The only reason Israel would be viewed negatively by most people (if true-which I doubt) is that most people have never been to Israel.

Taken in February of 2011 have Israel with 63% Favorable rating and the Pals with only 17%. Among the public here in the USA. Now the BBC reports some poll with vastly different numbers, in addition there is no link to the poll itself. That describes what questions were asked, how many people and from what countries. We only know 28,000 people were asked something? While you can go to the Gallop Poll and actually Read what questions were asked, how the poll was conducted exactly. and myriad of other information. So until I see the poll, and how it was done, what question were asked, when, how many from each country, etc., this poll is meaningless tripe. The proof is, at least in this article, there is no link to the poll. The BBC is a well known bias Media source against Israel.

So far, Israel hasn't been rendered guilty of anything in International Court, only in the minds of Arabs/Leftists and in the Court of Public Opinion. None of these hold any credibility. I don't usually put much faith in polls of any sort but it is true that Israel is becoming less and less popular due to it's treatment of the Palestinians and the now proven history of outright lying regarding the 'peace process'. Solidarity with the Palestinians is becoming a global wave. Time for Israel to soften it's stance and engage in real peace talks before the world stops listening altogether.

According to the Gallop Poll done last month here in the USA, The poll has been done for the last three decades or so. They ask the same questions and you can go to the Gallop poll website, see the questions asked, how many people, what dates they were done and a myriad of other information about the process of taking the poll. It's one of those polls other academics respect. This poll (the one done for the BBC) was payed for by the BBC, no information is given, not even what company that performed the poll. You have no idea what questions were asked, when, what the margin of error is, yet we have all the antisemitic gloating. But the Gallop Poll had the American public with a 63% favorable rating and the Palestinians with a 17% favorable rating. Which was a 3% drop from last year when the Pals were at 20%. Now we have this anonymous poll from the BBC telling us the majority of American public oppose Israel. Now that's a large difference between polls. As we all know, polls can be slanted to get the results you want based on how you ask the questions. So here people who choose to believe what supports their preconceived hatred of Israel are happy. Even though they don't know who did the poll and how it was conducted? So they gloat in what they consider a PR victory. But as usual they ignore the omissions of information. Something they would be jumping on if the poll said the opposite. Like I said, go the Gallop Poll website and you can look up the 63% favorable rating from the American public.

Perhaps so many people have a negative opinion of Israel because pro-Israelis scream "Anti-Semitism", "Liars" or "Nazis" whenever someone has a low opinion of them. Try reading the survey before you squeal. Twerps. Lets face it to only JUST be more popular than North Korea really takes some work.

Israel ranked among least popular states YET tourism is through the roof, the economy is up, Israel has more diplomats than ever before, and the list goes on and on.

why should the world love Israel? You guys hate each other- left right, liberal orthodox- hardly a day goes by without a controversy or clash of some sort. So, in your opinion, who should love? Israel? the orthodox? the liberals? Stop blaming everybody else-

BBC has zero credibility so this poll too is irrelevant. What's important is that israel is higher than Britain in the happiness index. That means that Britain is less popular than Israel to its OWN citizens. So before publishing biased polls, BBC should worry about increasing the desirability of Britain, and less about preaching and evangelizing Islam and anti-Israel racism.
