it before or after the clashes?!?!
Salma ,   Palestine   (03.01.11)
I can't blame this guy,but blame those who live in Tel Aviv and in the West capitals , who persuaded this poor man that this land belongs to him....... those before the others should apologize to Weisman and find him a new home in another place without stealing it.
39. Ex-IDF
Galil resident   (03.01.11)
I served in the reserves for 16 years. If i build illegally I would hope that the government would enforce the law and knock down my house. Being in the army doesn't give you the right to build illegally.
40. to Bama 13 and all like him. The house was not build in ..
ari ,   Romania-Israel   (03.01.11)
Solen land it was build in disputed land, which is not the same. Besides the reason this is Disputed land is because it was taken in a War povoked and uncalled by Jordan. Jordan renounce to it's rights and endorsement on the so called Palestinians" which until now were Jordans. Things don't go that way. You cannot endorse a land as if it was a chech, with people and all lieaving the people with no nationality. Jordan cannot was it's hands on these. In 1948 Jordans King did not want another Arab State, he wanted the West Bank and East Jerusalem as part of Jordan and he anexed it. Pakistan and BRITAIN, recognized this anexation. So this land is not sotolen land.
41. documentary: Louis Theroux meets the ultra zionists
Daniel Baruch ,   UK   (03.01.11)
For those of you who wish to find out more on Havat Gilad, I strongly advise you to search for this documentary and things will become clearer to you.
42. Religious lunatics in your army ???
crackerjack   (03.01.11)
...a recepie for desaster. Slowly but surely these lunatics are taking over your country.
43. Hasan #5: a problem with your analogy
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (03.01.11)
Your analogy is totally irrelevant. The Gilad farm was legally bought from its former owner and is now owned by the Jew Itai Zer who allowed Shimon Weisman to build his house there.
44. to #22
ivan ,   haifa   (03.01.11)
good jews must oppose to palestinian homeĀ“s demolitions.
45. The Venom of Leftism
Brod ,   USA   (03.01.11)
The venom of Leftism has suddenly dominated the responses among the Talkbackers. Patriotic Israelis would be defending their fellow citizens whose houses have been destroyed. Only the enemies of Israel would declare Israel's liberated historic homeland of Judea and Samaria-Land of Israel as 'illegal.' Israel cannot allow this kind of destruction on Jewish homes to go on. No other countries in the world treat their people living in their own country like this. Dwellings in towns and cities have their own set of rules. However, in the hinterlands, people build their own homes as they please.
46. Guy, move to ISRAEL!
Ari   (03.01.11)
Stop living in an illegal settlement in the middle of Palestinian land and come back to Israel, where you can help develop the country!
47. Why doesn't he go and develop Negev?
Ari   (03.01.11)
Negev needs to be developped. He should go and settle there. Not only would this be legal, but it would be useful for the country!
48. Brod @45: R Jabotinski & Begin venomous leftists?
AmiKam ,   Jerusalem   (03.01.11)
What!? really! and here I thought that both Jabotinski and P.M. Mr. Begin were: a Patriotic Jew (the former) and a Patriotic Israeli (the latter) (please see my post @8) Was I mistaken? and while I'm asking? Do you think the IDF oath is also leftist? (I refer you to post @7) EBR, Jerusalem, correctly translated the IDF oath from Hebrew to English. I call your attention to: "I swear, affirm and promise upon my word of honor to be faithful to the State of Israel, to her laws, and to her authorized institutions:" see right there 'to her laws' meaning the laws of the State of Israel, is that leftist too? Wow! my friend, your nimble brain and its ability to interpret and understand TBs astonishes and amazes! Are you that quick when it comes to understanding the history and politics of the State of Israel too?
49. #46, #47
Brod ,   USA   (03.01.11)
Your argument sounds more like the typical crap of the Islamist-Jihadists. The Palestinians already have a large country called Jordan where 70% of the population are Palestinians. Judea and Samaria are Israel's historic homeland, since ancient time-4000 years ago, which Israel liberated from the Islamist-Jihadist occupiers in the 20th century. Stop talking about 'Palestinian' land in the Land of Israel which is GOD-GIVEN and GOD-RESTORED to the Jewish Nation as GOD"S Everlasting Covenant to them.
50. I am a soldier too,
Menni ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (03.01.11)
so this means I can build a house on Gordon Beach tonight???? Rent/buy a house like all of us do (and take a haircut)
51. Brod, USA TB #16 "Papist!" you said "Papist"?
Israeli ,   Israel   (03.01.11)
Brod, Brod, Brod you have up and given your fine right wing Bible Belt fundamentalist Protestant self away! "Papist!" you actually were so crude as to write "Papist"! Whoa! (Y-net FYI "Papist" is a derrogatory term for Roman Catholics used by right wing fundamentalist Bible Belt American Protestants [and/or members of the Ku Klux Klan] -- it is very mean and nasty and is equivalent to having a white American use the "'N' word" in speaking about African Americans such as the President of the United States.) Anyway Brod, Brod, Brod are you going to really think that we Israelis are clueless and that we don't know what the various Protestant sects (beginning with the Lutherans and moving on down the line) really think of Israel! Just in case you have any doubt let me share with you that we know that all you want us Israelis for is to hold the land for you until the (according to Roman Catholic/Protestant/Christian belief) second coming of Jesus! Really Brod go back and get yourself some real and true training on how to speak to us Jews and on how to respectfully refer to the Roman Catholics! Shame on you!
52. #51
Brod ,   USA   (03.02.11)
Do you know the history of Papism, whose early church fathers invented AntiSemitism, that persecuted Jews and Judeo-Christians for 1260 years in Europe and the Middle East during the Dark Ages starting from 538AD to 1798? "Fundamentalist Protestant?" Far from it. I am a Bible believing Judeo-Christian who worships the GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob-the GOD of the Bible-the Creator of the Heavens and Universe. You are right about Lutheran and even Anglican/Episcopalian "moving on down the line" extending their hands with Papism. The latter is working hard to have a convergence. This is not surprising. The Book of Revelation prophesies about the reemergence of the 'Second Beast' that will emulate the 'First Beast' of the Dark Ages.
53. @BROD, 48 & 51 put u in ur place! they win hands down!
(03.02.11)
go look up the word "Shatnez"? That word describes you to a tee!
54. #51 Israeli. Picking a fight with Christians is not going to
Claudia ,   Tampa USA   (03.02.11)
solve a disagreement between leftist Jews el al, and Religious Jews. Your belief that all Protestants want is Israel preserved for themselves shows that perhaps you should do a little research into Old Testament imperatives. Jews should not be making war on eachother, and that include the secular Jew in Israel. I suggest you should be preaching less to Christians and more to the government that allows it's reps, the "police" and the DM ass Barak to attack fellow citizens and destroy their homes. Shame on YOU!
55. AmiKam #48
Brod ,   USA   (03.02.11)
Israel is now in the 21st century. The past great leaders were strong. They struggled to rebuild a desolate land and turned it into a vibrant country and nation. They defended the country against unrelenting Arab Islamist-Jihadist terrorist attacks. They fought for Jeffersonian Democracy against the oppressive British Colonial Power that sided with Israel's enemies. And they fought to liberate Israel's historic homeland of Judea and Samaria- Land of Israel from the Islamist-Jihadist occupiers. The GOD of Israel and the Bible are the Foundation Stone of Israel. The Land of Israel is GOD-GIVEN and GOD-RESTORED to the Jewish Nation as a Fulfillment of GOD'S Covenant to Israel.
56. Destroying his home!
Ros ,   Tel Aviv   (03.03.11)
It was a shack built completely against the law. It is more urgent to have Israelis in the Galil than on that hilltop!!!!
