1. Rebels should pick Hussein Obama as leader
Frank ,   Canada   (03.02.11)
He has all the required "skills". He has the right religion, he is anti-Israeli and he is as dumb as the average Arab ruler.

5. I Was Surprised and Not
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (03.02.11)
I wasn't surprised that Gaddafi, of course, would bring up Israel. That is one the goals of the Arab propagandists, to bring Israel's name, one way or another into this or any conflict. The goal is to associate Israel with things that are bad in a subliminal way. To foster the false concept that Israel is responsible for all the problems of the world. I was surprised to read that Turkey tried to use this as an opportunity to blackmail the EU into accepting them as members. Then even more SHOCKED to read Obama, our President, accepted this offer, if true, it's a sad day for us, here in the USA. While I do wish other countries would step up and intervene in Libya...after all it's about time...mainly I'm just sick of helping these people and spilling American blood, only to be vilified the next day as intruders.
6. NR 4.
Orao. ,   Srbia.   (03.02.11)
TURKEY IS OPRESSINGAND KILLING THE KURDISH PEOPLE. AND TURKEY IS GUILTY OF GENOSIDE ON ARMENIAN PEOPLE. TURKEY DESERVES NOTHING BUT DESTRUCTION. AND OBAMA DESERVES NOTHING BUT - ! Orao.Srbia.
7. europe and islamophobia
alexi   (03.02.11)
europe other than england and occasionally germany consists mostly a collection of cowed countries pulled between russia, germany and the US. For the most part,t hey are gutless cowards and drop like flies at the sign of trouble of blame israel, their convenient scapegoat. They are fightened like sheep by their moslem citizenry given their orthodox religion and their high birth rate. So they are restricting moslem imigration and enacting new loyalty laws. Along comes obama who is a moslem arab in his bones from childhood, and who identifies with arabs and stupidly supports turkish invasion of libya in return for its EU membership. Firstly, no one should invade libya, let them fight it out themselves just as iranians will have to eliminate kameinei and the whole rotten ayatollah leadership, the whole of it including rafsanjani who is no innocent. Secondly, turkey is not invading for clean reasons and that never works out. Thirdly, erdogan is a 21st century polished radical islamist who cavorts with bashir of sudan, ahmadinejad of iran, meshall of hamas and haniyeh of hamas along wiht assad insyria. His hands are connected to terror including those on the marmora who he supported. Obama can be independent but he has to represent american interests and not moslem interests unless they are in synch. And since he has been president, he is most comfortable sitting with erdogan, all of the arabs including hariri, fahd, abdullah. Contrast that with his demeanor with bibi or cameron of england where he is reserved and aloof. That is why the controversy over obama'sbirthppace continues because there is a lingering suspicion he has the arab world in his heart as his love. as much as he says his committment to israel is unshakeable, don't believe a word of it. He sold out mubarak in a second and he will similarly sell out israel in a flash.
8. he means they fought behind human shields, ran when attacked
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (03.02.11)
in other words, gaddafi's fighters are cowards.
9. Turkey's itching to step back into the game
HaifaGuy   (03.02.11)
They want : a)to resume their domination of the muslim world; b) become integrated into Europe. I remember i once wanted to have vaginal sex with this girl but at the same time i wanted her to stay virgin. must i say it didnt really work out? Get off the ladder ErdoGUN before you get electrocuted!
10. Gaddafi the wakooooo
Mike Van Harris ,   Antwerp Belgium   (03.02.11)
He should be cought with his children and hanged.
11. LMAO!!!!
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (03.02.11)
First Turkey opposes all sanctions against Libya, then supports them in the so-called UN Human Rights farce and now wants to be the ones to attack them. How does Turkey propose getting there? They have no transports or assault ships that were built since World War 2 and those they have don't work. Their airlift capability is about a single battalion. Are they going to march through Syria, Israel and Egypt? I don't think so.
12. "Israeli tanks in Gaza!"
Green ,   Bethesda, MD USA   (03.02.11)
I never would have imagined Gonzo Gaddafi praising his goons as emulating "Israeli tanks in Gaza!" Truly, "In the most horrific of situations, irony is seldom absent." -- H. P. Lovecraft (the Grand Master of the Macabre)
13. Actually, Gaddafi is palying the "West".
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (03.02.11)
The Dictator knows only too well who is sitting in the White House, No.10 Downing Street and the Elysee Palace. He knows they don't have what it takes to stop him and he has seen how his friend, Omar al-Bashir, couldn't care a damn about the International Arrest Warrant for genocide and travels around Africa like a king! He know the revolution will fail because of western piss and wind and we will all see how in six months time the USA, the British, the French and their "allies" will once again kowtow to the "King of Kings" and he will be the hero of the Muslim world. Sad but true and tyrants and barbarous regime will laugh all the way at the ignorance and lack of understanding of the Muslim mind although other African leaders, like Mugabe, are just as barbaric.
14. #1 you should apologize
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (03.02.11)
Ahmadinejad and Gadafi are far smarter than Obama.
15. Take the offer
Sheik Rattle & Roll ,   USA   (03.02.11)
and keep the US out of it. We have our own financial problems and we don't need to spend any more money or blood on foreign conflicts. Its always damn if we do and damn if we don't. All the other countries are worthless and useless but first to blame the US when they are sitting on there a$$e$ doing nothing except saying where are the American aircraft carriers. If any non-American want's to criticize Obama on foreign policy tell me who your leader is and I will tell you how useless he/she is or how much clout or options he has in any world crisis.
16. Like "Cast Lead"?. Ok then - where....
Progressive Populist ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (03.02.11)
....is Goldstone?
17. Turkey in the EU would be a Disaster

Turkey in the EU would be a Disaster
18. GAdaffi, Turkey, the UN and Obama r confused..
female ,   Ta-A'dam-NYC   (03.02.11)
Israel left Gaza in 2005,when Arik Sharon was prime minister, we have only a border with Gaza, like Egypt has, we only defend our border, like every other country does....when Hamas didn't stop shooting rockets at Sderot, Ashkelon etc after a few years, Israel attacked Gaza....the whole world was blaming Israel, including the UN....but all those years that the Hamas was shooting rockets on Israel and Israel was NOT occupying Gaza, the UN were quiet.....but with all the recent developments in the Arabic countries, do we here the UN???? Yes whispering....coz they are afraid....oil....oil....oil....prices going up etc...is the UN asking for an investigation.....no, coz they are hypocrits, but when Turkey send a Flotilla to Israel, with so called peaceactivists, we all saw the shootage, those were not peaceactivists....UN starts shouting, suddenly they have there voice back, investigate Israel they said.....now Turkye wants to attack Libie in return to get accepted to the EU.....is everyone going nuts???? NO WAY TURKEY WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE EU!!!!!!! And Obama is a loooooooserrrrrrrrrrrrrr.........

20. Hussein Obama supports Turky in Libya to promote Islam
(03.02.11)
Hussein O. is always on the side of the worst Islamists and is seizing on the opportunity to impose strict Sharia law in Libya by getting Islamist Turkeys to intervene there.
21. Turky can do it alone, Mavi Marmara is available
(03.02.11)
500 IHH Ottoman terrorists can topple the Libyan regime
22. no. 10, you too Brutus?
(03.02.11)
now that you have decided to desert your best friend in his most difficult hour, you look as an opportunist exactly like the arrogant Erdogan, "human rights prize" recipient from Kaddafi
23. What right does Obama have ....
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.02.11)
... to offer forth that he thinks allowing Turkey to spearhead a NATO operation in Libya in exchange for membership in the European Union is a good idea? 1. He is president of the United States. 2. The United States is not a member of the European Union. 3. Turkey is firmly under Iran's thumb and even though Obama is doubtless delighted about this (it is a perfect component of his Islamist agenda, after all), it is really a lousy idea for the rest of NATO and the West. 4. Turkey has not been militarily tested since Galipoli, where they held the high ground and could pick off the British troops pretty much at will. (Please note that I deliberately exclude the invasion of Cyprus and military actions against innocent Kurdish civilians, as no sane person would consider these military engagements.) Obama is a disaster. He is the worst possible person for the job right now. Between his absolute ignorance of Middle Eastern history and geopolitics, there's the troublesome matter of his jihadist agenda. I'm confident that Israel can ride out his disastrous presidency. I'm not sure that Europe can.
24. I agree with Gadaffi!
Hunt S. Cross ,   England   (03.02.11)
When your forces attack civilians, as Hamas did to Israel, then expect people to defend themselves with all they have. Erdogan is very keen to enter the EU, but Gadaffi has had very good relations with our governments in the last few years. It's clear that both adore violence, and neither of them believes in democracy (Gadaffi sounds more democratic than Erdogan, but I don't think he really means it). Now I'd like to propose a vote for every EU citizen to have a say in whether one gets in or neither. If Brussels doesn't allow us to say neither, then my vote goes for Gadaffi, 'cos Libya has oil.
25. #11 flotillas - the whole world supports those
rebecca ,   Modi'in   (03.02.11)
26. This crackpot really doesn't do himself any favours.
Lee ,   Manchester UK   (03.02.11)
what a deluded nonce. Gaddafi sets the blueprint for the horrors the Gazans will face under hamas. They will be gunned down without mercy by the likes of hamas.
27. sarah B
anton ,   istanbul turkey   (03.02.11)
can you be more clear about your i quote "Turkey has not been militarily tested since Galipoli" ?
28. ***Sarah***during the invasion of Cyprus
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (03.02.11)
these retards managed to sink one of their own destroyers...a really remarkable military achievement...LOL
29. #23Sarah B OBAMA AND ERDOGAN HAVE SOMETHING IN COMMON
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (03.02.11)
Obama and Erdogan have no right to make this agreement. What it shows is that the two of them are closet imperialists.Certainly, they've both tried to portray themselves as Israel's overlords. Now Obama is trying to portray himself as Europe's overlord and Erdogan as North Africa's and the east Mediterranean's overlord. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
30. to #4
John ,   Alaska   (03.02.11)
Of course the purpose of NATO is the protection of the interests of the US, and all other member states. And the protection of Israel's interest is both a strategic and moral imperative of the US. This means that NATO cannot take on an unneeded additional member who does not support the interests of the US and of the US's ally, Israel.
