1. There was a good reason why the late Mr. Yitzhaq Rabin....
Jehudah Ben-Israel ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (03.08.11)
...., dubbed the Prince of Peace, stated in his las speech at the Knesset that the Jordan Valley must be viewed in the widest sense of the word and it must remain under Israeli rule. Other things that Rabin said in the same speech were that Jerusalem must remain united under Israeli sovereignty; that the major settlement blocs be part of sovereign Israel; and, that a future Palestinian state will not be a regular state, e.g. it must be demilitarized, its airspace must be controlled by Israel and all of its borders passes - land, air and sea - must be under the control of Israel. Mr. Rabin was a Jewish patriot who knew to recognize Israel's vital national and strategic interest. His thinking was not different than that of the present prime minister, Mr. Binjamin Netanjahu, both being Jewish and Israeli patriots.
2. He has only 4 women bodyguards
Moshe ,   Netanya   (03.08.11)
Gaddafi has 20 women body guards
3. What! What! What!!!!!
Salma ,   Palestine   (03.08.11)
What are you smoking, Bibi ?! even Abu Mazen would say BIG NOOO. Jordan will be the eastern border of a Palestinian state. either a full "Israeli" withdrawal from all Palestinian West Bank or forget the "peace".
4. borders, Olmert and livni
alexi   (03.08.11)
Do you recall olmert and livni ever saying idf needed to stay on the jordan valley border. In fact olmert 10 acceded to abbas's demands on most everything 2) he said what good is golan and borders when arabs have missiles and livni did not differ with him on this 3) He said we will sit with them until they westernize and will not want war and in fact he did sit with them-guess what-arabs want war. When they shout peace, they really mean war. They want to beat israel first and then they would take a break until their next attack on Jordan. Bibi correctly has a sobre understanding of the border and buffer zones. Livni has none. Livni is relying on signed agreements, the united nations which is an moslem camp and the united states which is burned out from afganistan and iraq and has no appetite to back up any treaties short of the united states land itself. it is obvioius to me that the beilins, baraks and livnis cannot lead israel, the question is whether israelis understand this. Bibi with all of his warts, is more able than all of them put together.
5. netanyahu missed
fad egypt   (03.08.11)
an important point the problem isnt just the jordan valley and the smuggling of weapons the problem is that the arabs in judea and samaria can manufacture home made rockets such as kassams which made in gaza to fire them at the israel cities every where around the territory so even if israel kept the idf in the jordan valley if it left the rest of judea and samaria or the PA cities the arabs would be able to manufacture the kassam rockets so the problem will remain the solution is that israel must control all judea and samaria and to fight terrorism by raiding and operating in area A shalom
6. Bibi has no right to cede a single inch of Israel.
Chaim ,   Israel   (03.08.11)
Bibi has a long history of misusing patriotic voters to implement the destructive agenda of the left. Once again, he's up to his old disgusting tricks. Having thrown away a huge Likud lead, Bibi lost the election to Kadima. He is only P.M. due to right wing support. Yet he is betraying Jewish patriots once again. Bibi has no right to cede a single inch of Israel. This tiny land is ours and has been ours for thousands of years. It is time for Patriotic Israel, which represents the vast majority of Israel, to rise up and make it clear we won't tolerate another betrayal from Bibi.
7. # 1 May be now even the leftists will be convinced that
Hedva Golan ,   Kubbutz Reshafim   (03.08.11)
Netanyahu's interest if Israel's security before all else, just as was that of Rabin. Thank you for sharing this information with us.
8. #3 you forgot something
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (03.08.11)
What you forgot is that your minimum demands are "peace with justice" which means: Judea and Samaria occupied by Arabs along the 1967 armistice lines, clean of Jews with no demilitarization and full control of airspace; unlimited Arab immigration into what remains of Israel; and no end of conflict. But I don't see why you are angry at Netanyahu: like Peres, Sharon, Olmert and Livni, Netanyahu will soon agree to all your demands.
9. Of Course That Is the Way It Has To Be
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (03.08.11)
Who would trust a an Arab people who have done nothing but try to destroy the nation of Israel. Whose population...at least a significant portion... voted for Hamas? Hamas has what stated goal in their Charter? Destroy Israel!! So why would just signing a piece of paper, with a people who have never kept their word, be trusted? While Israel has Two peace treaties that it signed and honored, The Arabs in the disputed land have Nothing, No treaty they have signed and honored, zip, nada, none. The onus is on the Arabs to prove they will live in peace. To date they still fire rockets at Jewish civilians every week. And it is ignored by the world, every week!! At the end of the day, Israel will be responsible for its defense. As we all can see currently with Libya, the world is slow to respond. So if a war were to break out, nobody would come to the defense of Israel. So any treaty must take Israel and its defense as the primary focus. If that isn't good enough for Abbas or Hamas, to bad. That's the way it is, take it, or leave it.

12. Palestine needs to be like Andorra
Eric ,   Tel Aviv & NY   (03.08.11)
Andorra has no military as "Responsibility for defending Andorra rests with Spain and France" This is the way Palestine needs to be with Israel and Jordan and Israel and Egypt defending the respective regions.
13. Tell it to Obama
Mike caton ,   USA   (03.08.11)
Netanyahu must tell this to Obama (and the world): no Pal state unless it is a DEMILITARIZED state. Anything else is non-negotiable.
14. Salma
Zionist forever   (03.08.11)
Salma I have thought of a nice little compromise. Israel keeps the Jordan Valley and in exchange you guys can have the arab triangle in the Galilee. We get fertile ground and security and you get fertile ground in the Galilee plus hundreds of thousands of arabs. You want the right of return so let the unwanted arabs in Israel the right to return to their own people. Everybody I a winner.

What a stud that man must be having 20 women to guard his body at all times.
16. #3 Salma
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (03.08.11)
They are not just "women", their shoulder epaluets indicate officer status How many female officers do you have in eithe Hamas or Fatah ? If these are the terms you're authorized to present, forget it, not in your wildest wet dream "Jordan will be the eastern border of a Palestinian state. either a full "Israeli" withdrawal from all Palestinian West Bank or forget the "peace".
17. About " price tag"
Keren ,   IL-BR   (03.08.11)
"A price tag is for the legal system to determine. This whole concept is wrong. We shall work to deal with the law breakers," Bibi says.. Than,do not humiliate Jews who believe that the whole biblical Israel must be settled, and start considering a policy to stress their point of view ,which is the only correct one and through which real and lasting peace will be achieved. Playing politics with anything else is just useless and ineffective . This fact must be deeply understood by all Israel and by her politicians, once and for all!
18. Bibi confirms that Jordan Valley is Eastern border !
Trumpeldor   (03.08.11)
19. Moshe,2#, but these are 4 beautiful Israeli girls
Judah ,   Golan Heights,ISRAEL   (03.08.11)
I have seen photos of Qaddafi's female bodyguards and they are not nearly as pretty as these Jewish girls. Qaddafi, has a beautiful Ukranian nurse with him at all times. Now thats a real plus. (I know its women's day so sorry if my email sounds a bit chauvinist).
20. Jehudah @ 1, I am with you on this one.

21. #3 Salma,THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MR NETANYAHU AND ABBAS

Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.08.11)
Hate to break it to you, but it isn't your decision to make. It is ours. There never has been "peace," there is no "peace" at present and there never will be "peace" with your violent lot. Jordan is the "Palestinian" state. There is no such thing as a "Palestinian" West Bank. It was non-sovereign territory when Israel acquired in the course of fighting a defensive war against Jordan. The Arab residents of the West Bank are Jordanian citizens, courtesy of Jordan's 1954 Citizenship Law which rather grandly bestowed Jordanian citizenship upon all West Bank Arabs, and their progeny, irrevocably. The ersatz "Palestinians" have proven for the better part of a century that they are not very good neighbors. Israel, on the other hand, has been very good to the ersatz "Palestinians." Following 1967, we built roads for you, we built hospitals and medical clinics for you, we created an infrastructure for you, we build universities for you, we reduced your infant mortality rate, we built a sewage system for you which put an end to those annual cholera outbreaks which claimed thousands of lives, and we made well-paying jobs available to you on demand. You repaid us with ever-increasing terrorism and violence. Sorry, but you have proven that you are not to be trusted. That you CANNOT be trusted. We will therefore annex Judea and Samaria and you, as terrorist persona non grata, will be repatriated to Jordan, country of your citizenship. Sorry. The ersatz "Palestinians" have sown the wind for a very long time. It is now time for you to reap the whirlwind. You have only yourselves to blame .... but "responsibility" and "honest self-appraisal" just isn't part of your lexicon, is it? You will have every opportunity to contemplate your mistakes in Jordan. I strongly recommend that you do precisely that.
23. The young women accompanying Netanjahu are actually
Sarah Gefen ,   Beit Shan, Israel   (03.08.11)
officers of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), and this photo-op was designed, as reported in the Hebrew press, to highlight the International Day of Women.
24. #22 Sarah B::A COMPROMISE ON THE JORDAN BORDER
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (03.08.11)
Maybe the democracy protesters in Jordan can prevail and pack the Hashemite immigrant regime back to the Arabian Peninsular. If that happens, the Palestinian Arabs can have the Jordan River as their WESTERN border with the State of Israel. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
25. To: Ian at No. 24
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.08.11)
Works for me, my Jordie friend. The ersatz "Palestinians" should consider themselves lucky that Israel does not reassert its hegemony over ALL of the Mandate, including that portion unlawfully carved away to create the wholly fictitious "Kingdom of the Transjordan." Depending on how troublesome they get, that is potentially an option.

every state has to be(come) a demilitarized state. perhaps this will be the end of warfare and the beginning of a full and just worldpeace.
