So any conflicting perceptions should be set aside.
2. Small steps.....perhaps one day....
Avi ,   Jerusalem   (04.04.11)
but in the meantime each one does as G-d commands and it is a good thing!
3. Ooooh boy, they are gonna get it when they get back home!
Talula ,   Israel   (04.04.11)
If only Ahmalooneydinejad wasn't around, the world would be such a better place. Our guys look a bit like a ZZ Top throughback band from the 70s. But nevertheless, I'm beaming with pride to know that they are there helping.
4. Such a change to read something like this.
Vicky ,   Ashkelon Israel   (04.04.11)
Oh what a wonderful world if we took a lesson from these resue forces and the closeness of the Japanese peoples?
5. I hope they'll be allowed to live
Daniel Breslauer ,   Jerusalem   (04.04.11)
Especially the one on the picture. I hope he realized this picture would appear in the media - it seems he didn't.... I doubt that he would have agreed to the picture had he known it would appear in the Israeli media (which I'm pretty sure the Iranians also read). But, back to the point - it is great to see they are working together, and as they say, the people should be friends even if the leaders fight. By the way, tea isn't really problematic regarding kashrut!
6. I know many Iranian people - they are all kind and warm
Mike ,   Oxford UK   (04.04.11)
Unlike the dictators that hold them and their countrymen hostage, they hold positive views of Israel and Israelis.
7. Bla Bla Bla
John P. ,   NYC   (04.04.11)
Good for ZAKA tema not to drink from their stuff. 99% It was posioned 99% They will get bitten back in Iran 99% We will never be friends with Iran All my statistics are based on 1% error. :)

(04.04.11)

jason white ,   afula, israel   (04.04.11)

10. THEY WILL BE HUNG, FOR SURE
Ricardo Macher ,   Karnei Shomron IL   (04.04.11)
This very afternoon the Iranian Government will release a note informing they have no conection with these "traitors". They will end up dead, hung in a huge crane in downtown Teheran.
11. I've Always Thought If People...
Mark from Georgia ,   USA   (04.04.11)
Work together they can't help but get close and form bonds. That's the way the real world works, but I wonder what will happen to the Iranian team when they get home? Let's face it, peace among all nations is just better for the world in all aspects. All the resources used to fight, could be used to benefit mankind. Even with Israel having to spend enormous amounts of money on defense, they still managed to rank 4th in the world when it comes to patents (inventions). While you look at the list, not a single Muslim country is in the top 10. Think about that! With 57 out of 192 member nations in the UN, almost one third of all the nations in the world. Not one Muslim country made that list (the top 10). Sad, except for IED's and suicide vests they offer nothing.
12. Idiotic move for Israel
Steve from Raleigh   (04.04.11)
Iran will claim they harvest organs by the end of the week. Tell the Iranians do what they do best; hanging people and mass murder.
13. ZAKA volunteers with Iranian delegation member
Tobie ,   South Africa   (04.04.11)
Why the camo dress I wonder. The ZAKA can bee seen because their yellow & orange suits.
14. Everyday reading the paper is depressing.
noa ,   israel   (04.04.11)
Finally something worthy of reading. Sorry that it had to be the misfortune of the poor Japanese that brought that on.
15. Who did Israel sent?
David ,   TA   (04.04.11)
Those guys look like the rabanut team, not rescue workers.
16. Very heart-warming - the power of the human connection
William ,   Israel   (04.04.11)
Remove politics (and the confines of religion) from a situation and humans can basically overcome anything. It only takes a common goal, and in this case, to bring aid and solace to a third party in need.
17. #10 Hung?
Robert ,   Brisbane Australia   (04.04.11)
"THEY WILL BE HUNG, FOR SURE" I thought capital punishment was outlawed in Israel.
18. 2 groups of thugs.....
Big deal ,   Israel   (04.04.11)
competing for the good guy award
19. No. 17, not funny.
noa ,   israel   (04.04.11)
You know number 10 meant they would be hung in Iran, and it really is not so far fetched. It took great courage for the Iranian team to do that, and I do hope they won't be punished for it. I know an Israeli that was on a public internet site for learning languages. When the Iranian pupils tried to communicate with him, the pupils were deleted from that site, by their government. Sad.
20. So What?!
Salma ,   Palestine   (04.04.11)
oh zionists you are very "romantic", you would make me cry ; )
21. #15 Zaka team
Madeleine ,   Rehovot Israel   (04.04.11)
David, surely you know that the Zaka team are mostly - if not completely - made up of religious and hassidic Jews. they are the guys who, after a suicide bombing, will climb lamposts and trees to collect all body parts, even bits of skin in the hope that the bodies can then be uried with all their parts. They do an incredible and unenviable job.
22. This is not Iranian flag in the picture.
leo ,   usa   (04.04.11)
23. Meshi-Zahav - what tshuva can do for a person
Brian Cohen ,   Judean Peoples Front   (04.04.11)
I am constantly impressed by Yehuda Meshi Zahav, who decades ago came across as a rabble rouser. His contributions to Israeli society and the world are impressive, and he gives a splendid example of how ultra-orthodox Jews contribute to society and the world. The work these Zaka volunteers are doing is not for the weak of heart or the weak of stomach. It is intensive, grisly, demanding, draining, and holy work to find bodies in the horrible rubble, identify them, and help bring peace and closure to the victims and their families. May their hands be strengthened in their work.
24. # 17 ARE YOU ILLITERATE?
Ricardo Macher ,   Karnei Shomron IL   (04.04.11)
hung in a huge crane in downtown Teheran
25. The hate here is very warm and fuzzy!
IRAN#1   (04.04.11)
But I must inform you that the guy in the picture does not represent the Islamic Republic of Iran, his flag is fake. These must be NGO volunteers now Iranian Red Cresent ones. As for the Israelis being such A-holes not drinking tea they are offered and joking about being posioned, it shows why you can not expect to be just an "average joe" in the 'hood!
26. not Iranian flag
Habib Seliman ,   New York, USA   (04.04.11)
You are correct, it was the previous flag, just like the Libyans are now using. Is there a hidden message in this picture?
27. #25 about "such A-holes not drinking tea "
Rebecca ,   Israel   (04.04.11)
There are dietary restrictions religious Jews follow. I have religious family members who won't have tea in my house (I am Jewish)& it doesn't offend me. I have Hindu friends who won't consume anything in my house for fear I'll give them meat - I accept that! It was a joke about the pisoning, that's all, and the Iranians probably also had a few at the Israelis' expense. Big deal! they're human! The hate you sense is yours!
28. ZAKA a RELIGIOUS Israeli team.
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (04.04.11)
It has to be said.
29. Flag in the picture
Iranian Jew ,   La   (04.04.11)
Is not the the one is used now and this guy most probably won't go back to Iran. Nevertheless it's for a good cause.
30. # 20
Birdi ,   Israel   (04.04.11)
Jealousy will get you nowhere, salami. Where are your pallie helpers? have any of them been sent to help in Japan? Nope, they have'nt. Now cry over that!
