King's legislative goal is uncertain. He's a supporter, himself, of the IRA provos - on the record. Some of the Japanese-Americans who spent time in WWII camps have talked up concerns of internment camps. No response from King on that. He scheduled no witnesses from law enforcement. Only one testified so far, invited by Democrats, a deputy from LA who highlighted cooperation, not radicalization. FBI, DHS and CIA specifically not invited, but no reason given. No testimony about the attempted bombings of the Dearborn Mosque or the Spokane MLK Day parade, both in January. Those are both Homeland Security issues and the wannabe Spokane bomber has been charged with attempting to use WMD. No concern to King, however.

Rabbi Schneier's words ring with truth, that truth being the fact that he is a very unstable individual who should keep his suicidal tendencies to himself. I am all for contrarian points of view, however his assertions are little more than the rants of a disturbed and deluded mental patient.

You forget that the muslims of Patterson NJ partied in the streets on 9/11 when the towers came down. What is wrong with looking at radical muslims? If 10% of muslims are radical, that is a lot of radicals. Why should we sit by and have our throats slit when we can defend ourselves by knowing our enemy?

I don't agree with Rabbi Marc Schneier's opinion. Every nation needs to have eyes open and be aware when the majority of a given group is not demonstrating against those within their religion who are actively promoting terrorism. I have yet to see Western Nation Muslim communities demonstrating against "Islamist" violence such as bombing of London's subway system or the trains in Spain. Have you?
