1. Hezbollah bunkers
Yoel ,   OSSINING, NY 10562   (03.30.11)
This is a good move. Now it is the responsibility of the UN to force them to remove the stuff. If hospitals, etc. are hit in any future conflict, who's responsibility will it be for the loss of life?
2. rocket villages
Maurice ,   Tel Aviv   (03.30.11)
I still don't hear condemnation from the human rights groups!
3. I thought part of the agreement was...
loololol   (03.30.11)
that the UN will be stationed in that area in order to enforce that no rockets or arms will be in those vilages, instead they are there to ensure Israel won't do anything, how useless
4. Nice try IDF
Leon ,   Ottawa, Canada   (03.30.11)
This is IDF propaganda at its blandest. Anybody can take a marker and place dots on a map. There is a bunker Maroon al Ras, really, I guess the IDF should be able to flatten the whole town. Only the idiots who don't need to be convinced would believe this elementary hasbarah. IDF, you really need to improve your propaganda.
5. There will be no movement south of the Litani or Bekka Vally
Dave Bressler ,   Tel Aviv Israel   (03.30.11)
No roads , no bridges , no bicycles, no cars, no walking. People will be warned to leave and go to Beirut. Infantry Brigades and engineers will search for every hole in the ground. This time they will all be killed or starve to death. Anything above the ground will be eliminated . Hezbollah will think the 2006 war was a nice Birthday Party. Send one rocket into Tel Aviv and Israels awsome military power will be unleashed. This much we pledge and more.
6. The Lebanese can change this
Mikey   (03.30.11)
Are the people of Lebanon OK with this equation where Hezbollah cynically uses civil structures and prepares for a proxy war? Are you going to host them kindly and shed crocodile tears after they shoot rockets at Israeli civilians and retaliation will arrive or will you let them hear they are unwelcome? Will you host in your back yard a terror group funded by a murderous regime that not once in the past turned its own weapons against the Lebanese? You can still change this and act against such deeds. Lebanon can once again be the Switzerland of the Middle East. Don't let those wicked terrorists control your lives.
7. rocket villages
mohson   (03.30.11)
hezbollah has implemented the soviet viet nam chinese missile bunker strategy wrapped in civilian areas and boobytrapped arranged fire from 2 directions. It is a good strategy and makes it suicidal to attack in a frontal direction as ordered by halutz in 2006 causing many idf casualties. And benny gantz may also not hav eappreciated the complexity of attack. The bunkers would only suffer limited damage from air power. IDf has to develop an asymmetric strategy and could consist of the following. 1) bombing with gas 2) robot detonators 3) human shields yes and yes 4) steath land invasion 5) use of phosphorus 6)flooding 7)giant bombs 8) sending in christian militias. 9) Have all the shelters and bunkers ready 10) arrange iron dome in the north and central sectors and be ready 11) watch for a 5000 armed intervention by hezbollah in the north to take control of an israel border town and block and kill them. Idf-get to work on a strategy otherwise the next war will be a repeat of 2006.
8. Continued Shia presence in south Lebanon may come into quest
Stephen in New York   (03.30.11)
159 Shia towns south of the Litani serve as missile launching bases for the Hez. It’s also known that the Hez has standing battalion-sized units trained and deployed to cross the Israeli border. These attacks may initially seize some ground, but within 12 hours the assault units will be wiped out. And the 159 villages and towns that serve as Hez military positions will be seriously damaged and many non-combatants will die. Sure, Hezbollah can cause Israel pain, but the continued Shia presence in south Lebanon may come into question.
9. Hezbollah is NOT a terrorist organization...
Marco ,   Spain   (03.30.11)
What a B.S article. It reminds me of the talk backs written by Sarah B.S of U.S.A / Israel. "The Jewish state believes the sites belong to Hezbollah". Now this is a smoking gun if there was ever one. Hezbollah is not intimidated by Israel's false reports. Israel cannot do more than it did in 2006. Hezbollah is stronger than ever and is ready for any Israeli adventure. Bring it on....
10. #4 Leon
Arn ,   Yehud   (03.30.11)
Given that map, Leon (or is it Muhammad) , it's a no-brainer for UNIFIL to visit these villages, eh? The map seems to fix the areas quite clearly. And what are the chances that HIzbollah cooperates with them? But no matter. Plainly you know everything.
11. #4
gary ,   brooklyn ny   (03.30.11)
what are you-a spokesman for the UN? your living in denial like the rest of the world-you will realize you were wrong while your running to your bomb shelter have a good day!
12. I trust there's a bullseye on each location
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, USA   (03.30.11)
Just as the IAF took out virtually all Hizbullah's medium and longer-range missiles in the first day of fighting in 2006, I hope they take out every one of these sites with the first major provocation. When that happens, the world should keep silent, as they've been warned and did nothing. If the White House calls to complain, the PM should have his secretary take a message.
13. #2 and you won't hear from those groups till there is a war
Galut ,   selah   (03.30.11)
those groups have thier heads stuck in the sand with a leash of thier own bias .... the best ting folks can do is post this to thier facebook page with a note to SHARE ... most liberal outlets will only put this on thier back page with a brief note.
14. salma where are your stupid comments now
dan   (03.30.11)
15. To #4
Maurice ,   Los Angeles   (03.30.11)
This is not propaganda. It has been proven time and time again. You're the one who is naive to believe Hezbollah's garbage. Israel is simply telling the world that civilian casualties will occur next time because of what Hezbollah is doing just like Hamas hiding behind women and children in Gaza.
16. #4 Leon , Ottawa, Canada
Marco ,   Spain   (03.30.11)
Very well said Leon. I couldnt have said it any better myself...
17. #5 Dave Bressler , Tel Aviv Israel
Marco ,   Spain   (03.30.11)
Your IDF tried in 2006 and they failed miserably... Educate yourself Dave by reading the Winograd report... Hezbollah has proven over and over again that they have a leadership that is by far smarter than your own. You can deny that as much as you want, but at the end of the day, Hezbollah liberated all Lebanese hostages from Israeli prisons and liberated most of its occupied land by force...
18. All these are valid targets under the Geneva Convention
(03.31.11)
All the villagers should know they are in danger and should leave. IDF can attack at any moment and no Hezbollah lies can save them.
19. Smarco, EU and US define Hezbollah as a terror org
(03.31.11)
This is an official step, so you can take your stupid lies and try them on your Muslim friends. They are used to live in denial, envy and bravado anyway.
20. Marco from Spain:
Israeli 2   (03.31.11)
In THIS dimension and in THIS universe Israel was the winner in all of its confrontations against Hezbis. In the next war they will not be Hezbis but Has beens. Rolly Polly Nasra is still cowering like a suckling...and ISRAEL reign supreme. So from whatever universe you came from ...eat YOUR heart out.
21. Nice Try IDF
Neil ,   Los Angeles, USA   (03.31.11)
This is actually quite simple, even for you. Hezbollah can show this is a stunt by allowing the UN to inspect each of the "dots" on the map. Are you that daft to think the IDF would make it so simple to prove this is a stunt? Good thing you're not biased.
22. The IDF was not allowed to fight in Lebanon
Aaron Coyne ,   Rutland USA   (03.31.11)
Severe political shortfalls had the IDF handcuffed in the last war. That will not be the case the next time.
23. Marco spain-are there still Jews in Spain?
(03.31.11)
24. #4 and #16
Neil ,   Los Angeles, USA   (03.31.11)
Marco, apparently you're just as bright as "Leon" of Canada. And, unfortunately, just as biased. Let's all call for a UN inspection of the "dots" and the matter will be resolved. If you believe Hezbollah will allow such an inspection you probably think the sun rises in the west.
25. Game Plane to seize GAZA- West Bank and South Lebannon
jimmy ,   las vegas USA   (03.31.11)
I will lead this blue print and non of u can stop me, wait and see
26. nor sure what is worse
citizen   (03.31.11)
revealing the existence of such map, or publishing it in the Washington Post, one of the most anti-Israel newspaper in the US
27. Marco Loco grande
michael birg ,   sydney ,australia   (03.31.11)
Like most of those " involved " against Israel have big mouth and you are in that group , amigo . Now when you permanent in that pretty Spain maybe you contribute to the adopted country economy and start doing a solid bit of daily shift. Buena suerte and stay asured Israle manages well.
28. Re 24 - UN inspection would be appropiate
Galut ,   selah   (03.31.11)
However the UN has been pretty timid in this conflict when it comes to enforcing the UN resolutions against hezbulah...don't expect them to change....
29. Instaed of building houses they build bunkers instead
Sam Turell ,   Australia   (03.31.11)
Bunkers for the miserable and cowardly Hizballah to hide in,when they are not hiding in schools, hospitals and behind their wives and children.
30. #9 marco...yeah, right
solomon ,   bklyn   (03.31.11)
You begin by saying Hez is not a terrorist organization and then prove it is ("Hezbollah is stronger than ever and is ready for any Israeli adventure."). If you are going to deny reality, at least get straight the reality that you are denying.
