1. Keep talking Rabbi!
Dovid ,   Los Angeles   (03.21.11)
If this R' Levanon were an agent for the secular left, he couldn't do a better job! Well done Rabbi! Keep up the good work!
2. Responsibility
Ethan ,   Eilat   (03.21.11)
It's time for these believers to take responsibility for their own actions. If there is someone among us responsible for the slaughter of the Fogel family and the evacuation of the Gaza Settlements it is the settlers themselves, who must do much soul searching to try to understand why they are being punished in such ways.
3. professional advice
Michael ,   Haifa   (03.21.11)
Can some reader give a professional assessment whether this Rabbi is a fool or a lunatic ?
4. Rabbi
mike ,   Namibia   (03.21.11)
The rabbi should go sit on Pinnochio's face and tell lies!
5. Another mishiganeh looking for a headline
Avi ,   Israel   (03.21.11)
Hes welcome to Join Katsav in his prison cell where he can be assured of 3 kosher meals aday .
6. Little Moshe.
Philip ,   Afula, Israel   (03.21.11)
Will be punished for a far different pullout than that of Gaza. Its what he pulled out of his underpants, does not the rabbi understand this, In either case the rabbi and the former president deserve each other ,they are both morons.
7. katzav
d simpson ,   dt.own@teacherstern.   (03.21.11)
what utter tripe
8. No - he's being punished for rape
Bruno ,   Haifa   (03.21.11)
isn't that enough of a Chillul Hashem for you? Looking for extraneous reasons only reduces the impact and import of what he did. Why not say that he's being punished for precisely what he was found guilty of - that is surely more than enough to shame anyone.
9. so not al rabbis support katsav!
eddie ,   london UK   (03.21.11)
10. Could we have his comments on Goldilocks and the three bears
Avi ,   Israel   (03.21.11)
11. Those To Whom God Talks
Joe ,   Israel   (03.21.11)
According to the Samaria rabbi, however, "The question whether the former president is innocent or did in fact commit an indecent assault is irrelevant. " Only because it wasn't his wife or daughter.
12. #2 Your words worse than Rabbi Levanon
David ,   Shiloh Israel   (03.21.11)
I only hope you that were trying to be clever with your words by suggesting that 'those' settlers are somehow responsible for the actions of a non-human savage, and that you meant to mimic Rabbi Levanon? If you sincerely meant to say that a family of Jews living in Israel can have their slaughter justified, then I suggest that you advertise your insanity elsewhere, like in a lunatic assylum or in Gaza.
13. Pullout
Albi ,   Ashkelon   (03.21.11)
I remember when the rabbis in Gush Katif told their followers that G-d would never allow the pullout to happen.( As a result they didn't want to negotiate for terms of compensation). It seems clear that, according to the learned rabbis, it was the Almighty who was responsible for the pullout, because He allowed, and therefore supported, the evacuation of Gaza.
14. #2 responsibility
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (03.21.11)
Please explain why the Zionists are responsible for the slaughter of the Fogel family. Why don't you blame Professor Zeev Sternhell for publicly calling for Arabs to attack Jews?
15. Ethan , disgusting
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (03.21.11)
The only responsible for this atroce murder is/are the murderer[s] ,.The same [ their own fault ] was said about the Jews before and during the Shoa . Regarding Katzav , he was punished for his "behaviour" with his employees , nothing else .
16. Well, since it's being talked about on this thread...
Dorothy Friend ,   Tel Aviv   (03.21.11)
... why was the reaction to a a murderous attack on a family so different at Itamar than it was at Metzer? Oh, and by the way, Katzav is being punished (hopefully, we will find out later today) for rape.
17. Katzav and punishment
Toby ,   Israel   (03.21.11)
I don't understand, If Katzav is being punished for not opposing the pullout, what waqs that poor family in Itamar punished for? Was their murder a punishment too? I hope that we will thinking for G-d.
18. sternhell????!!
#2 for real ,   Il   (03.21.11)
he made honor to his name
19. Paid by tax dollars!
Moshe ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (03.21.11)
How many of these lunatic "rabbis" are paid by the state with our hard-earned money? It is obscene!
20. & da rabbis moma...
oferdesade ,   israel   (03.21.11)
was punished for not pulling back out
21. Sacrilegious
Steve ,   Ra'anana, Israel   (03.22.11)
So the rabbi knows what God wants and it is just what the rabbi's political views are. It is nonsense like this that diminishes the stature of religious (not observant) Judaism.
22. To #3 and all the other fools like him:
Israeli 2   (03.22.11)
The rabbi IS correct. He is neither a fool nor a lunatic. I have never thought about it in this light. Liberalism IS indeed a mental disorder. They will never be satisfied until they see Israel destroyed. You and your pack are sick.
23. The new prophetic movement
Lev ,   Los Angeles   (03.22.11)
Rabbi Levanson is a modern prophet. He has the gift to give proper theological understanding to historical events.:-) But seriously, God forbid Katsav was punished for what the courts said he actually did. Levanson and his fanatically religious supporters are truly mentally ill.
24. the rabbi is wrong ...
jack ,   jerusalem   (03.22.11)
..it's backing the penetration he's being punished for
25. Yes Michael,# 3.He is both a fool & a lunatic
jo   (03.22.11)
Another wise crack from a rabbi who knows everything. Together with their 30% haredim, they amount to less than nothing. The Pharaoh, the usual whipping boy at this time of the year, is again part of the drama. They won't let him rest in peace. Does rabbi Levanon expect another 10 plagues in order to secure Katzav's freedom?. Please let us know so we can prepare and make the gefiltefish ahead for the holidays.
26. Freedom of speach,as long ...
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (03.22.11)
it doesn t harm anybody. Why all those hateful comments?
27. #2 - You are right!
Yitzchak ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (03.22.11)
The settlers ARE being punished for not taking a stronger stance against the Palestinieans and the leftist Netanyahu government!
28. Bonus points for Jack, #24
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (03.22.11)
Jack...on a scale of 1 to 10 for brilliant counterpoints...yours is an 11.
29. Makes sense. In the end your opinions are most certainly
Israeli ,   Israel   (03.22.11)
not better, and he is speaking from his understanding, as you are from yours. Judasim does strive that we ask ourselves why something happens and how we might grow from it. this is one such example. im not religious but i have the most respect for soldier rabbis like this one.
30. How does the "rabbi" explain why something bad may...
Reb L. Yell ,   Carmiel, Israel   (03.23.11)
happen to a good settler?
