1. Now, don't jump to conclusions!
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (03.30.11)
Women do miluim, too. And any non-Jewish soldier who does miluim is welcome to attend. For the record, universities throughout the United States hold concert and other specialized events that target specialized audiences to the exclusion of others. Stop putting Israel under a microscope. Why does Israel have to be a lab rat when exclusionary practices for special events and concerts positively abound at universities throughout the world?
2. fire her abd take away all rights to pension, health care

3. don't know, but in USA, soilders get
Larry ,   Los Angeles   (03.30.11)
IN the USA, the soilders who returned from the WWII got the GI Bill. The government saw fit to honor those who put their live on the line for the sake of the country. Here the anarchists make a stink and no one shuts them up, rather these stinking anarchists and leftists tell us that it is fitting that only those who hate the state deserve honor.
4. Hmm, there goes her tenure
factsconfuse   (03.30.11)
5. I hate to say it
Moshe R ,   New York   (03.30.11)
But I agree with that professor... It's ok to show appreciation of the soldiers, but they are using college property for the concert, and everyone should be invited.
6. Careful Moishe
babawawa ,   new york, usa   (03.30.11)
College campuses, especially here in the US, often let out halls for special events where not everyone is invited. You are wrong to believe that just because college property is used, everyone has the right to attend.
7. Chill out Rebecca
Cynthia ,   USA   (03.30.11)
These people put their life on the line for you. Go to the concert and show your respect. If that's too much to ask, say home and let others enjoy the event.
8. The 'lecturer' can go to....someplace south...
Enough   (03.30.11)
9. March 30th! Today is Buy Israeli Goods Day
(03.30.11)
March 30th! Today is Buy Israeli Goods Day Where EVER u live BUY ISRAELI GOODS and tell the store manager thank you for selling these wonderful products made in Israel! B.I.G. :)
10. Actually, this protest will insure that the
Robert Haymond ,   Israel/Canada   (03.30.11)
lecturer in question will obtain fulltime employment with BGU and perhaps a promotion. Remember, this is BGU, the home of David Newman (Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences) and Neve Gordon, (Associate Professor of Political Science), promoted under Professor Newman's patronage. For further information on the anti Israeli critiques and activities against the state of Israel by academicians, go to isracampus.org.il.
11. She should spend the rest of her life on donations from
Moshe ,   Netanya   (03.30.11)
Norway. Remove her at once.
12. I don't agree with that professor
R ,   Israel   (03.30.11)
Those who do reserve duty often do so at the expense of their studies, missing as much as a month every year, giving those who don't do reserve duty an unfair advantage. They certainly deserve a concert at the very least. And, my daughter does reserve duty as does her study-buddy, who is Druze, so it's not a Jewish/male thing only.
13. She's a racist
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (03.30.11)
I know both Arab and women who do reserves. By implying that Arabs and females don't do reserves, she is the worst kind of racist. After this comment she will probably get a very generous grant from some foreign government in the Near East which she will refuse to name.
14. Rebbeca is going.
johnson ,   south africa   (03.30.11)
Rebbeca is going. Its an unnamed science teacher that makes these appalling statements. all i got to say to her is get a life, she probably has such a miserable one so she lets it out on the student union.
15. the concert is a reward, not a right
chava ,   yerushalayim   (03.30.11)
The concert isn't a "right". It's a "reward". If a bunch of female students put together some sort of women's conference & then afterwards decided to invite those who worked on the organizing to a concert, would that prompt a protest. If there were a concert as a reward for those who received high grades, is that also unfair?
16. For some at BGU, "reserve duty" is a dirty word
Mark ,   Israel   (03.30.11)
My niece told me that in 2003 during Homat Magen operation one of her lecturers declared that he'll refuse to accommodate students who would "dare" to honour mergency reserve draft... I guess this lecture was OK - by BGU standards. Maybe, move BGU (or parts of it) to Gaza strip?
17. I wonder, if the event was held to rais money
ghostq   (03.30.11)
for her research department she would probably be in seven heaven, sad to say but she is just following the money not the freedom of thoughts.
18. The "University" of Treason = BGU
zeev ,   haifa   (03.30.11)
Shut it down now!
19. It's a hostile World out there and usually this should
Abraham ben Jacob ,   Canada   (03.31.11)
Motivate the people surrounded by hostility to logically join together to fight the common enemy. Instead of internal unity, some Israelis think they can bash their own Israeli countrymen for every little thing. This can be dangerous to your health when you disregard the larger evil and fight petty squablles which cause dis-unity and weakness.
