Since they love Syria so much, the government of Israel should use their resources to make it possible for these people to repatriate back to their beloved homeland.
3. i used to have a respectful opinion of the druse

then i saw how jumbalatt in lebanon decided to suddenly lick the boots of syria, now this - from the ones who freely live in an actual democracy and support baby assad while never lived a day under bashar's dictatorial oppression. sure, druse might be brave in combat. though i'd be embarrassed by their rush to bow to the most vile elements they can find.

They should go to Damascus and fight the protectors there. They rally in another country to support another country? Stupidity is a bilss in ME.

Every recent Prime Minister talks about giving away the Golan. These Golani Druze have to cover their backs publically Privately I have many Druze friends who tell me that they are very happy to be in Israel and not Syria.

Golan Druze are scared that the Golan will be given back to Syria. Something that is almost a given fact...just wait and see. They are only trying to protect their backs, but I think that they will all be slaughtered by the Syrian regime, no matter what they do now. The only way for pro democratic, pro Israel Druze to protect themselves, is to buy a house in 'Israel proper'. I know of a few 'well to do' Druze from Migdal Shams who have done exactly that. I just hope they will be able to get out in time, during that transition from Israel to Syria.
12. Then why not move to Syria...
Rafi ,   US   (04.03.11)
... if you think Assad is such a great guy? Hmm... haven't seen a lot of takers...

BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (04.03.11)
Israeli Druze women leave to marry husbands in Syria, with one proviso, they can't return Allow the men the same courtesy, they too can leave, to marry or not is their own business..They still aren't allowed to return

one can see it is a oficial sate aranged demonstration like they had in the comunist countries before 89.All the fake slogans and lies .
15. reality
tom ,   toronto, canada   (04.04.11)
the reality is that either israel makes peace with syria and gives the golan (and its druze residents) back, or the state of war remains in effect and they get to stay, de facto, in israel. ironically, assad and no peace is probably better for them. but regardless of which way events play out, or which scenario they might prefer, they will have little or no say in the matter. but if they speak out against assad now, they might have to pay the (possibly bloody) consequences later. on the other hand, this "protest" really does nothing to keep assad in power, costs very little (israel isn't likely to kill or deport them for it), and protects their interests. a very smart move, and unfortunately necessary, given israel's track record of not protecting her "friends".
