31. Tensile strength Oaths
Gideon Reader ,   USA   (03.09.11)
The tensile strength of an oath is only as secure and strong as the person(s) or entities to whom that oath is given. The first time an event or circumstance occurs at the behest of those person(s) of organizations, that causes the oath's integrity to be compromised; the value is lost. Recovery is not easily reclaimed. A person or organisation that "dumps" on the oath giver's reason for swearing that oath, is the acid that eats away at the basic strength of unit cohesiveness and further compromises the entire organizational structure. Who in hell is giving passing grades at Command and Staff college, these days, to commanders who accept the bringing down of a soldier's home and then expect him to grin and do a "Yes sir. No sir. Three bags full, sir?" Better get the polititurds out of the equation muy pronto, or there's gonna be some bad trouble.
32. dissolve and rebuild
Ethan Schwartz ,   Eilat   (03.09.11)
The management (commanders) of the unit have failed terribly. The soldiers must be tried and split up and a new command structure must be put in place.
33. #23 IDF Veteran
solomon ,   bklyn   (03.09.11)
#23- I respectfully disagree. True, someone now living in Israel has better perspective than even someone who had lived there, but there are general, universal topics which can be commented on, such as soldiers saying they will not obey their commanders. And for those of us who have lived in Israel, how much time 'must' we have lived there in order to 'qualify' for commenting?
34. Opa! 21 4 sure u r 100% wrong Linda Rivera agrees w/u!

35. #9 what's your real name...
(03.09.11)
and also gives his life for his country not for an illegally acquired plot of land with an illegal building on it! and I am LMAO as you know I know a bit about Hong Kong's history and you have a real gall to come and mouth off here!
36. #23 IDF VETERAN
Marcel ,   Florida   (03.09.11)
You should be telling the Quartet peace pimp who can't deliver any semblance of peace to STAND DOWN! When you've relayed your order to them then get back to me. in the mean time.... I don't take orders from schmucks who think it's ok for the IDF to go after loyal Zionists who refuse to bow to the agenda of the goyim. Shame on you ,son of Esav who sells out his birthright for lies of peace from outside meddlers.
37. #1 go live in Iran, you would feel good among those fanatics
michael ,   sao paulo   (03.09.11)
38. To #30
Seppo ,   Finland   (03.09.11)
Maybe I care more about Israel than even Israel government. There are bigger problems than discussed in newspapers but Israel's image in the world is very bad simply because Nobody tells about Israel's legal rights. Even in Israel people don't know because nobody tells them. Settlements have plenty of legal rights but government does not allow them. The worst is Barak who wants to sell them without any payment. I am very sad.
39. The Brigade Commander is a fool
meir ,   TA   (03.09.11)
It takes an idiot not to understand the emotional strain of those under his command. The IDF is a citizen army and is part of our ethos. The morale of our soldiers is critical. The commander should be replaced immediately for incompetence.
40. #1 & #36 big talk for a little man in Florida...
a socialist ,   Jerusalem   (03.09.11)
I agree with and understand the IDF Veteran. He could be politer about it but he's 100% on point it isn't your life on the line so what's up with pontificating all the way from Florida? like I said big talk for a little man in Florida
41. @23 It is not the same IDF
Trumpeldor   (03.09.11)
1. If you were a veteran, you served under officers who were loyal to the Jewish People 2. Srugot are taking over and hilonim do not want to accept that fact ! 3.IDF should stop harassing his own people at once .
42. #24 COCO you are wrong
David ,   On this planet   (03.09.11)
She stole the documents when she was still in the service. Explain how can she steal and copy the documents if she was already discharged .She was caught after she was discharged she should have been judged by a military court because the stealing was done in the military and not out. you can go and figure now
43. Barak@Netanyahu.....
Shalom ,   U.S.A.   (03.09.11)
They are responsible for this pityful situation. Barak is a corrupt, selfish politician who can't wait to get rid of Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria. Netanyahu is a spineless, demagogue lackey of the american administration.
44. #27
(03.09.11)
Idiotic comparison you make of our forces and the nazi
45. Govt. broke laws by destroying home

46. #27 Rebecca
solomon ,   bklyn   (03.09.11)
The kinds of commands the IDF gives it's soldiers have nothing to do with commands given the nazi troops. The IDF itself makes this distinction. Let the general public protest against "wrong orders". This kind of protest has no place in the IDF. Yes, "the Israeli army has laws". The soldiers should obey them.
47. Barak appeases HIzbollah, but makes life hellish for todays
Yaron ,   Ashdod   (03.09.11)
maccabees, trhe most self sacrificing idealistic Jews in the world, and in Israel. Generations from now will look at them as the heros they are. You have no idea how many appreciate these brothers and sisters, and these high level combat troops. Barak is asking for a civil war if he allows bullets fired on loyal citizens. See Libya Egypt Tunisia Saudi Arabia for examples of what happens when you pikc a bad fight with your own population.
48. # 26
Birdi ,   Israel   (03.09.11)
Dont expect others who have not been in Zahal to understand your opinions (which I agree with) It is always the little people who pay the price & take the fall. I cant wait for the day when Barak is booted out of the gov. The man is despicable.
49. Whoa!
Cameron ,   USA   (03.09.11)
Troops talking mutiny, and throwing aside their military oath of loyalty and obedience? A heavy, bad wind. Time to make an example of the Kfir Brigade, and break it up. Not to be tolerated.
50. #23. Keep quiet my brother, Israel is only here, in large
Another IDF veteran ,   Lod   (03.09.11)
part because of the hundreds of billions in aid towards all sectors of Israeli society over the past 131 years. Not only that but the tourism and the Jews of the world are no less partners in our country. The huzpah you demonstrate is out of place. Therefore a "thank you, and please express your opinion on OUR collective Jewish state", would be more suitable.
51. Must Go!
Anshel ,   Toronto, Canada   (03.09.11)
Napoleon Bonaparte Barak must go, the sooner , the better. he represents no one, just his own interest and the interest of financiers who helped him to become socialist millionaire. Bibi wake up, Peretz was a pussycat comparing to Napoleon Bonaparte Barak, he will deliver you his own Waterloo.sooner or later.
52. #45 sam
solomon ,   bklyn   (03.09.11)
The articles you quote have absolutely nothing to do with the case at hand. The laws of the IDF in no way infringe on any human right. Anarchy is not a protected right.
53. #50 ta'asele tova! ata titkapel lo ani!
IDf veteran #23   (03.09.11)
54. wow! the babble is sure on 2night!
(03.09.11)
Best one is the fool in Modin who compares the IDF with Nazi Armies! What's up with all of this verbal sewage...wow!
55. If Haredim are not able to be good soldiers...
PO ,   Ramat Gan, IL   (03.09.11)
... the exempt them to make military service. So it will be clear that Arabs and Haredim falls in the same cathegory: ISRAEL'S TRAITORS.
56. What's up with the receeding hairline...
seadog1946 ,   ArthurKill, y   (03.09.11)
57. # 50 Another IDF Veteran
Marcel ,   Florida   (03.09.11)
'The huzpah you demonstrate is out of place.' Says you ? Who the heck are you ? Mother ? That's whats missing in Israel . The land of the Sabra has become the land of the losers and defeatists who can only attack their own people. The undemocratic socialist's and bolsheviks have silenced anyone who stands up against the status quo of surrender and appeasement. More chuzpah is needed PRONTO. The IDF having failed to defeat Hizbollah and Hamas in order to please their false gods in Washington have lost their credibility and are in no place to tell anyone what to do. Now the IDF goes after fellow Jews because their master Obama likes it and does not approve them targeting Islamic terrorists. How sick is that ?
58. To #30 Split (brain)
Steven ,   Rockville, USA   (03.10.11)
Why would you care, you are in USA.? Just shut up in this, and in other issues as well.
59. #57 Marcel
solomon ,   bklyn   (03.10.11)
You are the one who has lost all credibility. In post after post in article after article you spout the same anarchy, assuming you and your friends are have the only truth...even if many of us see that your 'truth' is destroying Israel.
60. You raise an interesting point, #55
Cameron ,   USA   (03.10.11)
Have they proven to be overall good soldiers? Difficult to generalize about such a matter, I know, but it would be interesting to hear opinions on the matter. Just curious.
