4. The perfect solution!
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.18.11)
Annex Judea and Samaria -- thus making them a part of Israel -- and repatriate the Arab residents of the West Bank to Jordan, country of their citizenship.
5. Thank you very much YNet!!!
Israeli 2   (03.18.11)
You are exposing the leftists for what they truly are. Angry Jew haters!! I had to read this article several times in order to absorb his viscious and serious disgust with a people who have a right to live in their own land without anti-semitic provocation. Absolutely ludicrous article.
6. It's difficult to fight demonization abroad
Rachel ,   US   (03.18.11)
when your own government engages in it. Bibi authorized Barak to use live bullets against settlers. And he approves Barak's heartless demolitions. Bibi is part of the problem not the solution.
7. let's leave west bank
david azoulay   (03.18.11)
and there will be no problem anymore
8. #3 jm, UK - You are a pathetic joke
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (03.18.11)
If, as you claim, Jews are living of 'Occupied Land", you first have to show that you're entitled to call it yours in the first place I have a few easy questions, which if answered will prove the land is yours and not ours Perhaps you will be a pioneer and be the first to answer these questions Just keep in mind, that if you don't, you've lost all legitimate claims to what you think is yours Let's have a whirl at it, shall we ? Name its kings or rulers. What are their achievements? With which other peoples did the Palestinians interact? Where can one find any records where in the name of the country of Palestine or its people are mentioned? What Archaeological sites can one name? Where can one find the recorded history of these people? Whom did they conquer or were conquered by? Was Palestine ever recognized by a country whose existence, at that time or even now, leaves no room for misunderstanding? I am not holding my breath awaiting your response
9. #8 david azoulay - Do you guarantee it?
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (03.18.11)
Then you will have to explain why we had problems before we were in the West Bank I'm waiting for you bubba meiseh
10. For gods sake Israel
Y ,   N   (03.18.11)
Draw new borders between you, Egypt and Jordan. Get rid of the palis NOW, or they will be your demise!
11. i agree with this article 100%
(03.18.11)
12. Disagree
Carla ,   United States   (03.18.11)
Government's first priority should be to move the settlers to areas within 1967 borders.
13. As the first step stop using the word "settler"!
tanya ,   tel aviv israel   (03.18.11)
14. C.A.M.E.R.A. is an organization for fair reporting.
noa ,   israel   (03.18.11)
It is in America, can be found on the internet, and is mostly concerned with instances of biased reporting against Israel. Anyone can become a member, and report any article or news reporting that is unprofessional, or one-sided. They will act on that.
15. I am sorry
(03.18.11)
but I think that the settlement enterprise itself is incitement and one of the obstacles to peace. You should do something about this kind of incitement too, sadly the Netanyahu government decided to step it up.
16. Stupid
rasst ,   israel   (03.18.11)
Its easy when you living in the U.K And giving oppinion, bring your ass here and open that jaw
17. Bibi's responsibility to inform to say settlements are LEGAL
Yishai ,   Israel   (03.18.11)
according to international law and stand up for the (great) settlers!!!! Where is the education and voice from the Israeli government?
18. Boy, are you disconnected from the reality!
Michael Steiner ,   Bahrain   (03.18.11)
The government's first priority should be the education of our kids. Next, it should be tackling the economic crisis. Then, it should be securing our borders (the REAL, pre-1967, borders). At the same time, it should stop lying to everyone and engage in a genuine peace process, while slowly disengaging itself from the doomed settlements adventure.
19. Tanya #13: I agree with you about the
Robert Haymond ,   Israel/Canada   (03.18.11)
misuse of the term "settler". The connotation is one which suggests illegality and impermanence. For what it's worth, I use the term "Yeshuvem" (communal members) now when referring to those of us residing east of the Green Line.
20. Interestingly enough, many Palestinian
Robert Haymond ,   Israel/Canada   (03.18.11)
Arabs prefer our presence as opposed to an administration run by Arabs. Here are some points to keep in mind: 1) Palestinian Arabs are not united. Besides the significant political splits, they are divided from one another and fractionalized because of huge family or clans, 10,000 or more each. 2) The average but unheard of Palestinian recognizes that their leaders are corrupt and do not channel funding into the betterment of their lives and well-being. 3) The effect of the presence of Israel increases economic opportunities not only with respect to construction jobs but agricultural and mercantile as well. Palestinians whose well-being is advanced by Israel's presence are aware of this factor. During the last intifada, economic opportunities were diminished. Another intifada will significantly diminish economic well-being again. This is now being understood. 4) Health care and educational opportunities have been significantly improved due, in part, to the presence and intervention of Israeli functions. For instance, 180,000 Arabs from the Westbank benefitted from Israeli medical intervention last year. Life expectancy of the Palestinian Arab is the highest of all Arab nations.
21. #14 C.A.M.E.R.A is a right wing front organization
AMP ,   Jerusalem   (03.18.11)
Their research is very good, I would even say impressively excellent research but at the end of the day their analysis and writing always has a very extreme right wing twist to it. In other words being biased in the opposite direction from the rest of the world leaves one being biased too!
22. Let's call them "halutzim."
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.18.11)
Pioneers.
23. To: No. 3
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.18.11)
Israel acquired non-sovereign territory (Judea and Samaria) in the course of fighting a defensive war against Jordan. It is not an "occupation," and Israel's presence is fully legal, as are the settlements. If you REALLY want to know what an illegal occupation is, you need look no further than the six counties of Northern Ireland which are illegally occupied by the U.K. If you are that concerned about "occupation," why not start with your own country? Free the six counties from illegal and tyrannical rule by the British. You live in a glass house, Jim. Best not throw stones, okay? Someone here is bound to throw them right back.
24. To: AMP at No. 21
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.18.11)
Their research is flawless and impeccable. The results are what they are. If the results support the arguments that exist on the right of the political spectrum, then all that can be said is that the political right's position is supported by the facts. Bias doesn't enter into it -- the facts speak for themselves.
25. #18 What borders ???
Amihai ,   Yesha   (03.18.11)
What borders are you speaking about ??? There was only different armistice line, line which have been defined by where the fighting was going on before this agreement of stopping hostility. Only two borders were defined : -the philadelphia axe, with Egypt, -the jordan river, with Jordan. And that's all. All the others borders will have to be fixed by negociations by Israel and the country implied.
26. #8 pass over?
observer ,   Egypt   (03.18.11)
The discoveries made by the new archeology, during the 1980s, discredited a great exodus in the 13th century BC. Moses could not have led the Hebrews out of Egypt into the Promised Land, for the good reason that the latter was Egyptian territory at the time. And there is no trace of either a slave revolt against the pharaohs' empire or of a sudden conquest of Canaan by outsiders.
27. #18, Shteine, from occupied territory of Bahrain.
tanya ,   tel aviv israel   (03.18.11)
Dear Mr. Shteiner. Being very busy with "occupied palestinian territory", did you notice that Bahrain is now actually occupied by Saudi Army?
28. to Sarah B @24....
AMP   (03.18.11)
You know that I know that you know that facts can be manipulated! Bias enters into it....because the facts aren't speaking for themselves CAMERA is speaking a particular agenda through the facts.
29. #26 NON-OBSERVER
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (03.18.11)
Digs?, your references and proofs are ? Maps showing it was Egyptian territory ? Since you referenced #8, just stick to the questions I posed, ,Answer them !!
30. #7 yes that worked so well
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (03.18.11)
