1. Israel... all of it,
03.04.11   (04.03.11)
belongs to the Jewish Nation and I see no reason why these buildings can cause any harm other than the trouble the arabs will drop on Israel's doorstep. They MUST learn to return to the arab deserts where they originate from. All these so-called Palestines are looking for is how to get a quick buck by stealing (AGAIN) God's-given land to the Jewish people. And, get them the hell out of Jerusalem.
2. Dear Mr. BIBI: You said
Israeli 2   (04.03.11)
"Jerusalem was united more than 40 years ago, and since then there has been no change in the building policy." If indeed what you said is true, then why don't you announce this fact to the whole world...over and over again until perhaps in another 40 years they will get the picture. If you cannot declare this lawfully, who can? Lieberman or Shmuel Ben Yishai perhaps?
3. Everybody knows the Pals won't negotiate no matter what
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (04.03.11)
Construction is a red herring. It's a cheap excuse to avoid the peace talks and the Pals do clearly do NOT want to negotiate. They prefer to bypass negotiations and are obviously attempting to use the UN to declare a Palestinian state and avoid all the issues that they are unable and unwilling to negotiate. In the end, this is still a bypassing of international law. However, the UN has such a pathetically dismal record of adhering to international law, that the Pals obviously want to exploit that to have the UN impose the state that they are unable to create themselves. It wont' work. The end result may actually be war - since the Pals might declare another intifada to again "liberate" their country. All that the Pals will achieve is more death and destruction.
4. There is NO green line
Brod ,   USA   (04.03.11)
Judea and Samaria are Israel's LIBERATED historic homeland-Land of Israel. Israel should build, build and build all over Judea and Samaria and its eternal capital-city of Jerusalem. This is your land. Don't talk about the crap green line. Stand strong, resolute and united against the dark forces-world of AntiSemites and Islamist-Jihadists. Don't be afraid to tell Obama to go to Hell for trying to play Islamist-Jihadist Crusader against Israel. He is a gone case. He does not represent Judeo-Christian America. He has committed impeachable offenses for siding with the Islamist-Jihadist forces in the region and in Africa, underminding America's national interests and the interests of America's allies, for destroying America's economy with 14 Trillion Dollars in national debt, for being dependent on Arab Islamist-Jihadist oil cartel that continues to rip off the American people, while using its $700 Billion annual oil revenues from America to sponsor Islamist-Jihadist terrorism around the world, and attacking and killing Americans in the region, Pakistan, Aghanistan, etc.,, for rising unemployment, rising home foreclosures, rising gas price, and for siding with countries at the UN that are hostile to Israel-America's only friend and ally in the region, emboldening the Islamist-Jihadists to usurp Israel's LIBERATED HISTORIC HOMELAND OF JUDEA AND SAMARIA-LAND OF ISRAEL, and for siding with the Islamist-Jihadists in building a mega mosque at Ground Zero where Islamist-Jihadists murdered 3000 Americans in cold blood and destroyed America's Twin Towers on 9/11! If Obama survives impeachment, he will be dethroned in 2012 by Sarah Palin. He will be known as the worst President that Americans were fooled to elect.
5. Joshua's Green Line
eddie ,   london UK   (04.03.11)
When Joshua led the Israelites into the Land of Israel, his green line is described in the Bible. It was not fixed on one victory. The pre-67 green line was the victory of 1948. In 1967, more Israelite land was recovered. Palestinians can make peace with us, or leave.
6. What Green line ?
Ish Kabibble ,   Delancey   (04.03.11)
I am color blind, I can't see it !!
7. Who want's to live out there?
Rich ,   Toronto, Canada   (04.03.11)
There are not enough jobs even in Israel proper. We need to get our priorities straight. Right now dangerous radiation(Caesium 137) from Japan is coming across Israel at the 2500 and 5000 meter levels. We should be showing more concern about that.
8. if you are so concerned, why not...
Larry ,   Los Angeles   (04.03.11)
What about the Arabs who have 'settled' in Jewish land, like Silwan and Hebron? Why does that not bother you??? What about the tens of thousands of Jews living in Ramot, Neve Yaakov, sections of Jerusalem that was taken from the Jordanians? Should they all move?? Why don't you convert to be an Arab? It seems to fit you better than being a Jew, they will really love you, especially if you get on their case. You are nothing but a self hating Jew.
9. Gilo is next door, not "out there"
Andrew Hamilton ,   Jerusalem Israel   (04.03.11)
Gilo is a 15 min bike ride from the centre of Jerusalem you moron. Its not "out there", its much closer to the center of the city than the vast majority of Toronto residents live from the centre of Toronto!
10. No "green lines" ...
Jules   (04.03.11)
... on the maps that Arab schoolchildren are taught by the PA.
11. Young people need Jerusalem option
Beverly L ,   Toronto, Canada   (04.03.11)
If you want Jerusalem to be a vibrant self-sustaining city, then there needs to be affordable housing. The land that is being used is privately owned. There is no encroachment on Beit Jala. Why do Jews accept the non sense argument that there is no peace because of the construction. Let the PA stop the incitement and sit down to negotiate. Stop supporting their excuses.
12. about time. this is our land, learn that obama, we have the

history, courage, energy, moralty and strength to defend our rights.
13. Stolen land
Alloptionsonthetable ,   USA   (04.04.11)
The municipality says the land is "privately-owned". I would love to see the records of ownership for this land going back to the Ottoman Empire...or the Israeli or International press research and report on it. How could it be anything but stolen if it was illegally annexed in 1967?
