61. Can Israel now sue Goldstone and UN for libel?
William ,   Israel   (04.02.11)
Considering how much evil this report has created, including falsehoods against Israel, attempted arrests of supposed "war criminals", not mention all of the bad actions against Israel at the UN because they accepted the report without one question - wouldn't Israel and its people be obligated to sue them both for libel?
62. Wasn't hard for Goldstone, Hamas gave him the info
William ,   Israel   (04.02.11)
It wasn't hard for Goldstone to come to the conclusion that the report was extremely flawed and biased. Even with the mountains of evidence he chose to ignore (whether deliberately or just sleeping through testimony), he couldn't ignore Hamas' admission that most killed during Cast Lead were infact terrorists and not civilians.
63. He should be defrocked of his legal status as Judge.
Joseph ,   Israel   (04.02.11)
64. What if the Goldstone report wasn't published?
Adam ,   Sweden   (04.02.11)
Goldstone wrote in his report that information was lacking because Israel was not copperating. When the report was published Israel investigated the alleged incidents and now we have more information. Without the report we would have no investigations and no possibility to determine what happened. Therefore we should appreciate Goldstone's work and his willingness to consider new information and adjust his conclusion.
65. Roger Hudson #19 courage?
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (04.02.11)
Don't make me laugh. The man ignored ALL international laws on the subject. Ignored the fact that Hamas started the conflict. Ignored the fact that Hamas and other terrorist organizations hide among their own people while shooting at Israelis. Ignored the fact that we pointed out that the groups he was relying on lie all the time. Ignored the fact that his 'staff' were selected because of their racism. Now he claims that somehow all that would have been different if we had helped him libel us. Sorry that doesn't pass the smell test. Goldstone is a lying, apartheid supporting moron without an ounce of guts or integrity. If you think otherwise then you have no idea of the terms.
66. What a chutzpah!
Goosy Gander ,   Israel   (04.02.11)
Goldstone agreed to head the commission with Pillay as a member, in the full knowledge that she had previously uttered anti-Israel statements regarding Cast Lead. Despite this Goldsmith agreed to have her as a member. Does he honestly believe that his commission was impartial? The mandate he originally received was never amended. Chutzpah de Luxe!
67. Reminds me of that story in the Mishna...
David Egyes ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (04.02.11)
... about the fellow who goes to his rabbi to apologise for speaking lashon hara (evil gossip) against him. The rabbi then rips open a pillow and ask his errant congregant if he could ever gather all the windblown feathers. I'm trying to give the benefit of the doubt to Judge Goldstone here, but it's admittedly difficult for me to excuse such culpability, especially since it makes it that much harder for Israel to defend itself against implacable enemies.
68. Goldstone Killed the Peace Process
Rube Vogel ,   Jerusalem   (04.03.11)
Like many other moderates in Israel, I no longer support the peace process because of Goldstone. Goldstone made it clear to me that the world will not allow us to defend ourselves if we are foolish enough to allow the Palestinians any more land for their launching pads.
69. Better late than never
Nechama ,   Sydney, Australia   (04.03.11)
If other news outlets pick up and broadcast or print this, then it's better late than never. Nothing and no one is perfect. Things happen which are out of our control. We have to do the best we can with what we have to work with. I hope they published this in Arab media.

71. Goldstone
avrom aaron levy ,   Mt. Vernon,NY USA   (04.03.11)
It's too late for Justice Goldstone to rethink his shameful UN report. He did his damage that cannot be repaired. It is written in ink forever to be in the Hamas and UN belief system. I am sorry to say, Justice Goldstone has forever done his damage. He should be ashamed of himself as a Jew who had he investigated properly and not given himself to those who hate Us,Justice Goldstone could have been a Moses.
72. too late
Jerold Landau ,   Toronto, Canada   (04.03.11)
As Maimonides tells us, there are some things that you cannot do teshuva for so easily. And as another parable goes, if you rip open a feather pillow, much as you may regret it later, it may be impossible to gather all the feathers.
73. Goldstone Report.
Jack ,   UAE   (04.03.11)
It seems Israel has provided the information when it has carefully been made up. They seem never to disbeleive in falcity and it has grown into a dark vile creed.
74. Deserves further comments
Serge ,   Antwerp, Belgium   (04.03.11)
How exactly would Israeli cooperation helped Goldstone know who is civilian and who is a terrorist ? He had acces to Gaza, Hamas claims he got full cooperation. Is Goldstone claiming he believes Israeili information is more reliable ? He should have known that before he started his mission.
75. #16 NON-OBSERVING COPYCAT
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (04.03.11)
I'm surprised you didn't copy his retraction and post it That's you usual M.O., copy & paste, with never a bit of originality on your part

Goldstone had already made up his "mind" before he ever left South Africa, he was basing his conclusions only on the partial amounts that were made available to him, while he was at home..When he arrived in Gaza,Hamas spoon fed him their own information He had virtually no contact with Isralei authorities In the "Old American West" he would have been known as "The Hanging Judge", ala Judge Roy Bean
77. PROOF POSITIVE
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (04.03.11)
Just Google Col. Richard Kemp and watch the video of his remarks at the UN. He clearly states the truth, No army in history has ever been more moral than the IDF. Any remarks to contrary have NO basis in fact. Please don't bother responding if you have Not taken the time to watch the video. If you do watch, prove where Col. Kemp was wrong, or shut up!! You'll have do your own research, sadly YNET won't let me put this link in a post. I've tried at 6-8 times on different articles. I guess YNET is afraid to show it, for some unknown reason.
