1. Haaretz newspaper as co-conspirator
mike ,   ta   (03.28.11)
The entire Haaretz editorial team should be indicted and tried as well.
2. bunch of talk and hogwash
chaim ,   jones alabama   (03.28.11)
to hell with her
3. Twit.
Israelit ,   Israel   (03.28.11)
She should be in jail.
4. If she were hung by the government, then
jason white ,   afula, israel   (03.28.11)
maybe she would receive what she deserves. She should serve as an example to what the fate of traitors should be. Both she and the reporter put the lives of both soldiers and civilians in danger.
5. She's not a radical
Victor ,   USA   (03.28.11)
She made a bad choice, an arrogant choice, without thinking it through. It happens to all of us, especially when we're young, although for most of us it's a bad choice about profession or relationships, not disclosing state secrets. This has been a sobering experience for her. I think a minimal jail term is in order (1 year or less).
6. Okay, she knows that she was a dork. Give her a couple of...
Scott ,   USA   (03.28.11)
years in a prison laundry and improve the army's internal security procedures -- NO CD BURNERS OR USB PORTS IN OFFICE COMPUTERS!
7. ignorance of the left
Mark Bernadiner ,   Pearland, USA   (03.28.11)
US occupies American Indian land and put them in concentration camps "RESERVATIONS"; Auestralian occupy aborigen land, Newzealanders - miory land, Britons - Argentinian Falklands; Turkey - Cyprus. Her educatuion in Israel history is garbage, possibly, from Israeli schools. This is the root of the problem.
8. lost in an alternate reality
citizen   (03.28.11)
From this article, and the recent TV interview, she comes across as totally devoid of a moral compass. The interview was surreal - not an ounce of understanding or shame. She sounds sick and in need of psychiatric help, how else can you explain: ''It isn't a nice feeling, the espionage charge, but it has little relevance and there were two important soccer matches yesterday. I can't say that my mind wasn't in the courtroom, but the pressure ahead of the games diverted my mind."
9. "I didn't understand how big it was."
meira ,   TA   (03.28.11)
Then why steal it, and why did she contact Haaretz? This lady is a liar.
10. #6, do you think...
Dan the Jafa ,   Auckland,New Zealand   (03.28.11)
that the same sentiment should be applied to one Jonathan Jay Pollard? Nah, Mrs Kam should rot in jail for a long long time. At least as Iong as Mr. Pollard. I am sure you bunch of "no clemency for treason" americans will agree with this sentiment.
11. High intelligence & "she didn't realize" -lousy excuses
ab   (03.28.11)
She revealed details of IDF battleplans ,continency routines, supply locations, everything of utmost importance for Syria and Hezbollah. Uri Blau of "Haaretz" spent months with all of this in London ,British Intelligency has certainly acquired it somehow-and equally certainly passed on to Iranians or Syrians. She had stated before in "Haaretz" she was a"whistleblower and whistleblowers tend to be forgiven" .There should be no forgiveness for this treason, comparable to Marcus Klingenberg betrayal and most probably much more serious
12. missing the point
Jeff ,   Chicago, USA   (03.28.11)
This girl really isn't the main point here... what she did was extremely dumb and I don't think many people really deny that. The main thing to be concerned about is "how is a country that can write computer code to covertly shut down another country's entire nuclear program apparently also not capable of preventing someone from burning classified military information onto a CD-ROM?" Get your eye on the ball, jeez...
13. What's the difference between
David ,   On this planet   (03.28.11)
Anat Kamm and Wanunu. They are both traitors. One spent all his life in Jail the other is sitting home watching soccer. Is it because she votes for Meretz???
14. My compliments
Fanya Kaplan   (03.28.11)
Ms. Fishbein, my compliments, a very good interview. And Ms. Kam? Her actions did not endanger any Israeli nor did they give any material advantage to Israel's enemies. A long jail sentence would be more in keeping with the cries for revenge than the rule of law.
15. #5 Can't buy that
Joe Cone ,   USA   (03.28.11)
Where did the CD go and the Information someone got it who? If Pollard can stay in years in Jail for basically doing the same thing then she can and must. Who in addition to Uri Blau is guilty and why? Where did the info go?
16. She represents ...
Jules   (03.28.11)
... a result of the havoc that Yossi Sarid and his likes created in the school system.
17. #4 are you so bloodthirsty this evening?
just asking   (03.28.11)
that the blood of a young and very ignorant woman will do?
18. I think that #4 solution should be applied to Pollard
moi ,   ici   (03.28.11)
19. #16 but she went to school while Ms. Limor Livnat was
(03.29.11)
minister of education! So how is this Yossi Sarid's fault? After all we all know exactly how well and carefully Ms. Livnat worked on the Israeli educational system...by now with so many years of Likud at the helm of the educational ministry its all fixed! (not) so really stop with your ridiculous blather
20. # 19
Jules   (03.29.11)
Likud never (until now) had enough time to clean up the school programs of the post-zionist rubbish. For example, only now the true history of the country and the Jewish nation, including the actual participation of the Jews in the WW2, begins to reach the kids' minds.
21. Anat Kam
leah amdur ,   Jerusalem Israel   (03.29.11)
Anat Kam is the brain washed indoctrinated product of her History Professor. He should be going to jail. Israel has legislation to investigate the funding of left wing organisations. The should be legislation curbing left wing anti Israel professors who breed traitors like Kam
22. Anat Kam
leah amdur ,   Jerusalem Israel   (03.29.11)
Anat Kam is the product of Shulamit Aloni who removed Torah from the schools. A whole generation of chiloni children have grown up who do not have Jewish values. Once they leave school they go to University and are further indoctrinated to hate Jews by their left wing history professors
23. BUSHA!
Paul ,   NYC   (03.29.11)
What a tool! ! She should be a shame of her acts and her causing so much pain for her parents, people that loves her and just regular citizens of Israel. My self and others, can proudly say that we would spit on her now and and 20 years after she will get out of jail!
24. The one key.
Li ,   USA   (03.29.11)
There is no question whatsoever that her intentions were moral and had nothing to do with security. Her case is entirely different from "espionage" and more along the lines of a youthful adventure of the kind most people engage in.
25. she betrayed her people let her pay and include Haaretz
Lou Adams   (03.29.11)
Putting the citizens of your country at risk in the asymmetrical war that Israel is forced to fight is just as damning as betrayal in a military battle. The world is closing in on Israel because Israelis like her are ignorant of the consequences of their actions on the international stage. Of course this goes double for the Israel hating haaretz quislings.
26. on #1, mike
joel ,   usa   (03.29.11)
such suggestion sounds logical and factual, Haaretz is seemingly anti israel admin, whom this ms. kam may have sympathizers?
27. on #12, jeff
joel ,   usa   (03.29.11)
yeah, she is a woman and can use her "charms" to charmed those officers to get what she was instructed to get from the military; she is a spy, if you please?
28. ANAT, YOU PLAY THE DUMB VIRGIN SO WELL
Eran ,   Singapore   (03.29.11)
Its time you come to your senses with your "exceptional" intelligence. You will need it when you are injail
29. Sometimes conscience
Sagi   (03.29.11)
dictates actions. This is what happened here. She is highly intelligent, she is not extreme left, she is not a spy, she had no intention of causing damage to the State. She was a victim of circumstances created by the reality in which we live, these circumstances came into direct conflict with her conscience and her conscience won the day. It has happened before and it will happen again. Prison will not help her or us and it most certainly will not deter others who will experience the same internal conflict with themselves. I am far from being leftist and I also understand that Israel has no other option, but I also know that subjugation of one by another can destroy one's soul. She is a victim. This is my opinion and not in anyway am I trying to make excuses for her or suggest that we end the "occupation".
30. To #17 and #18
jason white ,   afula, israel   (03.29.11)
#17-She is supposed to be intelligent. She took info that was not hers to take and gave it to someone who is more on the side of the enemy than our side. She had no right to place the lives of Israeli soldiers and civilians in danger. #18- Why pick on Pollard? Because he is Jewish and gave us information that the U.S. was supposed to share with us? How about the Walker family, two brother and the son of one that sold satilite information to the soviet union for money? They were all in the U.S.Navy.They were caught after Pollard, convicted, served their time and are out, Pollard is still in. Kam endangered our security by giving information to a hostile to Israel group(the ha'aretz rag). She should have been hung along with blau. The ha'aretz should be closed and the owners, editors and management jailed for life.
