of Bedouin loyalty to the state. They are known for their bravery,Fierce fighters and unmatched tracking ability to boot.Wish Major Salah every good health.
5. Traitor Bedoiun
ali   (03.27.11)
He should change his Arab name into a Hebrew name. Any bedoiun or druze who serves in army should change their Arab names and not practice Arab culture. We disown them. Israel disowned MK Bishara for being loyal to Arabs.
6. Hey poor Bedouin, take care of your both arms in next war!
Salma ,   Palestine   (03.27.11)
"victory of mind over body" reminds me of a suicide bombers belief!! We have learned to love Palestine through our mothers' milk.
7. Bravo!
Gary ,   USA   (03.27.11)
Major Al-Heib, I salute from the USA. You are a hero. God Bless you.
8. Dude...
palestinian   (03.27.11)
For the Israelis and Mr Netanyahu, this is not your homeland. You're here as foreigner to the land and they have to deal with this "unwanted" fact....
9. #6
mark ,   ca   (03.27.11)
"...through our mothers' milk..." ..most likely snake poison.:-)))
10. Salah Al-Heib
citizen   (03.27.11)
You are an extraordinary human being. If you are reading these talkbacks, ignore the nasty comments made by stupid losers. Your inner strength and sheer determination to overcome losing both legs, and return to active duty, is admirable and deserves our greatest respect. You bring honor to your family, tribe and Am Israel.
11. words cannot do justice
jared ,   toronto, canada   (03.27.11)
for how remarkable a person you are! I teared when I read what you've gone through and how you feel about Israel despite all of its problems. May g-d protect you and give you strength all the days of your life. Sending you all the prayers I can offer a person.
12. Major Falah Al-Heib - I salute you sir
Talula ,   Israel   (03.27.11)

14. #6 to the palestinian
James ,   Kent UK   (03.27.11)
Correct me if I'm wrong but wasnt Jerusalem the capital of the jews more than a thousand years before mohamed or christ If you live in Israel , you are a guest , behave accordingly
15. #5Ali-Salah's100% Israeli & 100% Arab
David N ,   Haifa, Israel   (03.27.11)
MK Bishara was not disowned for being an Arab, loving his own culture or people, don't forget. He was disowned because of his cavorting with disctators who vowed the distruction of Israel. Get real. An Arab should have the freedom to be loyal to Israel, and be as Arab as he so chooses. YOU just don't like it, that's all!
16. Too bad Jewish leftists don't have Salah's love of Israel.
Chaim ,   Israel   (03.27.11)
Imagine if Jewish leftists at Peace Now, Machsom Watch, Breaking The Silence, Labor, Meretz and other loathesome Israel bashing organizations had Salah's love of Israel. Such disgusting organizations would not exist if Israeli leftists loved Israel. Thankfulyl, Labor and Meretz appear to be imploding. It is unfortunate that so much hatred of Israel is generated by Jewish Israeli leftists. Foreign Jew haters crib their hateful material from Haaretz and other leftist rags and organizations. It's time Israel developed treason laws with teeth and the determination to enforce them.
17. You bring to tears of joy
Dov ,   USA   (03.27.11)
You are a man that will bring peace. Best of life to you.
18. Ali, Salma, palestinian and suitors
Yossef   (03.27.11)
you are so wrong ! Something here seems to be over your understanding. Don't you see that this is the future of Israel ? Major Falah Al-Heib is already my brother. What he did for Israel, I am ready to do it for him, and as I see this talkback, not just me. He is a part of the state of Israel as much as any other israeli, not less, maybe even a little bit more thanks to his sacrifice. I wish him to recover completely and to have a long life, enjoying his family and kids.
19. #14 we are all guests on the planet.
Dov ,   USA   (03.27.11)
You will have to leave one day to idiot. Major Falah Al-Heib he is at home.
20. Dear Salah
Maurice ,   Montreal   (03.27.11)
I was deeply moved by your story. You are an example of heroism, courage, determination, and true patriotism. Ignore the "snake" tongues criticizing you here, as they are impressed only by evil, and they are waaaay below yourself as far as human potential is concerned. I will soon be traveling to Israel for a month. What a pleasure and honor it would be to meet you in person!
21. #12 INCREDIBLE PEOPLE
LAWRENCE ,   SAFED ISRAEL   (03.27.11)
Yes he is Talula Bankhead.
22. to 5
(03.27.11)
the best in this story that he did not loose hislife so he had to tell his story and had rehabe but if he would passe he had no rehab department no chance to tell story but maybe not in hell ... who knows
23. To Salma, Ali, etc.
Howard Immanuelson ,   US   (03.27.11)
I have to laugh when I read the "you're not a native" lines. Even a tiny bit of research shows that the vast majority of "Palestinians" are not only NOT native to the land, most of their ancestors arrived in the very late 1800s and early 1900s, AFTER Jews had returned in large numbers. Propaganda aside, most "Palestinians" have little history on the land.
24. Great article
Steve (not 'steve') ,   USA   (03.27.11)
I had at one point a Druze platoon commander. He was loved and respected by us all (Jewish soldiers). Major Al-Heib sounds like an officer that will always have the love and respect of his men and his country. His legacy will continue with his children just as he followed in his father's brave footsteps. Wishing him and his family the best and a speedy return to his new duties.. A Zionist! A true Israeli.
25. 6 salma
alsky ,   toronto   (03.27.11)
you have also learned to hate the jews/zionists from your mother's milk
26. Best wishes to you Salah
Cynthia ,   USA   (03.27.11)
I've heard legendary stories about Bedouin trackers in Israel and you raise the bar. I'm sure you'll make an excellent instructor and have a bright future. Thank you!
27. good man
jake   (03.27.11)
28. TO ONE REAL HERO!!!
les ,   canada   (03.27.11)
MAJOR FALAH AL-HEIB. T H A N K Y O U!!!
29. What the folks like salma and Ali cant
Barney ,   Usa   (03.27.11)
Understand or are afraid to admit is that there are many Arabs and druZe that love Israel and would rather live under Israeli rule than under the cruel backward totalitarian Arab regimes.kind of blows up their whole Jews are terrible idea.the relationship between Israel and these Arabs and Druze is reciprocal and the love and respect is mutual, for the salmas the hate and disrespect is also mutual
30. Major Al Heib.......
mags ,   israel   (03.27.11)
I salute you, you are such an amazing example, a true hero and human being. May you and your family be blessed with all the good things you deserve. Thank you for your courage and watching over me, a civilian of the country we both love. I feel safe to put my life in the hands of you and your fellow brave soldiers.
