The saddest part is that the ersatz "Palestinians" do not even realize that they are only hurting themselves by refusing to take responsibility for their actions and their poor choices. They have rejected an opportunity for a two-state solution on three occasions, including, most recently, one which would have awarded them 90% of the West Bank and East Jerusalem as a capital. They chose to start the second intifada instead, and where did that get them? Seven decades of unrelenting terror has also been a spectacularly bad idea -- "terrorist" and [ersatz] "Palestinian" remain very nearly synonymous terms. They have been their own worst enemy for a very long time -- Israel has grown and thrived while the ersatz "Palestinians" have become ever more fractious and divided. And still, nothing is ever their fault. I think they are congenitally unable to accept responsibility for their actions. The film is a lie, and not only should Bakri be prosecuted and public funds withheld, but he should be made to reimburse, with interest, the public funds (which were provided on the basis of his assertion that he was making a "documentary" and he subsequently admitted that his film is not, in fact, a documentary) and he should be ordered to disgorge profits in order to pay damages to the soldiers for (i) defamation and (ii) slander. Isn't it amazing how these ersatz "Palestinians" take advantage of Israel's democracy and public trust in order to defame Israel? Talk about biting the hand that feeds you!

By virtue of his admission that the film was a lie, the soldiers have been defamed and slandered. You touch rather neatly on a chronic problem of the ersatz "Palestinians," and Arabs generally -- when the truth is not to your liking, make up something you like better and pass it off as the truth. The problems arise when the fiction is so much more palatable, it becomes their truth. Too bad for them. Reality has never been the strong suit of the ersatz "Palestinians," and that is why they have never been able to do anything positive for themselves. I'm a Christian Arab Israeli and I am PROUD to have served in the IDF. Me and all of my brothers did it and we would do it again. Christians are treated like dogs in every other Middle East country. Israel treats us well and I love this country! Bakri and Tibi are making Jewish-Arab relations harder for those of us that still think instead of just incite all the time.

This movie was never based on facts nor directed as a documentary, yet the Leftists allowed the term "documentary" to remain on "Jenin, Jenin" The film itself was based on fictional accounts which Arafat used to convince the UN that 500 people were massacred, while never touching the subject of Arab war crimes in the form of explosives labs placed inside residential buildings with often fatal consequences. The artists have no right to spin lies and provide more "credible" labels in order to increase sales or circumvent critics. That's called false advertising and is ILLEGAL!
