I very much doubt Iran is going to start looking to put men on the moon anytime soon. Satellites yes but they don't need a rocket they can retrieve for that. This is probably more about developing ICBM technology. An ICBM goes into space before reentering the atmosphere above at its target. To do that your rocket needs a nosecone thats not going to burn up on reentry. If Iran announced they were building ICBMS then they world would start panicking and start thinking about bombing those nuclear sites. Its not just Israel in range of a nuke anymore its everybody who Iran doesn't like. If Iran announces its sending a toy monkey into space and bring it back down alive they can not only develop their nosecone technology but they can also boast that they were the first people to put a toy monkey into space. This is something to worry rather than laugh about.

Hey Sarah, Yes Iran did take about 14 hostages and returned them, but a few years later US military shot down a civilian airline and killed 200 Iranians. Also, US gave military weapons to Iraq to invade Iran for 8 years, killing another one million Iranians. Does this sound like justice to you? I hope you understand politics. As an Iranian, I have many Jewish friends from Israel, and they're all very nice people as well.
