31. #3 Salma - There was no peace before
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (03.27.11)
the Occupation Lest you forget, you never did answer the questions that would have justified your claim, it's so unlike you to keep your yap shut Can you show me what the so-called "Palestinian's" are basing their claim on, they haven't be able to Have a go at it, come up with just a two or three answers in their behalf When was the country of Palestine founded and by whom? Where did the Palestinian people originate from? What were Palestine's borders? Who were its neighbors? What language did the Palestinians speak? What writing did they use? What manuscripts or records did they leave whether written or engraved? What was their religion? Where are their temples? What monuments attest to their existence? What was the name of their capital? Name its other major cities
32. #12 Rael - Grab a towel
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (03.27.11)
You're all wet It's the Muslim desire for a Caliphate that's causing the problems Look at what's going on in Syria, Yemen, Sudan, Libya, Bahrain, Afghanistan among other Arab countries, where there's no Jewish population for you to blame it on. By all means, let's not forget Iraq, Pakistan, which don't have Jewish populations either Look under your own bed, it all full of your own nits Be a nice fellow, name the last three rulers of your fictional Palestine, as in the History books How come the Koran doesn't mention Palestine even once ?
33. DEEP THOUGHTS
UNCLE JOE ,   USA   (03.27.11)
ihave a solution for the israeli palestinian problem. i think it all has to do with ducks, i meant doves.IF WE CHANGE THE PEACE SYMBOL FROM THE DOVE TO THE PILLOW,IT'LL HELP ALOT BECAUSE THE PILLOW IS FLUFFIER ,HAS GOT A LOT MORE FEATHERS AND EVEN MORE PEACEFUL THAN MR DOVE . AND THE SECOND AND EVEN DEEPER AND MORE PROFOUND THOUGHT is the following ; IF ISRAEL CAN DESIGN AND DEVELOP CANNONS THAT WOULD FIRE SWIDISH MEATBALLS AND FALAFEL BALLS AT THE PALESTINIANS INSTEAD OF ''HURTFUL BOMBS'' THAN THEY WILL HAPPIER AND WILL HAVE SOMETHING TO EAT IN MANY MANY YEARS .AND THEN WE WILL ALL LIVE VERY VERY HAPPILY TOGETHER FOREVER . YOU SEE , VOILA ET C'EST TOUS MON AMOUR . BY THE WAY I'LL ADMIT THAT THESE VERY VERY PROFOUND THOUGHTS DID NOT COME FROM ME .THEY CAME FROM BOTH BARAKS ,YEHUD AND BARACK .O . by the way ,does anyone know where i can get some more libyan HALLUCINATION PILLS .AND THANK YOU .

36. the Palestinian problem
Alexander ,   NJ USA/Israel   (03.27.11)
The Palestinians believe that Israel as the Jewish state has no right to exist and it has no right to defend her citizens from the Palestinians. Until the Palestinians change and realize that Jews have as much right to Palestine as any of them we can't support any Palestinian state.
37. A la guerre comme a la guerre
Greg ,   Boston, USA   (03.27.11)
If at war, Israel can as well win it and establish real peace, like allies did it in WWII - by breaking enemy's will to fight. These days you don't need to nuke or carpet-bomb Pals, like US did it in the past. At the very minimum, the first step to force enemy unconditional capitulation is to outlaw and kill under war time emergency rules several thousands known terrorist supporters and enablers, starting with their leaders.
38. #2 Steve from Silver Bay MN
Howard ,   USA   (03.27.11)
There is no such thing as the native Palestinians as they are no different from there brethern in Jordan and Syria(countries both created by the euro trash). These Arabs became Palestinians as a result of a media makeover in 1967. The majority of these "Palestinians" moved to the area as a result of the Jews opening up opportunities as they rebuilt what was once a vast open wasteland that was neglected for centuries.By the way are you ready to turn over your house and the state of MN to the native Americans who were forced off THEIR land where you now live?I doubt it.Learn some history and you won't have to sound like an uneducated moron spouting leftist lies and anti semitc drivel.

TO SALAMI, HAVE YOU BEEN TAKING LIBYAN HALLUCINATION PILLS . YOU ARE ALWAYS WRONG JUST LIKE THE NOTES INSIDE CHINESE COOKIES
40. intifada
hala ,   jerusalem   (03.27.11)
in arabic it means sudden shiffering always it has a cause as cold or sharp pain or in general there is no equation so it needs justification sure in palastinian intifadas there is justification to ocupation but to israil it means violence or terror and think it needs justification once by summer rain other by cast lead and so on ... sure it is illusional justification it needs to remove the cause violence is not the cause of intifada but it is ocupation
41. stop the occupation
L’joz ,   Jerusalem   (03.27.11)
If you don't like the intifada stop the occupation.
42. Israel is against law
observer ,   Egypt   (03.27.11)
no single country doesn't recognize west bank and gaza as occupied. struggle for freedom is it.
43. international force
observer   (03.27.11)
In March 2001, the United States vetoed a United Nations Security Council resolution that would have backed the creation of an international observer force to help protect civilians in the West Bank and Gaza. In his testimony to the Winograd Commission, Olmert said he had asked the head of the National Security Council to study the issue of international forces. He was not only referring to Lebanon, or only to Gaza, but to all the territories - including the West Bank in particular and possibly even the Golan as well. With the Hamas takeover of Gaza, the idea of international forces might sound good to many Israelis. Why should Israeli soldiers die in Gaza if European troops are ready to do so instead? Italy and Spain have already volunteered to send troops to Gaza, though they did not push the idea too ardently. Not only Lieberman, in 2007, but also two MKs of the Meretz Party, Avshalom Vilan and Zehava Gal'on, have prepared a detailed plan centering on the dispatch of international forces to Gaza and inviting the Arab League to take Gaza under its auspices.
44. #22 Leon re-invents the English language
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (03.27.11)
To call your comments logical is laughable. Before 1967 the Arabs in Gaza and the west bank weren't even called "Palestinians" - they were Arabs. Before 1948 the term "Palestinian" generally meant the Jews who lived there. The "Palestinians" have no "legitimate right" to kill Israeli civilians. They are committing war crimes - and it's Goldstone who said so, not me. Go back to school, Leon. Your pseudo-facts make you look like a marxist-leninist trhowback.
45. Mr. asaf
Samy ,   NY   (03.27.11)
Until when Mr. asaf is going to exploit the Jews for his own gains. People need to wake up and see this phony for what he rely is. Using Jews Pain to make a name for himself. Just like his teacher Daniel Pipe. Please stay in phily, and shut the hill up.
46. Salma and others
Harvey ,   London   (03.27.11)
Give us a break with the settlements are the root of all evil b s&£@ There was no occupation and no settlements prior to 1967 so what was the excuse for Palestinian terror murder and mayhem - sorry intifada - back then. Don't try to figure an answer You won't succeed If you want a solution recognise israel Renounce terrorism Start to create instead of destroy Develop the infrastructure which can lead to statehood Develop an economy which will lead to prosperity and join with israel to develop an economic power house In the middle east Unfortunately I don't see any of this happening in my life time You are simply intent on playing the eternal martyr card and thus perpetuate the misery for both people
47. Occupation?
Gabriel ,   Jerusalem   (03.27.11)
All of the things that are written in the comments that are related to occupation are actually related to DEFENSE. The patrols, checkpoints and all other measures were applied to protect innocent civilians (on both sides of the fence). As soon as decent people rule over all Palestine and actually controls its people and maintains order without the need to use Israel as their justifications for their own inabilities to rule, we shall be able to obtain peace. I mean, REALLY, guys, you didn't understood what happened in Egypt or Tunisia - if you really did, Hammas should be the one shaking right now with the revolution of the Palestinian people looking for LIBERTY. Stop with your lies that Israel is occupying Palestine. As if you cannot do whatever you want? Because of Israel? Take Hammas out of power and start talking peace and not occupation and destruction. It seems like your foolish desire for revenge/respect will lead to more and more suffering, specially if your forces continue to attack/target Israel and its civilians.
48. 'palestinians'
Sam M ,   UK   (03.27.11)
'Palestinians' are culturally and ethnically indistinguishable from other arabs in neighbouring countries. The real 'nakba' was in the 1960s when your arab leaders invented a new people 'the palestinians' and successfully passed them off as the 'indigenous inhabitants' of the Jewish homeland. The term 'palestinians' had up to this point historically belonged to the Jewish people who were widely acknowledged as the original inhabitants of palestine. The hypocritical members of the European Union place great importance on protecting the legal status of regionally produced foods such as 'parma ham' by giving 'european protected name status' to prevent other producers using the same name. On this basis the descendants of european settlers who moved to America could not be described as 'red indians' ditto in Australia where they would not be accepted as aborigines. Far from being 'occupied' you are squatting in a country that historically never belonged to you. You already have jordan which is the real palestinian homeland in all but name with over 80% of it's population of palestinian origin and consisting of 77% of the original Palestine Mandate originally promised to the Jewish people. Your real agenda is to have a palestinian state in the west bank where no Jews would be allowed to live while also demanding the return of all palestinian refugees and their descendants numbering several million to settle within Israel's pre-1967 borders in order to demographically destroy the Jewish state. It 's never going to happen. Get over it!
49. #34, actually no
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (03.27.11)
That is like saying that French or Soviet forces invaded Germany in 1944. In 1967, Egypt violated International Law, the cease-fire agreements of 1948 and 1956 and started a war by massing forces on Israel's then borders and closing the Tiran Straits to Israeli shipping. As the war started, Israel sent desperate messages to Jordan asking that they not attack. Jordan responded by shelling Jewish civilian population with their artillery. What you are really complaining about is that the Arabs started every single Arab-Israeli war with the purpose of genocide, and lost. Sad, just sad.
50. To: No. 42
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.27.11)
Actually, international law recognizes Israel's absolute hegemony over the West Bank. As to Gaza -- well, we handed it back. Stuff you.
51. Yea yea, sure sure "stop the occupation"
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (03.27.11)
blah blah blah yadda yadda yadda If the Palestinians wanted a 2-state solution, they'd go to the peace talks. However, we all know that Hamas doesn't want peace with Israel, let alone peace talks. We all know that Hamas and Fatah are totally incapable of kissing and making up. Ain't gonna happen this year or next. So we all know that the Palestinians won't and can't hold elections - their own fault, not Israel's. So we all know that since the Palestinians can't make peace with themselves, can't sign a peace treaty if they wanted to, and can't even become democratic if they wanted to - there's no way they can go back to the peace talks in order to "stop the occupation". So, instead, of course, they'll blame it all on Israel and pretend that they aren't their own worst enemy.

55. #52 what is the connection?
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (03.27.11)
What does R2P have to do with peace in Israel which is a temporary measure? In the long run, some solution will have to be found for the century old Muslim imperialism and colonisation of Israel. One solution, advocated by Hamas and seadog1946 call for the immediate physical extermination of every Jew. Another, advocated by the Saudi Apartheid state, Salma and Yariv Oppenheimer is ethnic cleansing of Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem of Jews, followed by unlimited Arab immigration into what is left for the Jews, followed by genocide. The "Jordan" crowd as you call them can be divided into three. The first say that the Arabs don't need so many failed states, one is enough. The British puppet ruling Jordan is returned to his homeland in Saudi Arabia, Judea and Samaria are surrendered to Jordan as the homeland of all the Arab "refugees". The second say that Judea and Samaria remain part of Israel, Arab "refugees" who are not welcome in the Arab countries where they are now be allowed to settle in Jordan, and any Arab in Israel (including Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem) who does not want to live under Israeli rule moves to Jordan. The third say that the solution used to solve the Turkish/Greek or Czech/German problem be used: all Arabs living in Israel move to Jordan. I am against this approach as it is unfair to Christian Arabs who will be slaughtered by the Muslims as well as unfair to good peace-loving Muslim Arabs. By the way, what is your comment on Obama's continuing occupation of Afghanistan or illegal regime-change in Libya, both where Americans are killing countless Arab civilians?

57. #55 - Muslim imperialism and colonization?
seadog1946 ,   InTransit, USA   (03.27.11)
but sir... The lands of kingdom of David were devoid of Jews for several millenia... after the Romans stuck a gladius where the sun doesn't shine the Pharisees and their whelp gladly left the land of milk and honey in pursuit of goyischer gelt. Instead of whining about "next year in Jerusalem", what stopped the "chosen" people from buying passage on vessel bound for the backwaters of the Levant and the lost lands of the kingdom of David?
