1. This Idiot Doesn't Shut Up! First to Get the Boot!
EZ ,   US   (04.04.11)
If Egypt thinks it will be smooth sailing with big mouth morons like this they're in for one helluva shock because no one in the west will do business with them. This fool sounds like Iran! Egypt is in NO position to get into a confrontation with Israel and this big mouth is making Egypt look like crap! Like a bunch of total clowns! Egypts military had better dump this guy and keep him under wraps or they'll wind up the poorest, most pathetic country in the ME. These people go back on any deals, they loose the Sinai (again) as well they should. Unless they shove a sock in this dudes yap or Egypt will tank MAJORLY!!! There are NO players on the military field to help these numbskulls out so they better get a clue or theyll get NATO...from above...or worse: the IDF. Shut this man down: he's BAD for Egypt!!!
2. Minister Nabil al-Arabi
larry Butler ,   kibbutz nir oz   (04.04.11)
Minister Nabil al-Arabi is a little naive , and will lose more then he intends to gain.... but without the oil the Arab states don't have anything to offer the world !
3. Blame BIBI
Sheik Rattle & Roll ,   USA   (04.04.11)
It is all BIBI's fault. He should of known that the collapse of Mubarak would be a problem for Israel. He could of invaded Egypt and put down the protesters , but instead they blame Obama for not supporting Mubarak knowing that no matter what anybody says or done the people spoke and Mubarak was done. . It just shows BIBI is weak he should take care of Israeli interest and stop blaming Obama and MAN-UP and protect his people.
4. Move to coal and cut ties with Egypt
Al   (04.04.11)
Egypt will always be a has been nation and has been for the past 3000 years after the Jews left. They will go on being what they are best at. Anti-semites. There is tons of coal to be had at very cheap rates. You made a bad mistake cutting a deal with Egypt. If a bankrupt America wants to help Egypt let them. Remember Egypt is still your mortal enemy.
5. He is not idiot..
Waleed ,   Idaho US   (04.04.11)
He is not idiot, he is one right person in right place, and Israel should know that what is coming is not gonna be like how it was in the past, who cares about the west any way? Egypt was losing money in that deal and Israel won't dare to attack Sinai again, the world is changing, wake up you idiots..
6. for ez from the US
Marwan ,   Egypt   (04.04.11)
You and ur so goddamn bold statements u act like u r an expert on the egyptian-israeli situation.why don't you just understand what egyptians are asking for? It's simply our rights.Dont start with talking about war threats you know nothing about the egyptian militiray and how strong we are.we have a cause to fight for israels dont, they dont even have an identity.
7. All the more reason to develop our own resources immediately
Eliezer ,   Jerusalem   (04.04.11)
and stop this stupid game. We pontificate about where to site our gas terminals and processing plant and delay even further using our own natural gas and oil. Could it be that Israeli big business has a finger in the pie and they don't want to lose lucrative commissions, which the Israeli consumer pays because of their greed. Somebody tell them they have enough money to live a life of luxuary - just like Mubark's sons who were paid off $m to support the deal with Egypt because we had corrupt goverment in Israel.
8. Who are the other customers for egyptian gas?
Raphael ,   Netanya   (04.04.11)
Egyptians are actually very poor negociators, as they misrepresent the power balance: Israel is both the closest (thus with the cheapest transport costs) customer, and does not need any more to rely upon egyptian supplies, thanks to Leviathan.
9. I'm Arabian
Egyptian ,   Cairo, Egypt   (04.04.11)
Really you think so nothing we presented to civilization or the world except oil. I'm sorry but you are the naive one not our foreign minister for sure you're living on your world of your own
10. egyptian gaz is
egyptian gaz is ,   egyptian gaz is   (04.04.11)
egyptian gaz is cheaper than coal and any source of energy! so we expect the bill of electricity to be rose during the next few months!
11. Why are we not pushing for the gas off Haifa to be on line ?
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (04.04.11)
We have huge gas finds of Haifa but we are buying gas from what will shortly be an hostile or even enemy country - Egypt! This is ridiculous! Netanyahu is so busy struggling to appease Shas and attacking the "Leftist" press about his travel fiddles that he is not running the country and doing what is best for the people of Israel!
12. To #3 SR&R: Another Yank telling us to what to do!
Israeli ,   Israel   (04.04.11)
I certainly agree with you that Bibi is not doing the best for Israel but how many Israeli soldiers would you like to sacrifice in an invasion of Egypt while you sit on you butt in the USA? WOW! Can you just image the condemnation that your President, Barack Hussein Obama and Hilary YapYap Clinton? Before you encourage Israel to fix its mess why don't you tell your Administration to fix the catastrophe in Afghanistan and Iraq that has claimed the lives of so many US Soldiers?
13. Isn't revolution wonderful
zionist forever   (04.04.11)
If this had been a private business and one manager gave favorable deals to clients and then he stepped down and it was discovered he was giving discounts he would be in trouble not the client who has negotiated a good deal. There are non islamist parties who say Camp David must be renegotiated. Egypt which has already shut off gas supplies now want us to pay back good deals Mubarak made. This is just the caretaker military government getting tough when there is a multi party civilian government they will all be wanting to outdo each other for votes. Best way to get the votes is to make political or economic demands from Israel. The result of Egypt's revolution is only going to get worse for Israel.
14. Reply - Zionist forever
Hegazi ,   Cairo, Egypt   (04.04.11)
Before the revolution Israel used to support Mubarak for the sake of such good deals, now instead of supporting Mubarak Israel should support Egypt itself or else you will soon stay thirsty in the dark. (No water, no electricity). To support Egypt and live in REAL peace answer the demands of Palestinians, and declare their country. Israel used to show off for the whole world that its the only democracy in the region, now that things has changed you will no longer be the spoiled kid, and I suggest you get used to it. So, yes the revolution is wonderful, cause it will make you take your rightful place in the region, and no backdoor deals will be made. Good luck.
15. So, how's the smell from Tahrir Sq. now? - Gas?
tom ,   tel aviv   (04.04.11)
16. Money
Omar ,   Nasr City, Cairo   (04.04.11)
Egyptian would rather lose money than sell Israel gas
17. you are don't understand any thing

18. to #14 in Cairo
Eddie ,   london UK   (04.04.11)
First, we wish you success in democratization of your country. But please do not blame Israel for Egypt having been a dictatorship. Egypt started wars against Israel as a dictatorship, and reached a peace also as a dictatorship. If Egypt had been a democracy in 1948, perhaps none of these wars would have occurred. Israel made peace with Egypt, and had to deal with the country as it was. Your votes did not count then, so make them count now. Gas- Israel has its own supplies now, so i think you will have to try exporting it to other countries, and see what deal you can achieve with them.
19. take a chill pill
s7s ,   CAIRO   (04.04.11)
our minister demands a fair price for our gas , why you are considering him hostile for this ????!!!!
20. to Ez
abdalla mousa ,   6th october city   (04.04.11)
WTH , this is our gas you dont get to give us orders and personaly i d rather chock on it than sell it to israel , israel stole our gas bribing gamal mubarak and we will demand our rights also you dont get to threaten our land .. we already crushed your all mighty IDF in 1973 & your israeli friends fears nothing more than getting their civilians/soldiers killed , so trust me they wont dare retake sinai or simply they will be mass slaughtered .. your gas-dependant US cant threaten arabs economy .. Arab countries threaten yours cheers mate :D :D
21. We are getting nurves HA?
Cima ,   USA   (04.04.11)
22. Inface Egypt
Cima ,   USA   (04.04.11)
What the hill are you thinking. Yesterday is not like today. And tomorrow is not like today. what do you think if we invade Egypt. Syria will set Idol. We can not fight Hezbollah , you think we can go to ware with Egypt and Syria. what a Moran.
23. What nonsense!
Sam ,   New York   (04.04.11)
You Israelis keep complaining that the Arabs are anti-semite and that they are racist and that they are violent... bla bla BLAAAAAA. BULLSHIT all the way! They just booted a dictator who tortured and killed his own people and you leeches only care about your pockets. You are seriously pathetic. Either pay up or shut up! The whole world of gas and oil is at sellers' beck and call and their dictations rule, you're the first to know this. You just care about your interests and anyone who cares about their and wants to negotiate their own good deal automatically becomes "against Israel". I'm writing for my representative here and telling him no more piggy-backs for Israel, they can take care of themselves for now.
24. well... here is the problem
proud Arab ,   UAE   (04.04.11)
first of all i think this issue should just go to the court .... if the private company is paying the required tax gas extraction and exportation. then god bless ... its their own business if they want to sell it for a lower price. but if they pay Egyptian people lower in terms of taxation .... well at this point simply government should demand the company to pay the the full tax thats it... how much they sell it for or even if they hand it for free should be non of the government business... small remark: Anti-Semitic is a very broad term that should include Arabs who are sons of Ismail. I would rather you guys call it Anti-Jewish. stop using the fancy term. many Jewish are full of hatred to Arabs. but also there are many good Jewish people how don't hate Arabs. I know haters wouldn't listen to advice so I would rather tell them to **** them selves
25. gas price hikes..
Rafi ,   Montreal, Canada   (04.04.11)
If Israel has been paying Mubarak and Egypt in the past, it should agree to pay only Egypt now...no retroactive pay...Egypt should get it from Mubarak.. Fair is Fair...Idiots and loud mouths on both sides should leave politics to politicians and not hot heads...No matter who is stronger, that aim is to LIVE and Prosper....war mongering should be something of the past with the new opportunities for the ME. If the hot heads got rid of their dictator to declare war on Israel, the cost will be high to both sides...and the winner will end up a loser. If all armies are so very strong now...the ME will stop to exist! No Arab is a friend of the Palestinians...Arabs mistrust Arabs and keep killing each other...Israel can only be a welcome contribution to peace and prosperity in the ME...don't threaten it!....we have a stronger case to win than hate...you are getting rid of your dictators who knew it and stayed away from war......getting help from Israel's friends to build your military.... now get out of isolation and come into the 21st century you all new potential new leaders of Egypt...chose prosperity over destruction for your people.
26. # 6 Identity,Israel and Egypt
J.K. ,   Brooklyn USA   (04.04.11)
Marwan ! Jews in Israel speak the same language, practice the same religion,as the people of Israel did 3000 years ago,can you say the same about Egypt ?.Egypt lost it's identity after the Mohamedenians invaded Egypt, and turned it into a primitive and backwarded nation, and destroyed the civilization of Nefertity and Cleopatra, the Saudis have no civilization, but have a lot of oil, what does Egypt possess ?.the Muslim brotherhood, and antisemitism.
27. Peace treaty
Ralph levy ,   Usa   (04.04.11)
I was in israel during the 73 war and I was very wary of the negotiated treaty with Egypt while I trusted Sadat I knew then that treatys can be broken and goverments change. I thought then we should have kepted some of the Sinai. I felt that if the treaty was broken we would have to retake the Sinai again. I felt that treaties should be negotiated based on what if security clauses. Treaties are not made based on one man. I feel I will be proven right and I hope we will not make that mistake again with the pa.
28. Gaza
John cone ,   Usa   (04.04.11)
When will we learn cut off water and power to gaza let the Egyptians take care of them better them than the palistinians who will demand the division of israel for a corridor. If the Egyptians allow weapons unto gaza they will be responsible and suffer the military consequences by israel. No to any further treaty changes with them.
29. Hegazi #14
German ,   Germany   (04.04.11)
Why do all Arabs on this page write with such hatred? How can peace ever be achieved when all you do is gloat, threat, curse and attack? Why is a deal never respectable for you once your government changes? Can you be trusted at all? And about your democracy: Let's wait and see what happens when the Muslim Brotherhood wins your "democratic Elections"
30. Abdakkah - wishing you more victories
Miche Norman ,   Hod Hasharon Israel   (04.04.11)
Let me congratualte you on your victory in 1973, none of us here or for that matter anywhere else outside of Egypt were aware of it - I mean your victory was impressive - the Arabs lost 334 aircraft in air to air combat - Israel 5 yep you outdid us there - you lost 10 naval craft to our none - most impressive - you started the war telling your troops you were on the way to Tel-Aviv and ended up on the road to Cairo - your 3rd army surrounded us from the inside - first time its ever been done by a victorious number - we lost 2,250 soldiers the Arab armies over 16,000 a pure sign of a crushing defeat from us - and inally you had to crawl to the UN to beg them to stop the war that you had started, another sure sign of victory.
