The tensile strength of an oath is only as secure and strong as the person(s) or entities to whom that oath is given. The first time an event or circumstance occurs at the behest of those person(s) of organizations, that causes the oath's integrity to be compromised; the value is lost. Recovery is not easily reclaimed. A person or organisation that "dumps" on the oath giver's reason for swearing that oath, is the acid that eats away at the basic strength of unit cohesiveness and further compromises the entire organizational structure. The management (commanders) of the unit have failed terribly. The soldiers must be tried and split up and a new command structure must be put in place.
