2. Syria Disperses Protests
Edward ,   Savannah, USA   (03.02.11)
Looks like Assad is getting a few tips from Barak on how to CONTROL the people!!!!!! It's funny how the Israeli government backs protests in ARAB countries, just not in Samaria/Judea. Seems like Bibi and Barak think they are "immune" too!!!
3. Hundreds protest price increases, burn Netanyahu effigy
Joy ,   NJ   (03.02.11)
Social workers and their allies demonstrate at a conference of the government trade office in Haifa to protest increases in the cost of living; and yet noting mentioned on Ynet news. what's the saying"whats good for the goose is good for the gander" need I say more?

Oh, please. Stuff it. Israel is the only stable, dependable ally of the United States in the entire Middle East. We also happen to be a democracy. Isn't that what the U.S. keeps pushing (to no avail) in the Arab and Moslem world? Good luck with that one. And before you cry those crocodile tears for the ersatz "Palestinians" in Judea and Samaria, I strongly recommend that you pause a moment to remember that on September 11, 2001, while Jews in Israel queued for hours to give blood, the ersatz "Palestinians" in the West Bank and Gaza celebrated wildly, passed out sweets and kissed pictures of Osama bin Laden. Or have you forgotten that? Do you think that they have changed? Here's a news flash: they haven't.
7. To: No. 3
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.02.11)
1. The demonstration was in Jerusalem, not Haifa, and it was reported on YNet: http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-4034913,00.html 2. The saying is "What's sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander." 3. You probably will say more, but you really shouldn't. Unless you don't mind making a complete fool of yourself. Need I say more?
8. Protest?
Ugarit_emperor ,   phoenicia   (03.02.11)
Where's the chanting and banners? To me this look like an ordinary day in damas. Maybe these ladies are in the queue to get their hair done at the hairdresser?
9. The World to "Joy"
Michael ,   Eilat, Isreal   (03.02.11)
It was reported, on the Israeli state run news, Ynet, Haaretz...in fact, there were almost as many reporters there as demonstrators. The most glaring thing you left out of your comparison was that no one was arrested, no one was beaten and the internet was not cut off. Also absent from your observations is that Netanyanhu only got 30 seats out of 120 in the last elections, yet was still able to put together a coalition of other parties. When that happens in any western country, excepting Italy, then perhaps you may feel a real democracy, or do you still think choosing between one of two parties who hold the same ideology only differing approaches as a real choice? Perhaps you should alter your ad hominem to: "what's good for the fish is good for the bird", as that is what you are trying to compare as one and the same. As for saying more, for your sake, better if you don't.

The caption should read "To: No. 2." Mea culpa; apologies to all.
