It has nothing to do with oil. They were getting all the oil they wanted from Gadaffi. the issue there is the US needed something to distract from their failed ecomomy lead by their failed leader. They do this all the time and is standard american policy. When times are hard at home, invade some small nation and claim something stupid like saving the lives of innocent civilians. For what? so they can kill them? The US has no idea who the other side is, their intense dislike for Gadaffi and outside focus are the reason. Why not in Africa? Good question, but the real answer is simply, no one cares about black africa...they can kill themselves and the world sits by. Genocide, famine, disease and every other imaginable and unimaginable distress and the democratic nations sit back and shrug because they do not care one bit....
