This is the same UNHCR which Gaddafi's Libya was a member of. If they can make Gaddafi's Libya and member of the UNHCR and only SUSPEND not expel membership as a punishment for dropping bombs on civilians. What Goldstone has shown is not do they think Israel committed war crimes of some kind but that the new way of international thinking is Israel is not allowed to defend itself. Yes we don't like the fact Hamas are firing thousands of rockets into Israeli towns but thats no excuse to use force to protect its civilians. Once again the UN has shown that as far as they are concerned there is no place for Israel in this world.

Dont confuse the UN HRC with human rights. It all about croni-ism - entitlement of the new order in power.

Look, these guys ignored or cherry picked the testimony they wanted to include, and what they wanted to ignore!! Anything to make sure they would arrive at a forgone conclusion. Libya was chairman of the Human Rights Commission. That says it all! Disgusting!

Gaddafi was not suspended from the UNHCR because he attacked civilians. Yemen, Bahrain, Syria, Saudi Arabia are much worse and it seems that Obama and Cameron have killed more Libyan civilians in their air attacks than Gaddafi did when fighting the "rebels". Gaddafi was suspended because Obama and Cameron decided to depose him. It is not clear why, but some have raised the possibility that Obama wants to steal Libyan oil.

Wasn't Gaddafi head of the UNHRC at the time of the Goldstone report?

1. If Judge Goldstone's perspicacity does not count, then why was he chosen to lead the inquiry? 2. If Goldstone's recognition of his own error only represents his "personal" best judgement, then his former ignorance best represents the view that the UNHRC would like to promulgate? 3. Who exactly is promulgating this ignorance, despite evidence to the contrary publically acknowledged by the investigator chosen by themselves, under the official aegis of the UN?

Even Dick Goldstone in that same article described UN Human rights council as "skewed" against Israel.

and the US withdrawing its membership should be an issue in the next US Presidential campaign. Its an embarrassment to remain a member.

The UNHRC is a useless joke. The world already knows this.

When the author of the report expresses that he signed a misleading document, the least the UNHRC should do (if it was an objective agency interested not only in promoting justice but also in its own somewhat degraded reputation) would be to at least consult all committee members about reviewing the matter brought up by Goldstone. Playing with procedural arguments to leave the difamatory report untouched is not going to make the UNHRC regain the luster it lost long ago when it became the instrument of the proeminent human rights violators in the Middle-East dictatorships in such endeavours as the Durban Conference.

The UN Human-rights Committee like hitler, obviously don't consider the Jews to be Humans, But of course, we have come to expect this from the UN. When it comes to Israel, the UN has censured them more than any other nation. Just as well God keeps record. I have read (The Book), Israel wins in the end.
