Secular Turkey is Gone Forever. Even if Turkey had a military coup tomorrow, the changes that Erdogan, the AKP and his govt have made to the judiciary, the courts, educational system and constitutional referendum are simple irreversible. Like how western Europeans are outbred by muslim immigrants, the Kemalist secular cities in Turkey…Istanbul, Izmir, Antalya, they are rapidly outbred by devout fanatical muslims. I went to Ankara and I was in shock during my last visit. I saw more women in headscarves in Turkey than in Beirut or Cairo.
