and get people into public transport. Lower the accident murder rates on the roads, chill people by lowering the stress level and upgrade the bus fleet along with a light rail network. Its a win win...For all those shvitzers who like to pretend, take away the tax allowance on private transport and make them pay. Discourage the practice of car allowances to employees by charging a tax benefit to both the employeee and employer. Give the tax benefit for the employer should he/she provide public transport for his her employees. Israel is a tiny country...public transport should be the priority

You obviously live in a city. Your food and water come from the country. We should put those bills up by 40%. If i took public transport to work I'd be four hours late and on my way home after two hours. Your mind is a tiny country....thinking should be a priority.
4. gas prices

Price of fuel is a real burden for my friends who live in the Galil. Maybe Tel Avivians and New Yorkers can get along without a car, but a lot of people can't.

Of course public transport WOULD be the way to go if Israel had decent public transport. The trains are incredibly expensive and the buses are very inconvinient. So until the public transportation is upgraded, there is no way to get to work without owning a car.
