1. last term for bibi
alexi   (03.06.11)
Bibi is trying his best and has more national conviction than barak and olmert. And he responds more to rockets than barak and olmert ever did. There should even be greater retaliation as I have said-knock out 4 gas stations, 4 metal shops, the docks, 2 government offices for every kassem. Now bibi is finishing his last term and he has no chance of winning another mandate and neither does livni who is olmert's twin pacifist. bibi cannot rise above a UN amabassador level and more importantly, he cannot take pressure. Whereas putin, sharon, begin could say no, he wavers and can't sleep on it. He probably knows he is done unless some miracle occurs. he just can' t take pressure. The next premier will be either lieberman, yaalon, gillerman or mofaz. it will certainly not be livni who is stuck to olmert in every way and cannot rehabilitate herself from her foolish positions. No matter what israel concedes, the palestinians will not end the conflict.
2. classic barak
marcel   (03.06.11)
idf hits empty fields or buildings making no impact on jihad and hamas. This is why barak got booted out of PM ship. He was unable to respond to terror for fear of US sanctions while ariel sharon was at least able to unleash yaalon to smash west bank terror. Not only bibi will finish office. israelis will not give barak even one vote as an mk iin a future government as he detested left and right.
3. Better later...
Jennie ,   US/Israel   (03.06.11)
It is beyond comprehension, how much we allow the palestinian terrorists to get away with...Finally, IDF bombed the tunnels, but just as many times before, they will dig new ones in no time and we will be again @ square one.. Is there any other country in the world, that enables their sworn enemies systematically dig tunnels, smuggle firearms and explossives and infiltrate into their sovereign soil to carry out attacks against their civilians ? This is going too far and for too long...Now is the time for ISrael to watch like a hawk every move the palis make and act with currage, resolve and full confidence...The Israeli Government, just like any other sovereign country, has the CAPABILITY,responsibility and the duty to defend its borders and its Nation's liberty, as well as stop and deterr any acts of war and agression to their citizens on their soil. By showing such strenghts,Israel will gain more respect among other Nations and could change some rules of engagement...Wouldn't that be cool and long overdued ?

what Israel should do if ANY rocket lands in Israel is clear the geography in gaza all the way to the coastline. no more rockets. nobody to blame but their own hateful ignorant selves. kind of like President Reagan handled quaddafi. didn't hear a peep out of him after that.

Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (03.06.11)
Will you make Hamas pay a price by targeting their leadership? Just because they miss there targets unintentionally (the Jewish civilians they intentionally target), doesn't mean you should miss intentionally. Arabs don't appreciate your restraint, in fact it's looked at, as weakness. From a PR standpoint, it will not be appreciated by the Europeans, who are weak anyway. Plus they are to easy for OPEC to blackmail with Oil. Only here in the USA do we understand your gracious restraint. No country in recorded history has ever shown more restraint to an enemy, who attacks their civilians. Look what the USA did after 9/11, as an example. Hamas is an evil group, a terrorist group, that is cruel to their own people. They use them as human shields, hiding their fighters, weapons, bomb factories among the residential area's (Homes, Apartments, School's, Hospital's, Mosques), hoping you'll miss with a pinpoint attack and accidentally kill their civilians, just for PR to vilify your country, how much more cynical can you get? Even this last attack, and I quote from the article: "On Friday, Palestinian militants fired two Qassam rockets at Israel. One exploded within the bounds of the Sdot Negev Regional Council and the other likely landed in Palestinian territory." Hamas fired TWO rockets, ONE landed in their own territory. What if it had hit an Arab house killing a family? Who do you think Hamas would blame? We all know Hamas has done this before (i.e. bomb factory in an apartment building blows up because of a work accident and kills civilians, Rocket's Hamas fires lands on their own people, Rocket goes off during a Hamas parade showcasing their weapons, Gaza beach incident etc.) all of these incidents have happened and been well documented. Hamas always blames Israel, and many people believe the lies. I know their baiting you right now. Hoping to distract the Arab rioters around the M.E., and redirect their anger at Israel. While hoping they can unify the Arabs around a single banner of hate, directed at Israel. But I hope you have a plan when the riots end? Make it quick, and hard, make them pay in a big way.
9. When you play with fire, expect to be burnt! Cease attacking
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (03.06.11)
the Jews of Israel and you too will remain alive. It is as simple as that, but a logic that since the 7th century has not penetrated the Muslim-Arab mind.
10. No injuries reported in several bombed targets
observer ,   Egypt   (03.06.11)
because either the pilots lacked competence or the targets were unimportant abandoned ones.
11. Get back to the table with the Knesset
Ypip ,   Canada   (03.06.11)
over your 'constitution'.
12. What a pity, what a waste of Tachmoshet
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (03.06.11)
IAF, next time how about making sure that somebody is in the tunntels ?
