1. I find this to be infuriating!
Hadas   (04.02.11)
Mr.Goldstone if you did your job right the first time, all this hatred that we see this days towards Israel could have been prevented! This is all because of your unfair and one sided report! The blood is on your hands!
2. What an a**hole
Alex ,   Brooklyn, NY   (04.02.11)
3. Goldstone is a liar
Frank ,   Canada   (04.02.11)
Goldstone lied in this report and he is lying again. He is telling the truth now because he cannot lie anymore, not because he is an honest man.
4. A Day Late, And A Dollar Short
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (04.02.11)
As they say in old school adage. Oh, so only now your realizing the truth? Why would Israel cooperate with an International body that has always sought to prove, their preconceived conclusions? Don't you think Israel had a right to be suspicious of any investigation by the UN? Well yes now you do, and admit it, so that is saying something. Before everybody jumps Goldstone, remember he is admitting his numerous errors. One BIG admission, is Israel does investigate...legitimately, not whitewash BS...while Hamas never did, and never has. That's a huge confession!!! It's what Israel has always claimed and what the anti-Israel writers have always denied or ignored. So better LATE, THAN NEVER. Goldstone you've done much damage to Israel and the Jewish people. This is your first step in a long stairwell, but welcome back to the real world. The Goldstone report was long ago completely discredited, now the author himself admits it, CASE CLOSED. So let's review it all with Goldstone and show how many mistakes there were, a book could be written about the inaccuracies in this one report.

13. Goldstone
Jorge ,   Israel/USA/Argentina   (04.02.11)
The damage is done, you cannot go back and say "sorry" or "if Israel cooperated". Asking now the human right body condening "Itamar" or "denouncing the rocks from Hamas" will not be listened (it is not part of scope of work that you were hired). The human right body already got what they wanted: selling your brothers and sisters to the executioners as step for delegimitization of Israel. You can add in your resume: 1. Sending inocent black people to the death row in South Africa. 2. Delegitimization of Israel 3.Recommendation from your nazis and antisemitic friends that are proud of you. As far as your carrier, please do nothing for for anybody. Go and enjoy a retirement in a hidden island where nobody can find you. You know what you did, it is not a good time for asking forgiveness, Your justice idea lean where the money goes.
14. Justice
Jorge ,   Israel/USA/Argentina   (04.02.11)
The HRC hire a Jewish lawyer (Judge) to testify against the Jewish brothers and sisters for a lot of money. Guess what? He enjoys the money, fame and betrayed the own race. He realized that all his inner circle is gone, now he is crying for forgiveness. What a person!!!! no dignity!!!!! Do us a favor keep you mouth shut
15. Goldstone,

What will you do if your neighbor shoots at your house and comes the police and arrest you for war crime?
16. repentance in a Washington Post column
observer ,   Egypt   (04.02.11)
why he hasn't said that to the UN? is the Jewish repentance lip service that is only delivered whenever and wherever suits?
17. Goldstone, the mouthpiece
karmel ,   usa   (04.02.11)
How did he not know then what the entire world knew about the nature of the Hamas beast? He can express all the regret he wants, but the damage of his hateful, biased propaganda has already been done. For all I care, he can go live in Gaza to get a glimpse of what life would be like under Arab rule.

Steve   (04.02.11)
Albeit what you write may have validity, still I must "jump" Judge Goldstone for his naiveté. Goldstone wrote: "Some have suggested that it was absurd to expect Hamas, an organization that has a policy to destroy the state of Israel, to investigate what we said were serious war crimes." Do you think? Goldstone: "Simply put, the laws of armed conflict apply no less to non-state actors such as Hamas than they do to national armies. Ensuring that non-state actors respect these principles, and are investigated when they fail to do so, is one of the most significant challenges facing the law of armed conflict." How does Goldstone expect criminal / genocidal regimes - whether they be the Nazi party, Iran's Revolutionary regime or genocidal organizations like Hamas or Fatah - to respect the "laws of armed conflict" short of the total war / unconditional surrender FDR and Churchill committed themselves to? Goldstone: "Only if all parties to armed conflicts are held to these standards will we be able to protect civilians who, through no choice of their own, are caught up in war." According to the Washington Post, Jan. 27, 2006: "Hamas Sweeps Palestinian Elections, Complicating Peace Efforts in Mideast" Post: "In Wednesday's voting, Hamas claimed 76 of the 132 parliamentary seats, giving the party at war with Israel the right to form the next cabinet under the Palestinian Authority's president, Mahmoud Abbas, the leader of Fatah." In light of this, why does Judge Goldstone speak of "civilians who, through no choice of their own, are caught up in war." (?)
19. He should be praised for saying this today
Roger Hudson ,   New York, USA   (04.02.11)
I think some of the talkbackers here should try and tone down their anger at Goldstone. Think about it: What courage it must take for a public figure -- in his case a judge and a UN investigator -- to step up to the plate and admit that a report he'd authored would reach different conclusions if it was written today. In fact, I can't think of any public figure who has admitting reversing himself/herself in such a way. on any subject. We should be thanking him and encouraging others to do the same. Israel's supporters should not be slamming him today, which might discourage others like him to keep their mouths shut if they disavow a conclusion they had once reached. Goldstone's admission of regret today is truly great news for Israel at a time when Israel needs all the good news it can get. This is huge, folks. And the reverberations could be monumental. Perhaps (and that is admittedly a big 'perhaps') others inside the UN will look at the subject differently. Thank you, Judge Goldstone. That took real (and rare) guts -- and, yes, integrity.
20. Spare me
Rachel ,   US   (04.02.11)
You did not want to see the evidence. You were determined to launch a hit job against Israel and you succeeded. Take your lame second thoughts elsewhere.
21. What an idiot...
Shay ,   Houston   (04.02.11)
U consider yourself to be an expert?? Why didn't you send an official recanting of the report to the UN and go on mass media to apologize for the negligence of falsely accusing Israel
22. the damage is already done
(04.02.11)
the regret won't get anywhere near as much exposure nor it will decrease the number of condemnations Israel gets in the UN, more than any other country in world.. (what a sad joke)
23. and what exactly does he expects from a terror organization?
A-rod   (04.02.11)
of course they won't investigate the terror attacks they instigate on civilians, it doesn't take a physics theorist to realize that.
24. too late mr self-righteous. the damage has been done
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (04.02.11)
no skin off your back, though. loser.

26. Late
John ,   Herzliya, Israel   (04.02.11)
A bit late, Mr Goldstone, don't you think so? And guess what, this will be published only in Israel, all the agencies that covered their front pages with the report will not even mention this. Thank you, Mr Goldstone!
