11 Talkbacks for this article
1. Why should we believe a report based just on arab side?
Abraham Nachmias ,   Petach Tikva IL   (04.02.11)
99.8% of the cases prove to be just lies!!!
2. Could be worse...like karate.
Ypip ,   Canada   (04.02.11)
3. If true, red card for Or Akiva, criminal charges
Brian Cohen ,   PeoplesFrontofJudea   (04.02.11)
From the radio reports I'm hearing, there was indeed a brawl. The football federation should investigate and if the allegations against Or Akiva are true, the team should be suspended for the rest of the season, the managers and players fined and otherwise disciplined. I'm fed up with racist hooligans be they Jews or Arabs.
4. #3 Brian - Be realistic
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (04.02.11)
It's a brawl between opponents, there are always soreheads on one side when the game ends It doesn't matter what the sport is, they're still letting off steam
5. Oh horror -- some Jews behaving like normal people!
Hanoch ,   Bayside, USA   (04.03.11)
Stoning Jewish cars, harassing Jewish girls, desecrating Jewish holy sites -- all this became so routine that it does not constitute news. Ever heard about a minority Jews harassing Arabs in Arab country? Yeah, right. It's about time the situation is changed. An Arabs should think long and hard before daring to raise his hand on a Jew in Israel. If that requires some "teaching" it should be provided.
6. # 1
Ahmad ,   Qalansuwa   (04.03.11)
You are right Abraham: 99% of your Israeli news are lies !!!
7. Disgusting talkbacks
Liz   (04.03.11)
I am disgusted by the tone of these talkbacks. Kalansua is an Israeli Arab town between Kfar Saba and Netanya to those of you who dont know. There is no place for violence and racism in sport FROM EITHER SIDE, These kids went to play a soccer game and ended up in the ER. There is no justification for this.
8. Typical
Salma ,   Balestine   (04.03.11)
Its typical. I am ashamed of the Arab side for causing trouble.
9. Shabbas
ed   (04.03.11)
Why have these "games" , Jews vs arabs on Shabbas no less? As if there is nothing else to do.
10. I don't get it
babawawa ,   new york, usa   (04.03.11)
Soccer fans all over the world are violent. What's the deal?
11. BJ - I am indeed being realistic
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (04.03.11)
The football federation finally took action against Beitar after years of their fans chanting "death to Arabs" at games (I've actually heard it live...ugly and disgusting!). This doesn't look like standard brawl, but more like an out of control lynch mob. A one-on-one punch up I can deal with, but a mob attack on a youth team is NOT soreheads blowing off steam. All indications are that the national federation should take punitive action against Or Akiva to make sure that this incident is not repeated - fines, suspensions, fan ban, or all of the above.
