1. BRITAIN BACK TO THE PEACE IN OUR TIMES?
stude ham   (03.08.11)
what a loser this hague. the last time british officials declared peace in our times... over one third of the world's jews were heinously murdered... and over one hundred million people were slaughtered on the altars of britain's incompetence. britain also lost the middle east and desperately tried to prevent israel's birth during the 30's and 40's. britain is now helping the palis to further undermine israel's legitimacy. mr hague... i give you the middle finger salute!
2. Thanks Britain
Yoav ,   Vancouver   (03.08.11)
Stay out of Israel's business. Your input and assessment of the situation is highly irrelevant.
3. no matter how big it is, with pals involved it WILL fail
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (03.08.11)
and the more everyone props them up the greater the fail will be in the end.
4. ISOLATION OF GAZA REDUCE PEACE PROSPECTS?
Afried ,   Delray Beach USA   (03.08.11)
What would England do with land connected "country" that shoots 7000 rockets towards their citizens????
5. Brits are in time warp
Rachel ,   US   (03.08.11)
These clowns just got captured by a rag tag bunch of soldiers in Libya. They think they are going to dictate to Israel?
6. negotiations are futile
Yehoshua J1   (03.08.11)
the arabs will never give up on the so-called right of returned therefore negotiations are futile. Arab resistance is futile
7. Before loons come on talkback, Hague isn't anti semetic but
(03.08.11)
He is bald
8. HAGUE
jew from the east   (03.08.11)
mind your own business,ISRAEL is not your dependency.
9. No peace with "Israel" .full stop
Salma ,   Palestine   (03.08.11)
10. Wrong!
carlos ,   San Diego U.S.A.   (03.08.11)
The revolts in Arab countries have shown the unreliability and unstable nature of those countries. Any agreement with them is not worth the paper that is written on. Why should fatah and hamas who also want the destruction of Israel be different. Mr. Hague is absolutely wrong. Incredible absurdity from Hague.
11. Hague should resume peace talks over Falkland Islands
Ken Jurist   (03.08.11)
Israel should demand England resume talks with Argentina over the Falkland Islands.
12. 'palestinian authority'
leah ,   nyc   (03.08.11)
should not a semantic revolution take place and erase word authority from palestine ? authority!! what authority? 'ludicrous and illconstruct. find 1 ersatz word or none until minimal 'authority' achieved through future negotiations Palestine? is the ominous real way to define the future of their land bestluck
13. COULD HAGUE BE MAKING A PITCH?
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (03.08.11)
I have an idea that Hague is laying out his credentials with an eye to replacing the EU's Catherine Ashton. If he keeps up his bungling as Foreign Secretary,he'll be looking for a job soon. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
14. SEPTEMBER'S PA ELECTIONS
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (03.08.11)
"Hamas should not be allowed to stifle the democratic expression of Palestinian opinion," Hague said. (he should have added,..and neither should Fatah) Firstly,I'm amazed that Hague hasn't noticed that Hamas has been doing just that since 2007. Secondly,it isn't just the rest of the region that needs historic change towards democracy;so does the PA.Contrary to Abbas's limitted understanding of democracy,it's much more than just elections. What I object to is the assumption that the choice can only be between Fatah and Hamas;and if Hamas refuses to participate, they'll be no 'choice' except Fatah, which could be what Abbas wants. If the Palestinian Arabs were truly participating in the region's historic changes, there would be a new democratic opposition to Fatah and Hamas, something that both Fatah and Hamas have been doing their best to prevent, just like the rest of the region's tyrants. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
15. another "seize the moment" blabla
tiki ,   belgium   (03.08.11)
According to Mr. Haig, the bright British FM, "the Peace Proces can't be a casualty of the uncertainty in the region". He's absolutely right. The Peace is a 'casualty of the Proces, not the uncertainty in the region.
16. "Peace talks" with P.A. are deadly for Israel.
Chaim ,   Israel   (03.08.11)
The "peace talks" with the P.A. are deadly for Israel. The goal of these talks is to steal Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria from Israel, trim Israel's waist to 8 miles (15 minute tank ride) and inundate Israel with rockets and hostile Arabs. Every single goal of the "peace talks" is evil. It's time to end the sick charade once and for all. NO to the phony "peace talks". NO to the evil Two State Final Solution. And Hague, mind your own business. You have plenty of problems at home.
17. Tried in the Hague
Gideon Reader ,   USA   (03.08.11)
Billy hague is peeved and petulant as an ZerObama appointed Tsar who has just been defunded by those Wascally Wepublicans, and has been(boy is THAT <> on the money) since those miserible JOOOS blew up the King David Hotel and kick the Brits pimply butts out. All those noble Sons of the Shifting Sands not getting to massacre al Yehoodi is quite annoying, wot? I'm sure hairless Hague planner and dispatcher of SAS/Mi-6Spy missions that get busted by Libya, (or LYBIA if you are the american SecState) fer Crissakes is just the one to advise Israel how to get along with 'rabs in their own habitat. Maybe he should just stay at home and learn to pad the expense account like every pendulous richard in a political position in old Blight(ed)y.
18. Only a few decades ago Western Europeans
GZLives   (03.08.11)
tried to exterminate us. France, Netherlands ... and the Brits armed, trained the Arab Legion (Jordanian Army). Commanded by a Brit John Glubb with 43 British officers they invaded newly established Israel doing their best to kill as many of us as possible and stop the State from ever existing. We're supposed to pay much attention to these people? We should demand they first put an end to their incitement and their institutionalized anti Israel / anti Jewish media ie. BBC. People need to be reminded how much of our blood is on all of their hands.
19. Hague, the same old buffoon showing off his manners
jo   (03.08.11)
his British manners, to a very bored and unmovable audience. The same worthless, iddle talk has been hurled across the seas for years. Today it's another idiot's turn to show off his skills in politics, with the same old worn-out refrain " The peace process will fall victim, if jews and arabs do not return pronto to the stalled talks " --- Jordan's Abdallah,Obama, Assad, Hillary and bill Clinton, Saudia's Abdullah, Tony Blair, Sarkozy, Zapatero and other M.E. experts, have honed their oratorical skills on the subject, and came out with the same used melody. --- All the while, throughout the arab world, the unabated " kill the Jews, to Jerusalem, there is no Israel " and a few more well chosen adjectives..And those imbeciles named above must be praying that Israel cedes more and more land, and commit suicide ASAP, so their arab friends can continue the orgy, the massacre of one another.under the benevolent approval of the Pope.
20. #10 carlos BRITAIN DOESN'T NEED A FM
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (03.08.11)
Hague is symptomatic of the post-New Labour mess that Britain is in. Britain has very few overseas interests left,is generally disregarded abroad and, anyway,it's foreign policies are determined in Brussels by the EU. Britain has very little need for a Foreign Secretary any more and now it's just a convenient political appointment to keep one of the usual suspects quiet.Competence doesn't really matter. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
21. And it's ALL about OIL!
Lee ,   Manchester UK   (03.08.11)
one day i firmly hold to belief that Israel will wake up one morning 'floating' atop the once arab oil that moved west. THEN and only then will Israel (humanity) prevail over $$$$££££ and be at peace. In the meantime Bibi please tell Hague to 'surrender the Falkland Islands back to the Argies' first, and to put your money where your mouth is.
22. Clueless
BH ,   Iowa   (03.08.11)
They still don't understand one can't "negotiate" his way out of a shark attack.
23. Maybe Neil Chamberlain has some sons to help the PA.

24. uk: Whats Vital Is
Brazen   (03.08.11)
the cessation of TERRORISM within ISRAEL by arab/bedouins. So mr stiff neck mk brit we know the uk's stance of Israel.
25. Hague is typical of world leaders & other people in general
John Phee ,   Sydney, AUSTRALIA   (03.09.11)
Hague is like everyone of us...... Ever seen what happens when people go for help with personal disputes. The advice is almost always based on not what the parties involved want but on what the person hearing it wants. Divorce is a typical example, you go problems the advice is "get a divorce". But when the advice is followed & things do not improve the adviser says "not my fault, not my problem, it was YOUR decision". World leaders are humans too & their solutions are human as well.
26. Neville is talking again
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (03.09.11)

27. #9 Salma, you're very emphatic
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (03.09.11)
Would you mind telling us where you're hdiing while you're calling for "No Peace" ? How brave of you, waiting to see your brothers & sisters, killed and injured, while you bravely egg them on for your deviant entertainment
28. He sure is a UGLY UK individual.
