31. #19 - Druze didn't forget THEIR oppression under Arabs
William ,   Israel   (03.25.11)
Apparently, you have. As for the "Palestinians" - they should feel lucky they are only "oppressed" by the Israelis for their racist crimes and terrorism they brought to the world. At the hands of Syrians, Lebanese, Egyptians, Iraqis, Kuwaitis, Emiraties, even Hama, they are treated much worse. Guess it's that horrible "oppression" that has their economy soaring at 13% and places those located in WB 2nd on a full list of other Arab League members in literacy and a longer life expectancy than the Turks! In your lingo (and one not shared by Druze, apparently), keeping a "Palestinian" from murdering a family as they sleep or blowing up a bus full of civilians is not "oppression", and terrorism is not a "Palestinian human right".
32. Protesting about the Golan? Sounds fishy
William ,   Israel   (03.25.11)
This sounds like instigation from the outside. Protesters spent a week getting shot because they were protesting the lack of freedom, inequality, lack of jobs.... then suddenly the Golan is the issue. yeah...right!
33. The Golan Heights.
Sam M ,   UK   (03.25.11)
Returning the Golan Heights to Syria would be potentially suicidal. In a future war against Israel, Iranian troops will arrive in Syria by air and also by sea via the naval base currently under construction by Iran in Latakia which will include an Iranian revolutionary guards weapons depot intended as logistical infrastructure to provide for incoming Iranian troops. For all the current talk about the importance of the Golan to Israel's security a weak Israeli government may try to play for time on the Israel/palestine front by advocating it's 'return' to syria. This will be backed, of course, by worthless assurances from the 'international community' and may come sooner than expected given the chaos reigning in the arab world. In the eyes of the radical islamists all Israelis are 'settlers' and no international agreements or 'peace treaties' will change this perception.
34. Truly deraanged! LOL!

36. Being a Druze, I am proud to be a citizen of Israel. I am
Naim ,   Israel   (03.25.11)
yet to identify a single country in the world, including all the Arab countries, in which I would be as free to be a human being and a member of my Druze society as I do in Israel. May be some of Israel's bashers out there should come to this country to appreciate what I am talking about. Sure, Israel has problem, internal and external. But, which country doesn't?

a country like syria may have been in possession of the golan. however, according to international law and the law of war, the aggressor starting a war on israel is not entitled to set the terms of the final aggreement when they started the war and then lost it. syria started a war of aggression against israel without any reason, but hate. israle is entitled to keep land captured in that war and to the winner goes the spoils. this is written in every interantional law book that has to do with the outcome of wars of aggression against an innocent nation that didn't start it or provoke it.

thank you naim for telling it like it is. the truth. and you are mostly appreciated in israel amongst the jews. your is a religion of peace, of humanity and of tolerance. i love the druze people. they are wonderful, family oriented, peaceful and great contributors to their country. thanks you very much for saying hat you said. druze as a people are loved, respected and appreciated in israel. they are part of all of us.
39. Wow...
Abed ,   Nazareth, Israel   (03.25.11)
As an Arab I am deeply concerned for the priorities of the Arab world. The whole middle east is burning in revolution. In Syria alone there is economic stagnation and unrest. But what really matters is the Golan? Do you have any idea how many countries that border Syria are currently in control of what used to be Syrian territory? Turkey, Iraq... They never would have lost it had they not been aggressors and war mongerers.
40. Naim #36 and we reciprocate the feeling
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (03.25.11)
We too are proud of our Druze citizens. A more loyal Israeli cannot be found. Yes we have problems here, together we have made a better place for our families. Tomorrow I hope that it will be better for all Israelis.
41. #22; Sharon, It's Sad isn't it?
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (03.25.11)
The male Arab ego is so deflated they have to humiliate and degrade their women. They have to maintain total control over their women, because they're afraid they may run off with another guy. Man, you talk about insecurity, these guys are the epitome of insecurity. Frankly how else can they keep a women, it's not like they're any fun to be with. Their girls would leave them in a New York minute, once they see how a real man treats his women. With respect and trust, I've always had better things to do than worry about whose looking at my girlfriend. In fact I like it, because I know she's hanging with me, and the others can only dream about her. But these guys want to kill their women, for nothing. They truly are a backward, insecure group of jealous punks.
42. And never give up on Golan!!!!
Y ,   N   (03.26.11)
43. Liberate Golan...
Rafi ,   Montreal, Canada   (03.26.11)
This is indeed a good one...The Arab leaders should tell you that it is when they were not cowards and invaded Israel in 1967, the Golan was the price they paid for their bravery..the same as for the Sinai, Gaza and the West bank... Israel never invaded "their" territory...it was them who decided to gamble it and lost it...now what do you want them to put on the table?...Damascus?...which was within spiting distance of the Israeli Armed Forces in 1967? Go for it...be brave..you have more territory than you need anyway!...and more blood to gamble too..or this is not considered a worthwhile gamble...life being so cheap there.
44. Just in case anyone has forgotten
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (03.26.11)
The last time Syria tried to Liberate the Golan, it almost cost them Damascus Israel was only about 18 km away from the Syrian Capital, when Syria begged the UN to call off the IDF, before it conquered Damascus There are plenty of testimonials as to what occurred, hundreds of destroyed Syrian tanks & artillery litter the Golan Any of you PRO-WAR posters can volunteer for tank duty, just make sure you wear your dog tags so that your remains can be identified
45. #6 And you think Israel is just going to sit
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (03.26.11)
and take it Rememberwhat happened to Lebanon in the last war, it was half destroyed Next war, there goes the rest !!
46. #19 World Citizen - Must you display your
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (03.26.11)
Ignorance so publicly ? The Druze religion, if you had the wits to look instead of yammering your constant flow of nonsense You would have learned that one of the main tenets of the religion is to be loyal to the country the reside in You, as a pseudo "World Citizen" have allegiance to no one; the best you are capable of is displaying profound ignorance and bias An empty drum makes a lot of noise, you're the proof !! I’ve asked ties question before, all I received in return was an empty silence Which of the World Governments that you pretend to represent, ISSUED YOUR PASSPORT ??
47. #29 David - Both sides have arms
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (03.26.11)
When are you going to pick up yours: ? You have a choice, Syrian AK-47's or Israel M-16's, just remember the life you take could very well be your own
48. #5 what do you mean find an enemy ?? israel has always been
masrawy ,   egypt   (03.26.11)
our enemy that never changed and it never will
49. #48' Masrawy you Egyptians live in a garbage can...
Ariel   (03.26.11)
just because of your racial hate to jews, that is only based in the Koran, jealousy and envy. Israel is an enemy only in your sick minds. Your real enemy are your fellow muslims (shiites) that from teh beginning of the Islam are killing sunnis. Your real enemies is fammine, your dicatorships, poor education, poor sewage, lack of water, no economic developement (middle ages economy and oil dependence in rich arab countries). Still, thank you for selling gas with which we cook our dinner.
50. no. 48 this is why you will never have democracy and freedom
(03.26.11)
you Arabs are too busy being violent and making enemies for no reason yeah, you claim this or the other but this is only a pretext to justify your wicked character, rotten society, lack of civility and aggressiveness
51. masrawy egypt
Daniela   (03.26.11)
you, arab world so big, decided that the small Israel is your enemy, but for your information Israel is nobody 's enemy, it doesn't want to be anybody's enemy. Israel responds to all your attacks. As Egypt Siria Libanon and the other countries exist , Israel has the right to exist as well, do you understand? If you don't accept it it is your problem
52. #48; masrawy, Israel Really helped your...
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (03.26.11)
Country during this period of no conflict. That must really have bothered you? Since you hate Israel so much, what was your feeling about Israeli technology turning around your agriculture Industry? Egypt tried to keep it a secret, but the truth came out about two years ago. How did you and your feel about? That it was Israeli innovation...the same used in Israel...was taught to your farmers and the technology purchased from Israel. Did that annoy you? Having to ask your "enemy", for help to feed your people? Even the computer your using now has Israeli technology!!
53. To: No. 48
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.26.11)
Okay. Fair statement. I am certain that it will be such a lovely mantra for you and the rest of your country when Israel takes back Sinai. Better you should concentrate on not losing the Suez Canal, too.
54. Masawry, just think
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (03.27.11)
If you're stupid enough to start another war, one of the first things to be eliminated would be the Suez Canal, resulting in the loss of half of Egypts income As a result, you would find yourself living in one of the cemeteries already crowded with Egyptians that are living among the dead, because they can't afford housing for the living I don't really think you personally would notice the difference, since you're dead fromt he neck up anyways
