33. Western democracy is a farce
Cynic #2   (03.31.11)
It is the way the rich elite controls a country and fools the people into thinking that it is their votes that count. Parties are controlled by big money and corporations. the voters are just the sheep that stamps the seal of approval. The American president is elected just by 100 elders, not the American people. As Aristotle said, the best form of rule is a wise king.
34. The use of force against Libya gave negative results
nader ,   libya   (03.31.11)
The use of force against Libya gave negative results, all Libyans now with Muammar and not against because of the war has become between the Mamr the West and gain popular support, it was the West as that in the culture of the Libyan people that Libya with his cousin against the enemy, and here in Libya, the people have become Consider that the enemy is the West and not the rebels, actually no fly zone was a fatal error for the unpardonable
35. #8 - The author is totally incorrect
john ,   cardiff   (03.31.11)
"and while many young people would like to see a change in their government, the fundamentalists exert huge influence in the Arab world." The author's stereotype views don't agree with the reality of today. He himself admits that the young people would like to see a change in their government. Is this revolution is not pushed by the younger people? Are fundamentalist, Hizbollah, Alqaeda, Osama, Muslim Brotherhood etc. are playing any part in it? The visible answer is "NO". They have lost the grounds and now the younger generation has taken the control of the revolutions in Arab countries. Hence, the plausible thesis of the author is merely a wishful and stereotype thinking.
36. most likely not true
True Democratacy ,   Somewhere in World   (04.06.11)
The author has an hatred approach towards the arab world. The one may ask himself of what democracy is the true one, or does the democracy has to fit someones agenda in order to be accepted. I didn't see yet a true DEMOCRACY and I believe that for a long time we will not see it. (I know guys you think Im nuts but think better and you will agree with me)
