31. Ghadri...a syrian karzai to be
Ihab ,   Lebanon   (03.06.11)
Interesting ghadri. He is a syrian who was born in Syria, raised in Lebanon and educated in the USA: He is part of the AIPAC. Can't beat that right? Why a syrian needs to help AIPAC? help israel against the UN resolutions? Conspire against his fellow arabs? He is aiming to be a candidate to be the SYrian Karzai. Yet, given the turmoil in the mid east, how likely he can succeed? how likely the west has any influence on the popular uprising? none. Ghadri has bet wrongly...He will never be appreciated by syrians and will never exceed the level of a collaborator vis a vis THE iSRAELI STATE. People like ghadri are the ones that still surprise me . If you cannot resist, at least keep quiet. No, Mr Ghadri is joining the israeli efforts against syria and then claims he wants syria confort. Ghadri...times have changed...it is clearer than ever....You need a proxy of the people to realize your political ambition. Truth: you have none. Sorry another life wasted on the wrong bet
32. Never give up the Golan Heights!
Sam M ,   UK   (03.06.11)
Whatever happens in Syria, Israel should never give up the Golan Heights. This golden plateau is producing some of the world's finest wines, meats and cheeses that are fit to grace the dinner plates of any food loving member of the world community. If it was occupied by Syria it would just be a launching pad for missiles fired on innocent Israeli communities and no doubt a barren wasteland, like much of the rest of Syria. Did it ever really belong to Syria? Of course it didn't. If it did, Britain would undoubtedly have a valid historical claim to Calais in France. The 'world community' ie the old colonial powers and their surrogates have always tried to hide the corrupt and time honoured practice of carving up territory according to their perception of 'national interest'. In no way shape or form can this theft ever equate to true ownership. Moreover archealogical digs have unearthed clear and indisputable evidence of ancient Jewish settlements a far more accurate indicator as to who has a legitimate claim to the heights. If the 'world community' ever admitted this historical fraud of 'Syrian ownership' backed and supported to the hilt by the arab/muslin left wing liberal power block it would only open a pandoras box to the numerous other fake borders (many of which mark out modern day arab states) created by these irresponsible charlatans and their modern day descendents and supporters. And the Syrians? Just be grateful for the juicy, crunchy apples that Israel is kind enough to let you have via it's Druze residents. It's more than you deserve. Get over it!!!

There were a small handful of Druze villages, which exist to this day. Why are you spreading lies?

Greg ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (03.07.11)
