31. Egyptian military threat to Israel
Arny Handelman ,   Toronto, Canada   (03.10.11)
An unknown source of danger is possible foreign military support for Egypt. Russia, Iran, or other countries might supply sophisticated offensive weapons to Egypt. That could change the equation very quickly. In 1973 Israel was arrogant and complacent, and underestimated Egypt. We cannot and must not make the same mistake again. While resources need to be allocated judiciously, Egypt cannot be taken for granted.
32. Sinai = Negev
Hansje   (03.10.11)
What's the difference between holding manoeuvers in the Negev and fighting Egypt in the Sinai? Is the sand different? The sun less harsh? Other camouflage? This article is pure BS.

I wouldn't say that 30 years of no wars isn't exactly nothing

the "money" of $70B exposed by the western media under Mubarak's name is just speculations, this was trying to bring down Mubarak and nobody really have the correct figures, otherwise these "money" belongs to western countries since it is in their "banks", ok? it was done to fuel more on the revolution!
35. The threat is real
RAYS ,   USA   (05.06.11)
The Egyptian military is far superior to 1973's.. Israel can't afford to depend as much as it does on reserve call ups. Israel needs at least two more FULL TIME PROFESSIONAL DIVISIONS. To keep the peace requires preparedness and strength. As a USA soldier in 1943 I was equipped with a 1903 sprinfield rifle and my tank company with tanks equipped with low velocity 75 mm cannon. I First to face Rommels superior tanks ,the company ( G of 1st Armored Regt) was wiped out in hours. The USA had oceans protecting it and giving it time to build up and learn early lessons. Israel does not have time or space to protect it from multiple threats. Start NOW to build a stronger deterent force.
