1. Russia must be Nuts !!!!
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (04.03.11)
Not only can they end up in terrorist hands, if Assad loses control they will. I don't believe Assad would give the weapons to terrorists because it would be easy to trace it back to him, and then Israel would light up Damascus. Assad is a lot of things, but completely stupid isn't one of them. But why would Russia even take the chance, when they could conceivably be turned on them? It makes no sense, and they don't need the money that badly.
2. Putin endangering Israel
Brod ,   USA   (04.03.11)
What is Putin's plan? Does he plan to wipe out Israel through his proxy-Syria and other surrounding Islamist-Jihadist countries hellbent on the destruction of Israel? Is he still living in the Cold War? Or, does he plan to become Hitler by way or giant missiles?

Russia is a major problem in the Middle East!
4. 2 deals with Israel of great importance to Russia
Stephen in New York   (04.04.11)
There are 2 pending deals with Israel of great importance to Russia. One is to develop a Russian UAV production center in cooperation with Israel Aerospace Industries and the other is to explore “space technology” together. Israel is a world leader in miniaturization and sensing technology. Bottom line is that Russia might consider carefully what it considers to be in its best interest. I personally cannot understand how Russian actions, especially regarding Iran, are so blissfully unconcerned about and unconnected to Russia’s interests in the Caucasus. One would think Russian would be concerned about nuclear weapons in the hands of Iran and possibly Iran’s proxies. Oh well, what me worry?
5. 1 good reason why Russia should not...
