minded, gutless remark ? It's Jews like that who make us look bad. There is always an Israeli politician who is more than willing to lick the boots of his percieved Master!
2. Goldstone teshuvo
hamsi5 ,   panama panama   (04.03.11)
Sad to see after the fact repentance. Bashing the Jewish State will bring more grieve to the Palestinians, When are the brothers going to sign an agreement with Israel. Come out of the refugee mentality. Radicalism will bring you nowhere. Israel is the Palestinian best friend.
3. Found Waldo
Ron ,   OC, US   (04.03.11)
It appears he has been found...Too little, too late. The Arabs have used the report to their advantage as have Israeli bashers world over. Goldstone starts with Charlie Rose, the LA Times, Larry King and Al Jazerra and visits every college campus until the day he dies retracting his story. Gives up his speaking fee to Israeli victims of terror. The least he can do.
4. Over 3,000 tons of bombs fell on Gaza
observer ,   Egypt   (04.03.11)
Exhaustive investigations by the Goldstone Commission , Amnesty International, and others found no evidence of even one such incident of Hamas using civilians as human shields.

6. Don't Try To Twist Goldstone Words.
Salma ,   Palestine   (04.03.11)
Goldstone doesn't change his mind, all he is sayingis that if "Israel" had cooperated with his inquiry, the results would likely have been different........in his article in washington post , there's NO CLEAR evidence that he has disowned most of the findings in his report.
7. I agree #1 Tom
Rachel ,   US   (04.03.11)
It would be nice if all Israeli leaders could be united on this issue. At least Kadima & Likud are on the same page. And Hertzog shows why Labor will never win another election. They are pathetic. They are a step above Meretz.
8. Isaac Herzog is being disingenuous
Robert Haymond ,   Israel/Canada   (04.03.11)
and self-serving. To begin with, members other than Goldstone on this UN committee had already prejudged the situation and had made their negative opinions of Israel known long before they were appointed to this committee. Professor Christine Chinkin from England is a case in point. None of the other committee members have publicly disclosed that they were, or could have been, mistaken, in light of further knowledge about Operation Cast Lead. Doesn't that tell us something? In addition, any committee sponsored by the UN on the subject of Israel continues to be biased against given the preponderance of Arab states involved. That's basic. MK Isaac Herzog doesn't have the sense to comprehend how such a committee came about and how their conclusions were already set in advance. Keep dreaming, Mr. Herzog, keep hoping that the world is really just towards its Jews. That's why you're affiliated with the Labour Party; you haven't got a clue with respect to the nature of our Arab neighbours nor the United Nations. Fortunately for Israel, you and your kind will be voted out of office come the next election. In the meantime, keep dreaming, along with that sentimental novelist, Amos Oz, who befriends a terrorist serving five life sentences in hopes that he (Bargouthi) will tred a different path. You're both pathetic.
9. NO ISRAELI MISSTAKE !!!.
Orao. ,   Srbia.   (04.03.11)
. Ex-Minister Herzog: Israel's refusal to cooperate with panel was a fatal mistake ACCUSED ARE NOT REQUIRED TO COOPERATE WITH THE ACCUSERS. IF THIS WAR THE CASE, ACCUSATIONS CAN BE USED TO ARESST THE RIGHTOUS FREEDOM OF ACTION OF LIFE. AND LIFE EXPRESSED IN RIGHTOUS ACTIONS,' WILL CHEASE. IT IS THE ACCUSERS RESPONSIBILTY TO PROVE THEIR ACCUSATIONS, AND EVERYONE IS UNGUILTY UNTILL PROVEN OTHERWISE. FURTHER - NO COURT OR INVESTIGATION HAS ANY AUTHORITY OR RIGHT TO DEPRIVE A NATION OF THEIR FREEDOM OF SOVEREIGNTY, ARESST IT AND PUT IT INTO INVESTIGATION, BEFORE PROVEN GUILTY ISRAEL HAS DONE NO MISTAKE IN THIS CASE, IT WAS THE UN WHO DID THE MISTAKE IN THIS CASE, NOT TO COOPERATE WITH ISRAEL. ISRAEL STOD THE TEST AND THE UN AND ITS INVESTIGATING PANEL IS DISQUALIFIED. THIS IS AN OFFENSE OF THE WHOLE OF UN AGAINST ISRAEL. SHAME ON YOU !!!. Orao.Srbia.
10. Twisted words
Abba ,   Modi'in, Israel   (04.03.11)
One cannot twist words that have been twisted beyond any semblance of truth by their author. Goldstone may have recognized the implications of Gaza's public support of the Hamas beasts after the slaughter at Itamar and decided it was time to save what face he could by untwisting what had been the most twisted, phony report in recent history.
11. Tonnage of bombs?
Abba ,   Modi'in, Israel   (04.03.11)
" Over 3,000 tons of bombs fell on Gaza " says one "observer", who fails to mention the tonnage of missiles fired from Gaza on Israeli civilians that fell on Sderot and surrounding areas.

Goldstone distorted reality, making the attacker the victim. It's time to make amends.
14. Uh...& how long did the pals think charade would last!?
EZ ,   US   (04.03.11)
LOL! You really do need to be an inhumane moron to believe the absurd accusations the pals come up with along with the automatic majority (of Arabs &friends) in the UN. The truth behind the behavior of the pals is underlined every time their "brothers" murder innocent people in...well, let's have a look-see: Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Lybia, Egypt, Barhain, Tunisia, Jordan....well for starters. I think the world can clearly read the mentality of the "group" we are talking about: the pals are rooted in this "realm" of behavior. It's only surprising that goldstone actually went as far as he did with his false hopes that backing the pals was a "good thing". Oh well, he's pretty ashamed and discredited now! As far as Hamas' terrorist flapping their yaps: keep talking: like the sociopath Salma, you just keep underscoring why the world will ultimately turn against you. Goldstone was a joke, the pals are a joke, the BIG LIE is showing and we all know that democracy is oppositional to Islam and the backward mentality of the pals. Peace with the pals is impossible: they will lose everything in the end...which is sooner than we think but it's about time. Karma is a bitch but if you don't do anything wrong you don't have to worry. Chai Yisrael. CONGRATS to the pals: your ways have humiliated you yet again!
15. Herzog, I have a question to you...
Yisraeli   (04.03.11)
Were Hitler to have appointed a committee to look into and investigate as to why the Jews allegedly started both WW1 & WW2, should the Jews of the time co-operated with such an investigation proving their innocence when the intent of the investigation was clear from the start?
16. #4 #6
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (04.03.11)
#4: actually there are. The fact is that all Hamas bunkers were situated in hospitals and they fired most of their rockets from schools. But you know what? Don't let facts bother you. #6 with arguing what Hamas agent Goldstone said or not, why are you complaining? Last week you said how "humiliating" a captured Arab terrorist was legal justification for mass-murder of Jewish children. You must certainly agree that murder of Jewish children by Arab "heroes" is legal justification for Israelis killing armed Arab terrorists? What's good for the goose...
17. Goldstone report # 4
rivka ,   los angeles   (04.03.11)
What difference would it make - to conduct an investigation with a foregone conclusion of hostility against Israel. Goldstone admitted that the tables were rigged against Israel. And, to be rational and fair - since you mention 3,000 bombs falling on Gaza, do you remember how many Qsam rockets were launched against the Israeli population before Israel responded? around 12,000. Egypt and Israel have both respected peace accords - for many decades, without bad faith - because Egypt is an honorable and disciplined partner in peace - in war, Egypt was a formidable opponent. In the end - Israel honored its commitment, and handed back the Sinai. I hope that Egypt prospers during the current evolution, and hope also that your future and assets (Suez Canal & Tourism) remain safe from those who are conspiring to seize control - Erdogan, al Assad, their partners and sponsors in Iran - along with their terror squads, Hizbullah and Hamas. Iran wants control of the Suez - and Turkey wants your tourist trade - look at Lebanon, to see the result of this evil alliance. Israel has never wanted to be more than a good neighbor - but 12,000 rockets later - it was challas. Even you would appreciate that.
18. It happens again - I agree with Salma.
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (04.03.11)
Don't try to twist his words. Here is what Goldstone concluded: "From the facts available, the Mission finds that the rocket and mortars attacks, launched by Palestinian armed groups in Gaza, have caused terror in the affected communities of southern Israel and in Israel as a whole. Furthermore, it is the Mission's view that the mortars and rockets are uncontrolled and uncontrollable, respectively. This indicates the commission of an indiscriminate attack on the civilian population of southern Israel, a war crime, and may amount to crimes against humanity." HUMAN RIGHTS IN PALESTINE AND OTHER OCCUPIED ARAB TERRITORIES Report of the United Nations Fact Finding Mission on the Gaza Conflict Pages 473-474 15 September 2009 "... the [Goldstone] report contains the clearest finding that Hamas and other militant Palestinian groups committed serious war crimes and possibly crimes against humanity. The acceptance of those findings by the Human Rights Council and the General Assembly has been ignored completely..." Richard Goldstone, Interviewed by Ha'aretz, Nov 13 2009
19. Herzog is right
Michael ,   UK   (04.03.11)
As a passionate supporter of Israel, it does not help to ignore the UN. As someone who has studied International Law, I can recognise how biased the UN is against Israel. That is undoubted. However the issue is to confront or ignore. International Law is increasingly recognised as being valid. I personally dont believe that boycotting UN initiatives achieves anything. Nobody will believe Israel over the UN. The UN (unfortunately) does not need Israel's validity. It is important to realise that cooperating with the UN will at least help Israel to some degree. This is a much wider issue than the Goldstone report. There has been and should continue to be a shift in Israeli policy to explain our position to the UN. No foreign country will believe Israel is right and the UN is wrong. That is the unfortunate and sad reality.
20. @4 observer
Beauchard ,   Amsterdam   (04.03.11)
"Over 3,000 tons of bombs fell on Gaza". Those evil Jews who were trying to kill as many babies and children as possible. And in a built-up area like Gaza with no fortified rooms, They must have slaughtered tens of thousands, at least. Oh, they did not. How could they miss?
21. We need more ministers like Hertzog
Naomi   (04.04.11)
in the government, then Israel would be in a better place. He is a balanced, reasonable man. Those who accuse him of making Israel look bad should think again. And this has got nothing to do with Holocaust or WWII.
