1. Now they know what it's like!
Ruthie ,   Ashkelon   (03.02.11)
2.  False Alarms
roxie ,   Northern Israel   (03.02.11)
#1 Ruthie dear we know what it is like having the alarms wail and rockets hitting our neighborhoods, or did you forget about the summer Lebanon war! We know how terrifying it is to hear the sirens and then the boom of missiles landing.
3. BE PREPARED ISRAEL
Asher ,   Ashkelon, Israel   (03.02.11)
The system was supposed to be perfect but then again false alarms are possible faults that can't be accounted for. Here in Ashkelon sometimes I hear big booms but no sirens and I can Guarantee it is not supersonic booms, lots experience on that (Over 30 rockets falling near my home). SO BE PREPARED!
4. alarm
Dave ,   Rishon   (03.02.11)
Not funny,,,.
5. Second time in two months? It's the second time this week!
sh   (03.02.11)
It sounded in the Zichron/Fureidis area the other day and was also a "technical hitch".
6. odd
Ilana   (03.02.11)
is t.a. not part of Israel? What do they think we have benn going through for the last few years???? I do npt wish it on anyone, but they sound so incredibly detached...
7. BS article
Ehud ,   Natanya   (03.02.11)
I work in Natanya too. Nobody panicked. Everybody assumed it was a test. Nobody moved.
8. #7 Ehud
David   (03.02.11)
That is very sad Ehud! These alarms should be taken very seriously every time they go off. Complain about the tests and malfunctions if you must but do not ignore the alarms. You don't know when they are real.
9. Better safe than sorry
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (03.02.11)
However, I do hope they fix it before the public thinks that a valid alarm is just another "Cry Wolf"
10. "throughout Israel" ?!? what about south ?!?
Amihai ,   Yesha   (03.02.11)
For those who had doubt : "throughout Israel" mean north and tel aviv for the medias. Beer-Sheva, Jerusalem, Eilat, and everything else is "not really" there. After some still ask why we do say that tel aviv is a bubble...
11. Former IDF officer and he panicked?
Israeli 2   (03.02.11)
True Israelis will be concerned but they do not panick, YNET!! They must have something false in their noogles. I concur more with #7, thank you.
12. #2 ARE YOU TOTALLY STUPID?
LAWRENCE ,   SAFED ISRAEL   (03.02.11)
Ruthie #1 meant that now the Tel-aviv elite know what it is like.
13. Fashla !
Birdi ,   Israel   (03.02.11)
Living real close to a primary school & hearing the kids screaming out of fear, at 11.50 a.m. was not funny at all.
14. First thought: Jewish Holiday??? - Can't be. Cars driving.
me ,   here   (03.02.11)
Second thought: No shelter in sight. But if the walls of Akko have withstood so many attacks in history, they just might (Good G-d let them!) stand against another one. Third thought: Who's shooting? Iranian navy vessels in the Meditteranean turning their weapons towards Israel? No blasts heard. Fourth thought: I'll just continute walking. It's probably nothing.
15. to #7 and #3: True, nobody moved, but
me ,   here   (03.02.11)
one should use ones own good judgement in each situation. Blasts without sirens is just as serious as the ocurrance of false alarms.
16. # 12
Birdi ,   Israel   (03.02.11)
Oh, oh Lawrence, what would we do without your insight? (big smile)
17. A warning to be prepared. G-d bless you Israel.
