1. What part of "illegal" do bleeding hearts not understand?
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (03.24.11)
"retroactively punish them [children] for the government's sin" - What sin would that be, not arresting and deporting the illegals before they had children in Israel?
2. Oz Unit arrests 2 foreign workers, their kids
Robert ,   T.A.   (03.25.11)
We brought this problem on ourselves. We import cheap labor, because no no here would the work. I guess the governments think that people will not have relationships and kids. Wake up they are people, we brought most of them here to do our dirty work. Let them stay. They only add to the diverse culture that thrives here.
3. Y is this even news?
Coco Can ,   Israel   (03.25.11)
You enter any country illegally that country has the right to deport you. It happened to my friend's son who was illegally in England working on the "agalot" (carts selling beauty products from Israel). He was caught the British deported him and now my friend's son isn't allowed to enter Great Britain for 10 years. There was no article in the British newspapers about my friend's son's deportation and there was no outcry in Israel about it either! So if an illegal Israeli can be deported from Great Britain without any media fanfare why can't two illegal Phillipinos and their children be deported from Israel without any media fanfare? Y-net stop with the bleeding heart baloney and realize: Illegal entry into Israel is a punishable offense. The punishment is DEPORTATION back to the country of origin!
4. illegal immigrants

England is being decimated by this lax approach to immigration. Israel is not in Europe and cannot afford this complacency. Wake up Israel, you are surrounded by those that want you dead.
5. we are played for fools by compassonate liberals & illlegals
zionist forever   (03.25.11)
We got bleeding heart liberals here condemning Unit Oz because they arrested a couple of illegals because they had children. When was the last time anybody ever complained when an Israel mother with a young child was arrested because she committed a crime? If they are illegal well thats different. The disturbing thing about this is not the fact they arrested these women but the fact that they are being released. Immigration say they have been here illegally for at least two years but at the same time they will be releasing them. Why are they being released like they just got picked up for jaywalking for something and not deported? Time to start rounding up all these illegals with or without children and deport them. No more attitude of they have cute little children who dress up as soldiers at purim parades so we must let them stay.

I have a friend that was coming to the States with his girl friend to work for the season and before they entered the US they where separated and interrogated and of course the girl fessed up and they where returned to Israel on the next flight. If you over stay your visa or work permit you are illegal.

Where is the heart of Israel Government..did you even know that during the time that your people needs safehaven and place to go on the time of holocaust?FILIPINO people wholeheartedly offer a safe heaven and refuge for EUROPEAN JEWS in the year 1938, that even the FILIPINO people is cared and prayed, and helped them on the persecution of JEWS during NAZI years and extended our brotherly welcome to the JEWISH IMMIGRANTS. More importantly, the PHILIPPINES offered 10,000 visas for EUROPEAN JEWS, and 1200 visas were later issued just before the war. T ake PHILIPPINE government offered them 10,000 visas, how many childrens especially FILIPINOS children who are subject for deportation by now? I am calling you my dear JEWS, to spare us on this issue, for one time the FILIPINO PEOPLE welcome you with open hearts.Pres. Quezon offered employment opportunities and supported the construction of housing community for the JEWS, COMPLETE WITH FARMLAND taken from his own private estate for the refugees used. WHAT A good FILIPINO gesture he did. NOW , MY QUESTION IS, are the FILIPINO CHILDREN STILL PART OF THESE CHILDREN DEPORTATION? Aside from these, from the 33 countries we are only ASIAN NATION, THE PHILIPPINES who voted ISRAEL to become STATE OF ISRAEL….. in that thing that FILIPINO people act for ISRAEL, may we request to your government to please spare Filipino children and all childrens from any deportationprayer.. Did you know that my dear JEWS?

Why should Israel be a dumping ground for two unmarried Filipino women and their illegitimate children? By the way, the Philippines did not gain independence from the United States until 1946. Prior to 1946, therefore, the Philippines was an American possession and, as such, adhered to U.S. policies concerning immigration. To put it rather bluntly, your whole pathetic, weepy story about the Philippines offering safe haven to Jews on the eve of World War II is one great big lie. Have you no shame? Moreover, the Philippines initially voted AGAINST partition in 1947, changing its vote only following the outraged response of the United States. So please cut the crap. Besides, since 2000 the Philippines has voted against Israel a staggering NINETY-FOUR PERCENT of the time. Did you know that, my not-so-dear Filipino?

READ THIS ARTICLE AND SAY SOMETHING ABOUT YOUR NON FACTS IDEA...DID YOU KNOW YOUR HISTORY..NOW I KNOW WHY SOME LIKE YOUR MIND IS ACTING LIKE YOURS.. Saying thank you after 73 years Although story of 1,200 Jews saved by Philippines has never been acknowledged by Yad Vashem, religious educational institution Boys Town Jerusalem thanks ambassador in impressive ceremony. 'Being a Jew is appreciating the good,' says institution's rabbi Gili Mazza Published: 03.17.11, 14:36 / Israel Jewish Scene share A small historic amendment was made Monday, 73 years after Philippine President Manuel Luis Quezon granted some 1,200 visas to immigrants from Europe on the eve of the Holocaust, when a marble engraved sign in his honor was revealed at the Boys Town Jerusalem campus – as an acknowledgement of the humanitarian gesture. Philippine Ambassador to Israel Petronila Garcia received a merit certificate from Josh Weston, chairman of the Boys Town Jerusalem Foundation of America, who arrived for the ceremony especially from the United States. The educational institution's small garden – named after Jan Zwartendijk, a Dutch diplomat who saved thousands of Jews during the Holocaust – is filled with signs commemorating gentiles who risked their lives to save Jews. On Monday they were joined by a sign carrying the name of Philippine President Quezon. Late gesture (Photo: Gili Mazza) "We are the first Asian nation to support the UN decision regarding the State of Israel's establishment. This fateful decision allowed the Jews to establish their own state and decide on the fate of their young country," the ambassador said in Hebrew, surprising the audience, which also included several Foreign Ministry representatives and some 20 UN troops from the Philippines serving on the Israel-Syria border. "They are here, defending Israel," the ambassador said, smiling. 1st synagogue in Philippines In 1939, hundreds of Manila residents took to the streets to protest the persecution of Jews in Europe after Kristallnacht. Later, Manila officially condemned the Nazis, stating that it would grant some 10,000 visas to Jewish immigrants. Ahead of World War II, about 1,200 Jews accepted the generous offer. President Quezon did not settle for that and initiated the construction of homes for the Jewish immigrants, offered them employment solutions and even let them use agricultural land from his own estate. He also founded the first synagogue in Manila, Temple Emil. A photograph of the synagogue was hung Monday at the Boys Town Jerusalem campus' main building, in the ambassador's presence. There she met 80-year-old Ruth Greenfield, who was married in the synagogue and celebrated the bar mitzvah of her two sons there. Brave connection between nations "Being a Jew is appreciating the good," said Rabbi Moshe Linchner, the dean of Boys Town Jerusalem." "Here we educate you, members of the younger generation, to acknowledge the contribution of the courageous Philippine people and a few other nations to the Jewish people. It is in man's nature to forget the good and move on, so 'don't forget' is a supreme value. This is the second site in Israel commemorating the friendship between the Israeli and Philippine people. A special sculpture was inaugurated in Rishon Lezion's Holocaust Park in 2009, describing the mutual humanitarian commitment between the two people through flags, doors and other symbols. Advertisement Despite the humanitarian gesture, the Philippine rescue story has not been properly acknowledged – not even by the Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum. Yad Vashem said in response, "This is a significant act. The way the Jews were welcomed in the Philippines was, unfortunately, a rare event during those times. A Yad Vashem representative attended the Jerusalem event this week, as well as an event honoring the Philippines in Rishon Lezion last year." DID YOU SEE AND READ..

Jones ,   Sydney, Australia   (03.26.11)
The government is fully aware that there are thousands of Filipino workers who have overstayed or violated their visa, deporting them will not help the situation, the government should have at least give them amnesty to extend their visa on compassionate ground because of the children. Those parents are not bunch of criminals but hard working people serving their community doing the low end jobs that the Israeli doesn't want to do, they are trying to earn a living and are happy to work even if the pay is low, sacrificing their lives to support their struggling family back in the Philippines.
